BELL Irene, passed away suddenly, in hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, aged 81 years. Dearly loved wife of Austin and mother of Terry and Shirley, mother-in-law of John and Jennifer, granny of Holly, Luke, Richard and Laura. Cremation will take place at Scarborough Crematorium, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Gregory's Minster, Kirkdale on Wednesday, April 6 at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only please, but donations if desired to the Doctors Surgery, Helmsley and St. Gregory's Minster. A collection plate will be provided at the service.

BELL March 30 (suddenly, in hospital), of Newton Aycliffe. Derek, aged 71 years, beloved husband of Margaret, loving dad of Graham and the late Michael and father-in-law of Debbie, a much loved grandad of Ryan and Sam and also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 6 10.45 a.m. at Darlington Crematorium. Friends welcome, please meet at the Crematorium.

BLENKINSOPP Robert James (Bob) On March 27, peacefully in Willowdene Care Home, after a long illness. Bob, aged 79 years, formerly of Kirk Merrington, a loving husband of Olga and a much loved stepfather of John, Marilyn and Malcolm, father-in-law of Helen and Julie and a devoted grandpa and great-grandpa. Funeral service and cremation to take place at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, April 5 at 1.30 p.m. No flowers by request. Any donations, if so desired, to the Butterwick Children's Hospice, Middlefield Road, Stockton. Tel. (01642) 607742. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel.

Isabella (Belle), aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Harry, a loving mother of Alan, Joan and Anne, dearest mother-in-law of Maud, Bob and Neil, also a much loved great and great great grandmother. Will friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church on Wednesday, April 6 at 9.45 a.m., followed by private cremation at Durham.

BRASS March 31 (peacefully, in hospital), after a short illness. Nancy, aged 88 years, of Barnard Castle. Dearly loved wife of the late Fred, dear mother of Barry and John and mother-in-law to Christine, much loved grandma of Mark, Jason, Lee and Tanya and dear sister-in-law of Elsie. Sadly missed by all family and friends. Would friends please meet for funeral service at St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle on Thursday, April 7 at 9.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. BREEZE Darlington Tragically, Andrew (Andy), aged 35 years, loving husband and soulmate of Joanne, devoted dad to Emma-Jane, beloved son of Jean and the late Ellis, much loved brother of Malcolm and Christine and a loving uncle. He will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. Funeral Tuesday, April 5. Would friends kindly meet for service at Eastbourne Methodist Church at 1.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. BROWN March 27 (suddenly, but peacefully in hospital), of 40 Rydal Road, Ferryhill. Jennie, aged 76 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Alfred and Doris, also a much loved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt. Cortege leaving residence at 10.50 a.m. on Monday April 4, for service in St. Luke's Church at 11.00 a.m. followed by interment at Duncombe Cemetery.

BURNHAM March 27 (suddenly at home), of Cross Row, Hunwick. Chris, aged 67 years, a loving dad of Richard and John, also a dear brother, father-in-law, grandad and uncle. Will friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, April 6 at 1.30 p.m.

BURROWS Easington Colliery Suddenly on March 27, aged 82 years. Margaret (nee McGarry), dearly loved wife of the late Jim, loving mam of Anne, mother-in-law of Paul and gran to Jill and Adam and great-gran to Thomas and soon to be Charlie, a dear aunt and good friend. To be received into Church of Our Lady, Easington Colliery Thursday for Requiem Mass Friday 10.00 a.m., followed by interment Easington Colliery Cemetery. Friends please meet at church. On whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy. R.I.P.

CHARLESWORTH Frank, aged 87 years, of Northallerton, beloved husband of Frances and the late Irene, loving father of David and Valerie, special grandad of Craig, Liesa and Michelle. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday, April 6 at 2.15 p.m. Donations, if desired, may be given to the Alzheimer's Society. Plate provided at the service.

