APPLEYARD May 19, at home, in Romanby, Northallerton. Ken, dearly loved husband of Gladys, father of David and Brian, dear father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral Tuesday, May 27 11.15 a.m. at Darlington Crematorium.

ARMSTRONG May 19 (peacefully, in hospital), of 27 Hill Crest, Esh Village. Elizabeth (Lizzie), aged 78 years, beloved wife of the late Frank, much loved mother, gran, great-gran, sister and cousin. Will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass at Esh Laude R.C. Church on Tuesday, May 27 at 2.00 p.m. Interment to follow in Langley Park Cemetery.

ARMSTRONG May 19, (peacefully), of Tow Law. William (Bill), aged 82 years, loving brother of Charlie, Jennie, Margaret, Don and the late Johnny. Will friends please meet for service in St. Philip and St. James Church, Tow Law on Thursday May 29, at 12 noon, followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

BARKER May 18, peacefully at home, in Northallerton. Josephine, aged 77 years, dearly loved wife of Ralph, loving mother of Stephen and Judith. Funeral service and cremation to be held in St. Bede's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium 3.00 p.m. Friday, May 23. Family flowers only. Donations, if wished, may be sent to Take Heart, The General Infirmary, Leeds.

BENNETT (Chester-le-Street) May 18, in hospital, late of Shildon. Ernest, aged 92 years, beloved husband of the late Evelyn and Mary, loved dad of David and June and step dad of Lesley, Yvonne, Rick and Hazel. Friends please meet at Chester-le-Street Parish Church on Tuesday, May 27 at 11.00 a.m. for service, followed by interment.

BLACKETT Fred, aged 89 years, passed peacefully away on May 15, of Cockfield. Beloved husband of Mabel, loving father of Enid. Sadly missed by all family and friends. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, May 22 at 10.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired, for Ward 16, Bishop Auckland General Hospital, may be given at the crematorium chapel.

Martha (Marty), aged 84 years, dearly loved wife of the late Fred, much loved mam of Peter, John, Pat, Keith, John and Sandra, also a dear sister. Service Tuesday, May 27 in Ferryhill Methodist Church at 12.00 noon, followed by interment in Duncombe Cemetery. Would friends please meet at church.

BOWES May 17 (peacefully), in Peterlee Nursing Home, late of Gore Hill Estate, Thornley. Eva Clara (Betty, nee Acaster), aged 87 years, wife of the late Richard William (Dick), dearly loved mother of Marshall and Yvonne and the late Pamela, dearest mother-in-law of Louise and a much loved nana and great-nana. Cortege leaving son's residence, Gore Hill Thornley on Thursday at 11.30 a.m. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium at 12.00 noon. Re-united with Dad died August 16, 2002 Look after her Lord in your Garden of Rest For while on earth she was one of the best.

Bella, aged 77 years, dearly loved wife of the late Tom, much missed sister of John and Jean and sister-in-law to Kitty and Tommy. Would family and friends please meet for service at St. Bartholomew's Church, Thornley on Wednesday at 1.30 p.m., followed by interment in Thornley Cemetery.

BOYLE May 18. Ada, dearly loved sister of Jim, Dot, Irene, Pam and the late Margaret. We will miss her so very much. Sadly missed also by in-laws, nephews and nieces.

John Edward (Ted), aged 84 years, re-united with his darling wife Mary, beloved father of John and Janet, much loved father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral service to take place on Friday, May 23 at 9.45 a.m. in Darlington Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only please.

BRIGHTY May 19, (tragically at home), of Darlington. Brian, aged 63 years, a dearest father of Cheryl, Ian, Andrea and a dear father-in-law, a much loved granda of Christopher, Haligh, Scott, Todd, Jordan and Kate, also beloved brother of Gillian and a dear brother-in-law and uncle, a devoted companion to Anne. DAWSON-SMITH Nicola (Nikki), aged 33 years, of Richmond, died tragically on Thursday, May 22. A wonderful daughter, partner, sister, aunty and a loyal friend. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral arrangements later.
