Funeral service to take place in Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday, April 5 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in West Cemetery. George, aged 80 years, beloved husband of Kathleen, dearly loved dad of Kevin, Michael, Christine and Martin, father-in-law of Audrey, Brenda, Les and Jackie and a much loved grandad of Claire, Steven, Sarah, Daniel, Amy and Francesca. NENDICK Patricia (Pat), aged 74 years, of Richmond House, Richmond, formerly of Constantine Avenue, Colburn, died peacefully in hospital, on March 28. Beloved wife of the late Jack and a much loved mum, grandma and great-grandma. Funeral service at St. John's Church, Hipswell on Friday, April 1 at 4.00 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Emma Jane, (nee Bayles), aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Joe, loving partner of Bill, much loved mother of Chris-tine, Albert and Jo. Funeral Thursday, April 7. Will friends please meet for service 2.15 p.m. at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the British Heart Foundation.

NIVEN March 23 (peacefully), of Shildon. Pearl (nee Petty), aged 84 years. Loving mam of Pat, dear mother-in-law of Nick, dearly loved nan of Maxine, John and Paul, also a much loved great-gran and aunty. Joseph, aged 85 years, beloved husband of the late Iris, dearly loved father of Jean and Brian, dearest father-in-law of Margaret and a much loved grandad of Claire and Sarah, also a dear brother. Cortege leaving son's residence Tuesday at 10.35 a.m. Friends please meet at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village for service at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

OVERTON Harold, of Shildon, aged 88 years, died peacefully in hospital on March 23. Re-united with his beloved wife Jean, a very dear and proud dad of Marilyn, David and Derek, a much loved and respected father-in-law, a devoted and precious granda and a loving brother. A funeral service is to be held in Durham Crematorium on Friday, April 1 at 3.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the Crema-torium. Afterwards all are welcome to join the family at the B.R. Cricket Club in Shildon. Harold will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. He was a true gentleman.

PARKER March 19 (in hospital), of Archdeacon Crescent, Darlington. Annie (Nan), in her 99th year, dearly loved mam and best friend of Harry, loved very much by Sheila. Her funeral service took place at Darlington Crematorium yesterday.

PHILLIPS March 29 (peacefully, at home), of Simpson Avenue, St. Helens, Bishop Auckland. Marjorie (nee Hodgson), aged 88 years, a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma, also a dear sister and aunt. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, April 6 at 12.00 noon.

PITMAN On March 26 (in hospital), of Harmby House, Harmby. Major Thomas Islay MC, aged 90 years, a beloved husband, father and grandfather. A private family funeral service will be followed by a Thanksgiving Service at St. Gregory's Church, Bedale on Friday, April 8 at 2.30 p.m. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to be shared between the British Heart Foundation, SSAFA and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton (plate in church). Friends please meet at the church.

RAITT March 25 (peacefully in hospital), formerly of Spennymoor. Ada (nee Parkin), aged 90 years, a beloved wife of the late Thomas, a dearly loved mother of Derek. Funeral Monday, April 4. Will friends please meet at 11.15 a.m., for service in St. Andrew's Church, Spennymoor followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

Philip, aged 80 years, dearly loved husband of Mary, loving father of Evelyn, a dear uncle and great-uncle, brother of Don, brother-in-law of Millie and brother of the late Gordon. Will friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland at 1.30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, followed by interment in Bishop Auckland Town Cemetery.

ROWLEY March 28 (peacefully in hospital), of Broom Road, Ferryhill. Ronald, aged 79 years, a dearly loved husband of Margaret (Pearl), much loved dad and grandad. SHOTTON March 26 (peacefully in hospital), of Weardale Street, Spennymoor (formerly of Crossgate Moor). Lilian Maud (Lilly, nee Bone), aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Sid, a dearly loved mam of Rowland, a loving mother-in-law of Ann, a much loved grandma of Andrea and David and adored great-grandma of Rachel. Would friends please meet in Trinity Methodist Church, Rosa Street, Spennymoor, Friday, for a service at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment in York Hill Cemetery.

SIMPKIN Michael George, beloved husband of Ann (of Thornton-le-Moor). Died on Sunday, March 20, 2005, after a debilitating illness. Funeral service and cremation to be held in West Cemetery, Darlington on Thursday, March 31 at 1.15 p.m. Flowers, or donations may be given for Cancer Care U.K. and St. Andrew's Church, South Otterington.

SMITH Crescent Close, Sherburn Village. Leslie, aged 75 years, on March 17, peacefully, in hospital, also his beloved wife Jane, aged 73 years, on March 24, peacefully in Belmont Grange Nursing Home. Dearly loved father and mother of Wilfred, James and David, a dear father-in-law and mother-in-law, also a devoted grandad, grandma and great-grandparents. Leslie and Jane will be sadly missed by all their family and friends. Friends please meet for service Parkinson Memorial Methodist Chapel, Sherburn Village on Friday, April 1 at 10.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please.
