Colonel) Elizabeth Jackson (known as Bessie), aged 93 years, beloved wife of the late Fred, a much loved aunt of Ellen, Paul, Martin, Deirdre and Rose, also a great-aunt of many. The funeral service will take place on Thursday March 3, at 12.30 p.m. at The Salvation Army Citadel, Northgate, Darlington. Friends welcome please meet at the Citadel. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be made to, The Salvation Army, Darlington.

JACKSON (nee Graham) February 18 (peacefully in Eastbourne Care Home). Rita, aged 70 years, of Brunton Street, Darlington (formerly of Shildon). A dear sister to Bill, Fred, Marie, Edna and their families. Funeral to take place on Thursday, March 3. Would friends please meet for service at 10.45 a.m. at West Cemetery Chapel, Darlington, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.

Fantastic dad of Chris and Tony, loved by Wendy and Amanda and proud Pops of Jaz, Meg, Ella and Billy. Dearly loved husband of Sybil, much loved father of David and Dennis, father-in-law Lynn and Janet and a dear grandad of Ruth, Kate, Daniel and Jack. Michelle Ann, aged 37 years, only daughter of Sheila and Malcolm, much loved mother of Christie, Laura and Jenny, loved sister of Scott and Adrian and sister-in-law Allison, granddaughter of Charles and the late Jenny Maddison, loving friend and cousin Georgina, Peter and children, former husband Stuart and friend Melissa. Cortege for immediate family leaving parent's residence. The rest of family and friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Friday, February 25 at 10.30 a.m. Flowers from family only. KEARTON February 20 (in hospital), after a long illness. Joyce Eileen Eden (Eileen), aged 83 years, dear wife of the late Jim, much loved mother of Douglas and Ann, also dear mother-in-law of David. Sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Would friends please meet for funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Wycliffe on Monday, February 28 at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment. Donations, if desired, may be given in church to Ward 52, Darlington Memorial Hospital and to Church Funds.

KELLETT February 22, peacefully at home, in Morley, Bishop Auckland. Paul Jonathan, aged 41 years, devoted and much loved husband of Linda, beloved son of Gilbert and Rose, dearest brother to Alan, also a much loved brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Etherley at 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations for Medical Research may be left with the family or at Toft Hill Post Office. After this service, all are invited for refreshment in the Malt Shovel at Wham.

KEYSE David, aged 39 years, of Richmond. Tragically on February 19, 2005. Dearly loved son of Gwynith and Fred and a much loved brother and nephew. KNOTT Dorothy February 18, 2005. Peacefully at Coed Craig Methodist Home, Rhos on Sea, North Wales, aged 90 years, formerly of Quaker Lane, Northallerton. The beloved wife of the late Raymond Knott, dearly loved mother of Lynda and Jackie, cherished grandma of Caitlyn and Rebecca. Funeral service at Northallerton Methodist Church on Monday, February 28 at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in Northallerton Cemetery. Everloving husband of Marie, devoted father of John, Robin and Andrew, caring father-in-law of Janet and Ruth and proud grandad to Harry, Michael, Iain and Robert. LAYFIELD On February 23, of 8 West Lea, Witton Gilbert. Hannah, aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late William Henry, a much loved mother of Duncan, Ann and Susan and a much loved gran and great-gran, also a dearly loved mother-in-law. Will be sadly missed. Will friends please meet for service and committal at Durham Crematorium on Thursday, March 3 at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only, by request. LONSDALE Kenneth On February 18, of East Lea, Thornley. Kenneth, aged 75 years, a dearly beloved husband of Joyce, loving father of Dale, Kenneth and Dawn, dear father-in-law of Shirley, Peter and John and also a treasured grandfather and great-grandfather. MADDISON Elizabeth (nee Charlton), formerly from Ferryhill. A dearly loved sister of Lauretta, died peacefully in hospital after a long illness patiently borne on February 22, 2005. Ernest Edward, aged 85 years, dearly loved husband of Frances, dear father of Jeffrey, David, Susan and Trevor and a much loved father-in-law and grandad. Funeral Thursday, February 24. Beloved wife of the late Cyril, most precious mam of Barbara, dearly loved grandmother of David, a devoted sister and sister-in-law and a special neighbour and friend. NICHOLSON Michael, aged 73 years, of Blue Anchor Caravan Site, Scotch Corner, died peacefully at the Friary Hospital, Richmond on February 24. Beloved son of the late Joe and Jane Nicholson, dear brother to Towson and a dear uncle and great-uncle. PARR Walter (Wally), aged 82 years, of Alms Houses, Staindrop, died in hospital on February 18. Beloved husband of the late Edna, much loved father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. Sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral service at Staindrop Methodist Chapel at 10.30 a.m. on Friday, February 25, followed by interment in the cemetery. PICKER (Esh Winning) Peacefully, after a long illness on February 22, aged 71 years.
