Funeral Thursday, December 16. Would friends please meet 1.00 p.m., for service at All Saints' Church, Hurworth followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of Ward 31 Trust Fund, Darlington Memorial Hospital.

TURNBULL Framwellgate Moor Peacefully on December 15. Geoffrey, aged 74 years, a dearly loved husband of Irene, father of Linda and David, father-in-law of Beverley and grandfather of Clare and Debbie. Will be sadly missed by all the family. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, December 22 at 12.00 noon for service.

TWEEDY Jeanne, aged 54 years (formerly of the Shoulder of Mutton, Middleton Tyas), died peacefully at the Friary Hospital, Richmond on December 16, 2004. Dearly loved wife of Stan, dear sister of Val, sister-in-law of Susan and Gerald and a much loved aunty of Chris, Gemma, Anna and Erin. Funeral service in St. Michael and All Angels' Church, Middleton Tyas on Thursday, December 23 at 1.30 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, may be given in church for the Victoria Ward, Friary Hospital, Macmillan Nurses and Church Funds.

TYERS (nee Cairns) On December 11, peacefully, with dignity and her family around her. Mavis, aged 59 years, dearly beloved wife of Henry, devoted mam of Julie, Linda and Jimmy, a very special mother-in-law of Mary-Ellen, Wayne and Beau, also a much loved granny of Kizzy, Pearl-Annie, Jimmy, Charlie and James and so dearly loved by all who knew her. Service to be held at St. Charles' R.C. Church, Tudhoe on Thursday at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment at York Hill Cemetery.

VERDON December 15 (peacefully in hospital), of Holberry Terrace. Ruth (nee Callaghan), aged 82 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Barney, devoted mother of Barbara and mother-in-law to Barry, also a much loved nana of Aaron, Lisa and Sarah. Cremation Tuesday, December 21 at Durham. Cortege leaving her daughter Barbara's residence (Riverside, South Church) at 12.30 p.m. for a service in the Methodist Chapel, Auckland Park at 12.40 p.m. Friends please meet at chapel.

WALKER December 11, of Coundon. Jean, aged 62 years, beloved wife of John, devoted mam of Andrew, dear mother-in-law to Elaine, a much loved and loving grandma of Kathryn, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Cortege to leave her son's residence at 3.00 p.m. on Friday, December 17 for service in Durham Crematorium at 3.30 p.m. Would friends please meet at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations, in lieu, may be left at the crematorium for Cancer Research.

WALKER Arthur, aged 78 years, of Winston, died peacefully at home on December 8. Dearly loved husband of Phyllis. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, December 16 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel.

WALSH Peacefully, in hospital, of Thirsk. Lynne (nee Harris), aged 64 years, beloved wife of Jim, dearly loved mother of Richard, Susan and Jonathan, mother-in-law of Vanessa, Paul and Chez, a special grandmother, loving daughter of May, a dear sister of Anthony and Leslie. Will friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Tuesday, December 21 at 1.00 p.m.

WATERS Died December 15, peacefully at Lutterworth Cottage Hospital. Rose Margaret, aged 74 years, of Bedale, dear wife of the late Frank, loving mother of Mary, Frank and James and grandma of William, Thomas and Daniel. Funeral service to be held at West Tanfield Methodist Chapel on Wednesday, December 22 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment. (Cut flowers are preferred).

WATSON On December 2, her 74th birthday, in hospital, of Stokesley, former Deputy Commander at Carlton Outdoor Centre. Elizabeth, dearly loved partner of Dennis. Cremation service has been held at her request.

WEATHERALD December 15 (peacefully in hospital), of Ullswater Crescent, Crook. Margaret Elizabeth (nee Henderson), aged 93 years, beloved wife of the late Arthur, devoted mother of Malcolm and the late Jeff, dear mother-in-law of Rita and Marlene, also a much loved grandma of Dawn and Kevin and great-grandma of Dean and Ashleigh. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, December 21 at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. Sadly missed

WEBSTER Christine Ann, aged 58 years, of 12 Meadowfield Road, Colburn, died suddenly in hospital on December 8. Dearly loved wife of George, much loved mum of Debra, Linda, Barbara and George, a loving grandma and a very dear sister and aunt. James Wilfred, aged 61 years, dearest dad of Karen, Amanda and Andrew, much missed father-in-law of Neil, Michael and Claire, devoted grandad of Craig, Philip, Rebecca, Luke and baby Emma. WHELDON Iris, aged 79 years, of West Auckland, died on December 12, due to a tragic accident. Beloved wife of the late Robert William, much loved mam of Jean, Margaret, Jacqueline and the late Jeffrey, dear mother-in-law of Lilian, Billie and Kenny, a loving gran, great-gran and sister-in-law of Maude. Funeral service at St. Helen's Church, St. Helens Auckland on Monday, December 20 at 11.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. Margaret, aged 80 years, beloved wife of the late Robert, dearly loved mam of Ann, Christine, Charles and the late Robert Jnr., dearest mother-in-law of Peggy, also a much loved nana of Ian, Paul, David and Joanne. Will friends please meet for service at Holy Trinity Church, West Cornforth on Tuesday at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. A bus will be provided.

WILLEY Durham City At home with his family, on December 14. David, a much loved husband, dad and grandpop. Journalist and Magistrate. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, December 21 at 10.30 a.m. By request, family flowers only. Annie, aged 97 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Charles, much loved mam of Bernice and the late Raymond, a dear mother-in-law and grandmother. Friends please meet at St. Bede's R.C. Church, Newton Hall for service on Wednesday, December 15 at 10.00 a.m., prior to interment in South Road Cemetery.

Douglas William, aged 60 years, loving father of William, much loved grandfather of Lauren and Beth and a dear brother of John and nephew of Florence. Will friends please meet for service in Wolsingham Parish Church on Friday, December 17 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the British Heart Foundation, c/o Barclays Bank, Wolsingham.

WOOD Ethel (nee Alderson), on November 23 at Silverdale, Staffs (formerly Moor Edge Brandon. After a long illness borne with great patience and surrounded by her loving family. Was cremated December 3. Now at Peace.

Thomas William, aged 87 years, dearly loved husband of the late Mary Catherine, devoted father of Brian Thomas, Teresa and David and a dear father-in-law of Linda, Dave and Linda, also a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Interment Thursday, December 30 in St. Cuthbert's R.C. Churchyard following a Requiem Mass in St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Crook at 10.00 a.m. Friends please meet at church.
