Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor, Tuesday for a service at 2.45 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only by request.

COOPER Edith (nee Parker) Formerly of East Banks, Chopgate. On January 20, 2005. Peacefully in Cambridge. Dearly loved wife of Bruce, mother of Nicola and Sally-Ann, grandmother of Charlotte and Alice. The funeral has taken place. CROOKS February 1 (peacefully, at home). Monica, aged 95 years, of Darlington, (formerly of East Lendings, Barnard Castle). Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral Wednesday February 9. Would friends please meet 10.45 a.m. for service at St. Augustine's R.C. Church, Darlington, followed by interment at Chilton Cemetery. Donations if so desired to St. Teresa's Hospice.

CROWTHER January 31, at Elderwood Residential Home, Darlington. Lilly (nee MacKenzie), aged 94 years, sadly missed by her family and friends. Funeral Monday. Friends please meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 10.15 a.m.

CURRY February 2, of Aged Miners Homes, Bearpark. Charlie, aged 83 years, dearly loved father of Charles, father-in-law of Maureen, loving grandad of Tracy and Lindsay and a dear great-grandad of Megan and Joseph. Friends please meet for service in Bearpark Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 9 at 1.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given to the Methodist Church. Friends welcome at Bearpark Club afterwards.

CUTCHIE January 27, of Shildon. Gwen, aged 80 years, devoted mother and mother-in-law to Peter and Rowena, Janet and Hylton, much loved grandma of Simon, Philip and Richard, loving great-grandma of Georgia and Jazmine, also a beloved sister and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 12.20 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, followed by private cremation at Darlington. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left in church for church funds.

DAVIS February 3, in Harrogate, aged 84 years. George William Davis (for sixty three years a Methodist Lay Preacher), dearly loved husband of Jean, dear uncle of Barbara and Diane and great-uncle of Alex, Natasha and Matthew. Service at Trinity Methodist Church, Harrogate on Thursday February 10, at 11.00 a.m. followed by private cremation.

DIXON Arthur Beverley of Middlestone Moor (son of the late Arthur and Lily Dixon of Tudhoe), aged 75 years, passed away suddenly in hospital on January 31, a much loved cousin of Mary, Ivy and Joe. Will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral service to be held at St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor on Monday, February 7 at 1.00 p.m., prior to interment at Rock Road Cemetery.

DUNN January 26, suddenly in hospital, of Bruce Glazier Terrace, Shotton Colliery. Ralph, aged 77 years, beloved husband of the late Margaret (Madge, nee Hancock), dearly loved father of Ralph, Margaret, Kenneth, Judith, Mandy and the late Pauline, dearest father-in-law and a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Cortege leaving residence Thursday at 2.10 p.m. Friends please meet at St. Saviours' Church for service at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard.

DWYER Eric, aged 88 years, of Hackforth, in hospital, on February 2, 2005. Much loved father of Gwen and Lorna, loving grandad of Jason, Sarah and Matthew and great-grandad to Kieran and Joseph. Funeral service in St. Mary's Church, Hornby on Wednesday, February 9 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the church.

ELLIOTT (nee Horseman) Joanne (Joan), of Trinity Mews, Darlington, on January 29, in hospital after a long illness, aged 78 years, dearly beloved wife of James. Funeral Tuesday. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 11.15 a.m.

ELSWORTH Dorothy, aged 87 years. On January 27, in Scarborough Hospital, beloved wife of the late Ted, dear mother of Margaret and Elaine and a loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Monday, February 7 at 1.15 p.m. Family flowers only please.

EMMERSON (nee Mafham) January 31, of Darlington. Jean, dearly loved wife of the late Ted, beloved mother of Peter, David, Richard and Victoria Jean and loving grandma of Matthew, James and Thomas. Funeral Wednesday February 9. Friends please meet for service in St. Mary's Church, Cockerton at 11.00 a.m. followed by private interment.

FAWLK February 2, of Shildon. Arthur Stephen, aged 96 years, devoted husband of the late Constance, beloved father of Arthur and Sheila, a dear father-in-law, also a much loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Will friends please meet for service in St. Thomas' R.C. Church, Shildon at 10.45 a.m. on Friday, February 11, followed by cremation at Darlington.

FIFOOT Brian Richard, aged 58 years, of Richmond, North Yorkshire, died suddenly but peacefully in hospital on January 31, after a long illness borne with great determination and bravery. A much loved, cherished and admired husband to Maggie, father of Adam, Oliver and Tom and a loving grandfather. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Tuesday, February 8 at 1.15 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations for Macmillan Cancer Relief (cheques payable to Cancer Care Donated Funds), the Marie Curie Nurses Fund or St. Teresa's Hospice. FOSTER On January 29, Mabel, of Hambleton Avenue, Northallerton, aged 91 years, peacefully in Southwoods Nursing Home. Dearly loved wife of the late William James, much loved mother of Elizabeth and mother-in-law of David, grandmother of Helen and Julia and their husbands Andrew and Justin and great-grandmother of Abigail, Hannah, Harry and Isabel. Funeral service to be held at All Saints' Church, Northallerton on Thursday, February 3 at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations may be given to church funds.

FRENCH David Edgar Peacefully at home, on January 30, after a long illness. David, aged 61 years, of Northallerton, a dearly beloved husband, father, stepfather and grandad. A reception into St. Ninian's Church, Baxtergate, Whitby will take place on Friday, February 4 at 4.30 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 8 at 11.00 a.m., in St. Ninian's Church. Committal and cremation will take place on Tuesday, February 8 at 1.15 p.m., in the Chapel of St. Hilda, Teesside Crematorium. Family and friends are welcome to attend either or both services. GUTCHER On January 31 (peacefully in hospital), of Bruce Glazier Terrace, Shotton Colliery. Olive May (formerly Nicholson), aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Joseph and the late Harry Nicholson, devoted mam of Bill and Harry, a sadly missed mother-in-law of Mary and Christine, a treasured grandma of Billy, Frankie, Lynn and Harvey, also a sadly missed great-grandma of Lee, Jay, Willem, Carl, Carman and Larna. Cortege to leave residence on Monday, February 7 at 2.30 p.m., for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m.

HANCOCK (nee Roberts) January 28 (peacefully, at home). Jessie, of Yoden Court, Newton Aycliffe, beloved wife of the late Ted, loving mam, grandma and great-grandma. Will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Monday, February 7. Would friends please meet 1.30 p.m., for service at Durham Crematorium. The family have requested that no black mourning clothes are to be worn for the service.

HARLE On January 27, 2005, of Brandon Village. Patricia Margaret, aged 88 years, dearly loved wife of the late Dick and much loved mother of Charles, Richard, Robert and Peter. Funeral service at St. John's Church, Meadowfield, Durham on Friday, February 4 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private burial. Family flowers only please.

HEILBRON On February 2 (of Newton Aycliffe). Elizabeth (Beth), aged 80 years, beloved wife of the late Sid, loving mother of Brian, Terry, Kevin and Pauline, also a much loved sister, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 9 at 10.45 a.m., at Darlington Crematorium. Herbert, aged 75 years, dearly loved husband of Joyce, loving dad of Lilian, father-in-law of Paul, a much loved granda of Dean and Leanne, brother-in-law of Margaret, a dear uncle and will be sadly missed by all his friends. Would friends please meet for service in Esh Winning Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 9 at 9.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please.
