MACKINTOSH On March 13, peacefully in Dryburn Park Hospital, of Sherburn House Hospital. James, aged 81 years, Alderman, ex. Chairman of Durham County Council and ex. Mayor of Durham City, beloved husband of the late Rita, loving father of Malcolm and Jeffrey, fondly remembered by daughters-in-law Carol and Pauline, sadly missed grandad Jim of Christopher, Simon, Ewan and Geordie. Fond memories held by brothers David and Ian, brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Eileen. Funeral to take place on Friday, March 18. Ada (nee Maughan), aged 72 years, beloved wife of the late Henry, devoted mam of Ann, Tommy, Joan, Mary and Henry, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved and loving nana and great-nana. Edith, aged 96 years, beloved wife of the late Ernest, devoted mother of Ernest, Godfrey, George and Nora, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved and loving gran, great-gran and great-great-gran. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 3.30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22.

Doreen, aged 77 years, much loved wife of the late Walter, dear mam of Michael and Annette, Kathleen and Billy, Paul and Mark, also a devoted nana and great-nana. Beloved wife of the late Oliver, much loved mam of Beryl, dear mother-in-law of Brian, loving grandma to Jane and granny to Roger, Ben, Gemma and Hannah.