COLLINGWOOD Catherine (nee Beard), formerly of Shildon and Browney, Co. Durham. On March 22, aged 68 years, in Gloucester. Beloved wife of the late Bill Collingwood, a much loved mother, grand-mother, sister and aunt.

CORT Laura (Charlotte Lauretta, nee Kirby). Suddenly at home on March 25, of Church Close, Peterlee. Laura, aged 69 years. Dearly beloved wife of Harry, loving mother of Gill, Laura and Louise, dear mother-in-law of Darren and Gary and also a treasured grandma of Andrew, Christopher and Emma. Cremation Durham Crematorium on Tuesday April 5. Will friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at St. Cuthbert's Church, Peterlee at 11.10 a.m.

CRANE John George March 20, (suddenly, at home), Hundens Lane, Darlington. John George, aged 35 years. Beloved partner of Lisa, loving dad of Kayleigh and Karla, dearest brother of Michelle, brother-in-law of Kevin, much loved uncle of Antoni, Chantelle, George and Romaine, son of the late Kay, eldest grandson of Vera and the late George. Funeral Monday, April 4. Friends please meet for service in St. James' Church, Albert Hill at 12.30 p.m. followed by interment at West Cemetery.

DANIEL March 25, peacefully, in hospital, of Grange Cottage, Thrintoft. James, aged 73 years, dearly loved husband of Mollie, loving father of John, Jimmy and Raymond, father-in-law of Theresa, Mary and Barbara and dearest grandad to his seven grandchildren. Funeral service to be held in St. Helen's Church, Ainderby Steeple 11.00 a.m. Friday, April 1, followed by interment. Family flowers only. Dora (nee Sill), aged 89 years, beloved wife of the late Thomas, a dearly loved aunt, sister-in-law and grandma to Andrew. Cortege leaving niece's residence Blue-stones, Station Road, Ferryhill Monday for a service in Trinity Methodist Church, Rosa Street, Spennymoor at 10.45 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for Requiem Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Horden at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, interment following at Horden Cemetery. Marjorie Joan (Betty), aged 77 years, peacefully in hospital (late of Scorton), dearly beloved mother of Pat, Michael and David, much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral service to be held on Friday, April 1 at 11.00 a.m. at the Methodist Church, Scorton. The family wish to thank the staff of the Rutson and Friarage Hospitals for their care and attention.

FENWICK March 26 (peacefully, in hospital), of Easington. Ella, aged 79 years, dear wife of the late Robert (Bobby) Fenwick and devoted mam of Dorothy and Ian, Eleanor and Les, Lilian and Ref, Shirley and Jake and Janet and Gary, a much loved nana and great-nana. Mam will be affectionately missed by all her family. Friends kindly meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation on Monday, April 4 at 3.00 p.m. Family flowers only. Muriel Verna, aged 79 years, dearly loved wife of the late Gilbert, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Auriel and Allan, Keith and fiancée Carole and a cherished grandma of Helen, Rachael, Diane and Nicola. Friends please meet for service at Middleton Methodist Church on Friday, April 1 at 1.00 p.m., to be followed by interment at St. Mary's Churchyard. Family flowers only. GILBERT On March 30, peacefully at home, of Newton Hall, late of Claypath. Lucia (nee Dimambro), aged 84 years, dear wife of the late Alec, much loved mother of Paul. Dearly loved wife of the late William, beloved mother of Andrew and mother-in-law of Hiedi, adored nana of Jade, Faith and William, also a much loved sister of Margaret, Barbara, Les, Fred, Sheila, John and the late Maureen, a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, April 7 at St. Matthew's Church, Brinkburn Road, Darlington at 12.30 p.m., prior to cremation at Darlington Crema-torium. GORDON March 25 (peacefully, at Defoe Court Care Home), of Swan Walk, Newton Aycliffe. Athol, aged 75 years, dear brother of Ronald. Funeral Wednesday, April 6. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Monday, April 4 at 10.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel and afterwards at The Wheatsheaf, Staindrop. Family flowers only please.
