BRAY Gladys, aged 98 years. Peacefully at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Catterick on January 11, 2005. (Formerly of Cedar Grove, Barton). Beloved wife of the late Nobby Bray, much loved mother of Bert, Lilian and Pearl, a dear mother-in-law and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Barton on Wednesday January 19, at 2.30 p.m. followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. Donations if desired my be given in church for The Alzheimers Society.

Nora, aged 63 years, dearly beloved wife and best friend of Gordon, a very much loved mam of Angela and Andrew, also a dearest grandma of Abbey. The funeral service will take place on Monday, January 17, 9.45 a.m., at St. John's Church, Shildon prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only by request. Friends cordially invited for refreshment at The Postchaise Hotel after the funeral service.

CLARK On December 31, 2004, suddenly in hospital, of Throckley (formerly of Hutton Magna). Norman, devoted husband of Olive Louisa and treasured father of Jennifer, much loved grandfather of Jonathan. Would family and friends please meet for funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Throckley on Thursday, January 13 at 1.30 p.m., prior to cremation at the West Road Crematorium at 2.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. COATES Annie, aged 94 years, formerly of Shildon, died in the loving care of South Church Care Home on January 6. Dearly loved wife of the late Alfred, stepmother of Doris, also a loving nana and aunt. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium on Monday, January 17 at 11.15 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given for South Church Care Home Residents' Fund on the plate provided at the crematorium.

Linda, aged 51 years, dearly beloved wife of Michael, a loving mother of Kay and her fiance Graham, treasured daughter of Martha and the late George, loving daughter-in-law of Bill and the late Emma, also a precious sister, auntie and friend to many. DOUGLAS Robert William (Bobby), ex Newsagent of Darlington, ex Postmaster of Frosterley, January 8 (suddenly but peacefully at home), aged 67 years. Darling husband of Glenna, a wonderful and much loved dad to Sandy, Emma and Alister and father-in-law to Michelle, a very, very special grandad to Hannah and Lucas, loved and respected by all who knew him. Will live on in our hearts for ever and ever. A committal service in Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, January 18 at 1.15 p.m. will be followed by a Thanksgiving Service in St. Michael and All Angels' Church, Frosterley at 2.30 p.m. Family flowers only please. DUNN (nee Young) On January 9, peacefully in hospital, of Harewood Lane, Romanby, Northallerton. Elizabeth, aged 64 years, loving wife of John and dearly loved mother of Peter and Joanna, mother-in-law to Phil and Kim, dearest grandma to Katy, Rob and Isabella, sister of Jim, David and Peter. Funeral service and cremation to be held in St. Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium 3.00 p.m. Friday, January 14. Edgar, aged 98 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Muriel, a devoted father of Alan and Anita and a dear father-in-law of Harry, also a much loved granda of Catherine and John and a dear uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle. Cremation Wednesday, January 19 at Durham. Cortege leaving residence at 9.30 a.m., for a service in the crematorium chapel at 10.00 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium.

DURHAM On January 12, peacefully in hospital, formerly of The Peppergarth and Oak Mount, Northallerton. Ruby, aged 85 years, loving mother of Doreen, Christine and Sandra and a dear mother-in-law, nan and great-nan. Family cremation followed by thanksgiving service in Romanby Methodist Church 1.00 p.m., Friday, January 21. Family flowers only. Donations if wished may be given for chapel funds and Oak Mount. Will be sadly missed.
