Freda, aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Herbert, a dear mum of Tom, Phil, Ann and Tony, mother-in-law to Judith, Lynn and Paul, also a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral Friday, February 25. Will friends please meet for service and cremation 2.45 p.m. at Darlington Crematorium. No flowers please by request. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Cancer Research.

TINDILL Elsie, aged 90 years, of St. Agatha's, Frenchgate, Richmond, died peacefully in hospital on February 11. Beloved wife of the late Stuart, dear stepmother to Howard, good friend to Jacquie and James and a treasured grandma, great-grandma and aunt. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, February 17 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Floral tributes may be sent to John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond.

TWIST February 14, in Willowburn Hospice, of Gray Avenue, Sherburn. Ena, aged 68 years, dearly loved wife of Ronnie, much loved mother of Kevin and the late Ian, grandmother of Lyndsey and daughter of Lila and the late Bob. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Monday, February 21 at 10.00 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers for Macmillan Cancer Relief may be given after the service. Friends welcome at Sherburn Village Workingmens Club afterwards.

UNDERWOOD Peacefully in hospital, on February 13. Elizabeth Ann (Libby), of West Lane, Danby, aged 101 years, dearly loved aunt of Robin and David Wilson. VESTER February 11 (peacefully in her sleep), of Oval Park, Tudhoe Village. Millicent, aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Jack and a dearly loved mother of Gordon and Linda. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium, Friday for a service and committal at 11.30 a.m.

WALKER On February 10, Jean (nee Blenkinsopp), aged 59 years, of Loughborough, formerly of Durham, Bishop Auckland and Wolsingham. Dearly loved wife of George, mother of Graeme and Andrea and sister of Enid. Also a much loved gran, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt. Service at Loughborough Crematorium on Thursday, February 17, at 2.45pm. Donations for Cancer Research UK may be sent to Charnwood Funeral Services, 45 Baxtergate, Loughborough, LE11 1TH.

WALTON February 16 (peacefully in hospital, after a short illness), of Thirsk (late of Haswell and Wingate, retired Master Builder). Archie, aged 83 years, beloved husband of the late Lorna (nee Williams), dearly loved father of Janet, dearest father-in-law of Eric and a much loved grandad of Tom and Simon. Archie retained his sense of humour until the end. Relatives and friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation on Wednesday at 10.30 a.m. No flowers by request. WATSON (nee Lapthorne) Died February 10, peacefully at The Grange Nursing Home, Bedale. Betty, aged 93 years, dear wife of the late Bill, a much loved great-great-aunt. Forever in our hearts. Funeral service to take place at Harrogate Crematorium on Friday, February 18 at 3.40 p.m. No flowers, at her request. Edward (Ned), aged 79 years, of Lansdowne Road, Coxhoe, a much loved husband of the late Molly, a dearly loved dad of Gail and Joyce, father-in-law of Tommy and Stephen, devoted grandad of Lee, Michael, Rachael, Gemma, Rosie and Jessie, a great-grandad of Lucy who will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. Would friends please meet for service in Kelloe Methodist Chapel at 2.45 p.m. on Friday, followed by cremation at Durham. All our love forever

ABBOTT February 21 (peacefully in hospital), of Todd's Court, Thirsk. Maurice, aged 76 years, beloved husband of Doreen, loving father of Susan, Yvonne and Paul, grandad to Helen, Sharon, Katie, Jennifer and James, a dear father-in-law, brother and uncle. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Tuesday, March 1 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. ALDERSON Thomas (Tom). (Formerly of Billingham) Peacefully on February 21, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Vera, much loved father of Eileen and Joan, respected father-in-law of Jim and Jim, beloved grandad of Gareth, Ruth and Matthew. ALLUM (nee Bargewell) February 21, peacefully in hospital with her family at her side. Rose May, aged 79 years, of Bowling Green Lane, Manfield. Dearly loved wife of the late Jack, most precious mum to Janet, Joan, Jean, June, Judith, Ronnie, Jeffery and the late Keith, much loved mother-in-law, treasured gran and great-gran to many, devoted sister, sister-in-law, auntie and a good friend to all.

ATKINSON February 21 (peacefully), at South Church Nursing Home, after a long illness (formerly of Bearpark). Elsie, aged 85 years. Much loved wife of the late John, dearest mother to Ian and Donald, also a dear mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cremation Monday, February 28 at Durham, following a service in The Crematorium Chapel at 3.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Many thanks for the care and attention given to Elsie by the staff at South Church Nursing Home, Bishop Auckland.

ATKINSON February 23 (peacefully, in hospital), of Durham Road, Spennymoor (formerly of Witton Park). John Edward, aged 59 years. BARKER February 23, of Burnie Gardens, Shildon. Emily (nee Brown), aged 77 years, devoted wife of the late Sydney, dearly loved mother of Vivien, Sharon and the late Pauline, also a dear mother-in-law and much loved nana and great-nana. Will friends please meet for service at 10.15 a.m. on Friday, March 4 in St. John's Church, Shildon, followed by cremation at Darlington. Sadly missed

BINKS Irene Eva, recently of Linton, Cambridge and formerly of Coatham Mundeville, died suddenly at her home, on Friday, February 11, 2005, aged 84 years. A much loved and caring auntie. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at Linton Parish Church on Monday, February 28 at 12.15 p.m., to be followed by cremation. CHAPMAN (nee Bell) Phyllis Muriel, aged 96 years, recently living at the Dunollie Nursing Home, Scarborough, was suddenly taken ill and died in Scarborough Hospital on February 16. Funeral service and cremation at Woodlands Crematorium, Scarborough on Monday, February 28 at 2.40 p.m. Floral tributes to, B. Bernard and Sons. Fun eral Directors, 1/5 Prospect Road, Scarborough.

CLARK Ronald William passed away in St. Teresa's Hospice, Darlington on Saturday, February 19, aged 75 years, after a brave fight. Beloved husband of the late Doreen, devoted father to Linda, Anita and Maxine, brother to Beryl, father-in-law to Richard and the late Brian, much loved grandfather to Gail, Wayne, John, Jazmin, Anita, Shaun and Michael and great-grandfather to Aaron, Olivia, Paris, India, Skye and Ben. A special thank you to all family and friends and especially May, Ronnie, Iris, Norman, Margaret and Davey for their love and support. Leaving daughter's residence Aylmer Grove, Newton Aycliffe for service in Holy Trinity Church, Woodland Road, Darlington on Wednesday, March 2 at 2.15 p.m., followed by private cremation.
