Dearly beloved husband of Letitia, loving dad of Karen, David and Shirley, also adored grandad of Ashley, Jason and Jamie, dear father-in-law of Kevin and dear brother of Joseph and Frank. STEWART Les, aged 79 years, of Colburn, passed away peacefully in hospital on March 17, after a long illness. Dearly loved husband of Wilma, much loved dad of Carl and Les, a dear father-in-law and loving grandad and great-grandad. A private family funeral service will be followed by a Thanksgiving Service at St. Mary's Church, Masham on Wednesday, March 23 at 12.00 noon. No flowers please. Eva, aged 96 years, beloved wife of the late Dennis, dearly loved aunt of Bernard, Maureen, Vera, Sylvia and Audrey and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral Tuesday, March 29. TATE On March 19, suddenly at home, of The Bowery, Cherry Lane, Trimdon Village. Peter Edward, aged 65 years, dearly loved husband of Carol (nee Bell), loving father of Lisa, dearest father-in-law of Gary, a much loved brother of David and a dear brother-in-law and uncle. THOMPSON Ivy, aged 98 years, peacefully in hospital on March 19, beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick), devoted mother of Jean, Joan, Billy and Cliff and a very dear mother-in-law, also a precious nana and great-nana. Friends please meet at St. Oswald's Church, Durham at 12.30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29 followed by private interment at South Road Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

VART Wendy, aged 57 years, of Melsonby, Richmond, on March 19, peacefully in hospital, after a short illness borne with great dignity. Beloved wife of the late Brian Vart and much loved mother of Richard. Funeral service at St. James' Church, Melsonby on Thursday, March 24 at 3.30 p.m. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. The retiring collection will be split between the church and local Autism activities.

VASEY March 18, formerly of Newton Hall, Durham. Sheila, aged 72 years, beloved wife of the late Charles, loving mother of Nigel, Karen and Graham, mother-in-law of Jeremy and Catherine and a dear grandma of Sam, John and Steve and sister of Nora, Maureen, Malcolm and Brenda. VASEY Witton Gilbert Suddenly but peacefully, in hospital, surrounded by all his loving family, on March 16, aged 80 years. Reuben, a beloved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather.
