Cortege leaving Craigarran Nursing Home, Trimdon Station, Friday at 12.30 p.m. Family and friends please meet at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village for service at 12.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

JACKSON (nee Charlton) Florence (Floss), aged 69 years, of Richmond, died peacefully at home on December 30. Dearly loved wife of Dennis, much loved mam of Denise, Christine, Peter, Gillian and Tracey, dear mother-in-law of Stephen, Gerry, Carol, Graham and Andrew, loving nana of Trevor, Shelly, Mark, Daniel, Michael, Louise, Leah, Lucy, Jaxon, Camilla, Peter, Bobby and Martin, adored great-nana of Jamie, Amber, Harry, Jude and Josie, loving sister to Evelyn, Susan and the late Greta, a dear sister-in-law and aunty of Lesley, Barry, Karen and Suzanne. Funeral service in St. Hilda's Church, Caldwell on Monday, January 10 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only, if desired, donations may be given in church for the Victoria Ward, Friary Hospital, Richmond and Caldwell Church Funds.

JOYCE On December 30, suddenly at home, of Church Street, Ferryhill Station. Amelia, aged 63 years, beloved wife of Clive, loving mam of Ann, Carol and Lynn, also a devoted nana and a dear sister. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium Chapel on Friday at 10.30 a.m.

KELL December 29 (peacefully in hospital), of Shildon. Norman, aged 90 years, dearly loved husband of Elsie, much loved brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Would friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium Chapel at 2.15 p.m. on Thursday, January 6. No flowers by request. Donations, in lieu, to the Asthma Fund.

KIPLING December 30 (peacefully after a short illness), of Bishop Auckland. John, aged 86 years, loving husband of the late Margaret, dearly loved dad of Ronnie and Alfie and dear father-in-law of June, a much loved grandad of Alvin, Jon and Angie. Friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium Chapel on Monday, January 10 at 2.30 p.m., followed by cremation. Everyone welcome back to the Derby Public House following the service.

KNIGHTS Edward James (Jim), aged 87 years, of Green Lane, Barnard Castle, died suddenly in hospital on December 31. Dearly loved husband of Margaret and a much loved dad, grandad and great-grandad. MARLEY December 31, of Westmoreland Street, Darlington. John Edwin, aged 61 years. A dearly loved brother of Carol, uncle of Karen, Claire, John, Angela and partners, a great-uncle, nephew and cousin, will be sadly missed. Funeral Tuesday, January 11. Cortege will leave sisters residence 1.15 p.m. for service at St. Mark's with St Paul's Church, Darlington 1.30 p.m. followed by burial at The North Cemetery. Will friends please meet at church. MARSHALL John (Jock), aged 83 years, of Ashcroft, Catterick Village, died peacefully at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Catterick Garrison on December 30 and his dearly loved wife, Kathleen, aged 83 years, died peacefully at Hillcrest Nursing Home on January 3. A much loved father and mother, grandfather and grandmother, great-grandfather and great-grandmother. Enquiries, and if desired, donations for Cancer Research U.K. c/o. MERRITT December 26, peacefully after a long illness patiently borne on her 90th birthday, of Surtees Street, Darlington. Janet, beloved wife of the late Jack, a dear mam of John and Peter, also a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral Monday, January 10. Will friends please meet for service 1.15 p.m., at St. Matthew with St. Luke's Church, prior to interment in the West Cemetery.

MILESTONE (formerly Skilbeck) December 21, of Waterside, Thirsk. Betty, aged 78 years, loving mother of Allan and Ann, a dear mother-in-law, gran and great-gran. The funeral service will be held at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, January 11 at 11.15 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

MINNIKIN December 30, suddenly, of 82 Church Lane, Ferryhill. David, aged 47 years, dearly loved husband and best friend of Aileen and a loved son of Marjorie and dear dad, grandad and son-in-law. Cortege leaving residence at 10.05 a.m. on Thursday, January 6 for service in St. Luke's Church at 10.15 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Donations in lieu of flowers please to Breast Cancer. The family have requested that friends refrain from wearing all black. Refreshments will be held at the Manor House afterwards.

NIXON December 25, (of Darlington). Ethel Margaret (Peggy), dearly loved daughter of the late Emily and Eddy Nixon. A much loved sister, auntie, great-auntie and great-great-auntie to many, also a friend of many. Will be sadly missed by all. The funeral will take place on Wednesday January 12, 1.00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, prior to a private cremation. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if so desired may be made to, The D.E.C.
