GILL Vera February 14 (peacefully), at Ridgeway House, Wingate, (late of Thornley). Vera, aged 86 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late James Robert, a much loved mam of Marian and Susan, also a loving grandma and great-grandma. Service and cremation to take place at Durham Crematorium on Monday at 2.00 p.m.

GILL February 12, peacefully at Manor Farm, Aldbrough St. John. Hilda Mary (nee Kitching), aged 93 years, dearly loved wife of the late Robert, loving mother of John and Ann, dearest mother-in-law of Gladys and Malcolm and a much loved grandma and great-grandma. Funeral Friday, February 18. Friends please meet for service in Piercebridge Methodist Chapel at 2.45 p.m., followed by interment in Stanwick Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be given for Piercebridge Chapel.

HALL Rena Suddenly, but peacefully at home on February 8. Rena, aged 79 years, of Middlesbrough. Reunited with her loving husband Harry, a dearly loved mum of Linda and mother-in-law of Denis. Funeral service to take place on Thursday February 17, at St. Hilda's Chapel Teesside Crematorium at 2.45 p.m. prior to cremation. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Those who have a mother cherish her with care for you'll never know the heartache till you see the vacant chair.

HALL February 10, peacefully in hospital, of Crook. Beatrice (nee Dixon), aged 89 years, beloved wife of the late George, devoted and much loved mother of Patricia, also dear mother-in-law to Kenneth. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 1.30 p.m. on Thursday, February 17.

HALL February 14 (peacefully at home). Thelma, aged 67 years, of Blue Bell Corner, Middridge, a dearly loved wife of Brian, also a loving sister of Maureen, Doris and Thomas. Funeral Wednesday, February 23. Would friends please meet 1.15 p.m. for service in St. Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe, followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. HIRST February 14 (peacefully), of Newton Aycliffe. Jenny, aged 69 years. Beloved wife of the late Maurice, loving mum of Michael, Graham and Andrew and mother-in-law of Donna. Also a much loved daughter of Elizabeth Gilroy, sister of Doreen, Mary and John and nana of Jade and Leah. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday February 22, 11.15 a.m. at Darlington Crematorium. Friends welcome, please meet at the crematorium.

HODGSON February 17, suddenly at Moor View, Wheatley Hill. Irene (nee Briggs), aged 76 years, beloved wife of the late Thomas William, dearly loved mother, dearest mother-in-law and a much loved granma. Cortege leaving residence Wednesday, February 23 at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet at All Saints' Church, Wheatley Hill for service at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

HODGSON On February 11, passed away after a short illness, in hospital, of Belmont, Durham. Harry, aged 69 years, beloved husband of Valerie and much loved dad of Andrew. Funeral to take place on Thursday, February 17. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation at 10.30 a.m. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Trinity Special Needs School Minibus Fund, plate provided at crematorium.

HOLMES February 9 (peacefully in hospital), of 26 Finings Avenue, Langley Park. Dorothy, aged 88 years, dearly loved wife of the late Gilbert and dear mother of Eileen and Dorothy, mother-in-law to John and devoted gran to Carolyn, Jill, Mark and Stephen. Friends please meet for service at Langley Park Baptist Chapel on Thursday, February 17 at 10.45 a.m. Cremation to follow at Durham and afterwards all welcome to Langley Park Baptist Sunday School. Catherine (Kitty), aged 82 years, dearly loved wife of the late Leslie and a dear mam of Bernard, Geoffrey and Maureen and a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved nanna and great-nanna. Would friends please meet for service at the Village Methodist Church, Ferryhill at 11.15 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16. Donations, in lieu of flowers please, to the Alzheimer's Society.

HUNTER February 13 (suddenly at home). Margaret (Maggie), aged 51 years, of Whitby Way, Darlington. Dearly loved mother to Leanne, a loving partner of Jimmy Mac, also a beloved sister and devoted aunt. Funeral Tuesday, February 22. Dearly loved husband of 54 years to Mary, devoted father to Tony, Georgina, Paul, Peter, David, Caroline and Andrew, father-in-law to Tony, Lynda, Elizabeth, Lilian and Tish, adored grandad of Jeff and Vikki, Ben and Adam, Matthew and Lindsay, Ashley and Bethany, Thomas, Paul and Garry and Vikki and dear friend to Paula. To be received into St. Joan of Arc R.C. Church, Catterick Garrison on Monday, February 21 at 5.30 p.m. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, February 22 at 10.30 a.m., followed by burial at St. Osmund's R.C.
