YORKE On December 28, peacefully at Denehurst Nursing Home, Ferryhill. Christina Susannah, aged 101 years (late of Belmont). Beloved wife of the late Pete, dearly loved mother of David, dearest mother-in-law of Lorely, also a much loved nana of Kirsten and a loving great-nana. Cortege leaving South Farm, Mainsforth, Tuesday January 4 at 11.30 a.m. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation at 12.00 noon.

ADAMSON Manfield December 30 (peacefully at home). Marjorie (nee Heslop), aged 79 years. Sadly missed. Funeral Friday, January 7 at All Saints' Church, Manfield, 1.00 p.m. followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium 1.45 p.m. No flowers by request. Donations to All Saints' Church.

AITKEN December 31 (peacefully in hospital), of Johnson Street, Eldon Lane. Joyce, aged 66 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Keith, a dearly loved mother of Colin, Michael and Carol, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved grandma of Kimberley and Paul. Will be sadly missed by all of her many dear friends. Cremation Tuesday, January 11 at Durham following a service in the crematorium chapel at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Always in our hearts

Elsie Alice, aged 79 years, dearly loved sister of Eva, Harold, Doris, Betty and Olive, also a dear aunt, great-aunt and friend to many. Funeral Friday, January 14. Would friends please meet 1.30 p.m., for service at St. Mary's Church, Gainford followed by interment in Gainford Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, in lieu, to St. Mary's Church Fund.

APPLEBY Clifford On December 25, suddenly but peacefully, after a short illness, of Shildon. Cliff, aged 57 years, dearly loved partner of Pauline, beloved son of Dorothy and the late Melvyn Appleby, very dear brother of Brian. Funeral service of thanksgiving for Cliff's life at Shildon Methodist Church, Thursday, January 6 at 11.00 a.m., prior to interment at Shildon Cemetery. All are welcome, meet at the church. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Tiger Fund, c/o Rosemary Gowing, W.W.F. UK, Panda House, Weyside Park, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 1XR. We will miss you so, no words can tell, your voice, your smile, your love as well. You will remain a heartache, no-one knows the grief we will share when we all shall meet and you're not there.

Lena (nee Barron), aged 96 years, dearly loved wife of the late Fred, a dear adopted gran of Clare and Paul and little friend of Lewis and a dear friend of Vera. Cortege leaving residence at 12.05 p.m. on Friday, January 7 for service in The Village Methodist Church at 12.15 p.m., followed by interment at Chilton Cemetery.
ASHETT (Nee Barron) Lena, wife of the late Frederick Ashett, mother of Dorothy and grandmother of Darran, passed away peacefully on December 30, aged 96 years in Bishop Auckland Hospital. Funeral in Methodist Chapel, Ferryhill at 12.15 p.m. leaving Tenlands Nursing Home at 12.05 p.m. Family and friends to meet afterwards at 18 Blandford Street, Ferryhill. Ours is just a simple prayer God Bless and keep you in his care Love from Dorothy and Darran.

ATKINSON Washington (formerly of Birtley and Willington). Peacefully, on December 26. Eleanor, aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late John and special mum, grandma and sister. Will always be remembered. Family and friends please meet for service at Birtley Crematorium on Saturday, January 8 at 10.00 a.m. Family flowers only. Thomas Wilson (Tom), aged 74 years, beloved son of the late John Robert and Margaret Ellen, devoted brother of Lily and Nancy, a sadly missed brother-in-law of Keith, a treasured uncle of Janine and Ray. Elizabeth Nancy, aged 79 years, beloved wife of Leslie, dearly loved mother of David, Jane and Ruth and a much loved mother-in-law and grandma. Funeral Friday, January 7. BOUSFIELD On December 29, of Framwellgate Moor. Norman, aged 89 years, dearly loved husband of Doris, loving father of Peter and Christine and a much loved grandad of Marcus and Charlie. Dearly loved wife of Eric, devoted mother of Neil, Adele, Joseph, Joanne and Donna, much loved nana, great-grandma and mother-in-law. Who will be sadly missed. Will family and friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 12.00 noon on Friday, January 7, followed by cremation at Durham.

CLARKSON December 29, of Bishop Auckland. Derrick, aged 70 years, beloved husband of Margaret, much loved father of Karen, also a dear brother, son of Janet and the late James Banks. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 9.00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6.

CLARKSON Tracey Ann (nee Dawson), aged 41 years, of Romanby, died peacefully on December 27, 2004, in hospital, after a long illness borne with great courage, determination and dignity. Wonderful and caring wife to Clive, loving mother to Sarah and Amy, dear daughter of Jean and the late Peter, special sister to Helen and a much loved sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Would all please meet for service in St. Mary's Church, Kirkby Fleetham on Wednesday, January 5 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation. Flowers, or donations welcome in lieu, for the Mowbray Suite, Friarage Hospital, may be left in church on the plate provided.

COTTINGTON Marion, formerly of Gladstone Street, Crook, sister of the late George Lax, passed away peacefully at Burton upon Trent, on December 22, aged 93 years. Funeral service at Bretby Crematorium, Burton upon Trent on Wednesday, January 12 at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only please. Beloved wife of the late John William, dearly loved mother of the late Margaret, John and William, dearest mother-in-law and a much loved granma and great-granma. Cortege leaving residence Tuesday January 11, at 12.20 p.m. Friends please meet at All Saint's Church for service at 12.30 p.m. followed by interment at Wheatley Hill Cemetery.

ETHERINGTON Died suddenly on December 30. Eileen, much loved cousin of Barry Wheatley and dear friend of Edric Humble. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Friday January 7, at 3.30 p.m. Will always be remembered.
