GIBBON Alfred On June 30, peacefully in hospital. Alf, aged 87 years, of Sedgefield, father of Alan and Robert, father-in-law of Franca and Christine, grandad of Deborah, Paul and Steven and great-grandad of Amelia. Sadly missed. Funeral service to take place in St. Edmund's Church, Sedgefield on Thursday, July 7 at 10.30 a.m., prior to interment in Sedgefield Cemetery. Friends please meet at church. Mary (nee Bradley), aged 86 years, loving wife of the late Frederick, dearly loved mother of Denis and Kathleen, dearest mother-in-law of Enid and Norman, also a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium Chapel on Friday, July 8 at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation.

Will friends please meet for service in Howden-le-Wear Methodist Church at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, followed by interment in Howden-le-Wear Cemetery.

HANLEY June 28 (peacefully, in hospital) George Richard (Paddy), aged 73 years, beloved partner of Elsie, loving dad of June, Glenys, father-in-law of Robert, devoted grandad of Kelly, Donna, Liam, great-grandad of Morgan and special friend of Alison, Graham and Gary. Friends please meet for service at St. Helen's Church, Kelloe on Thursday, July 7 at 1.30 p.m., followed by interment in Trimdon Grange Cemetery. All welcome afterwards at Kelloe W.M.C.

HARRIS July 2 (peacefully in his sleep, in hospital) Clifford, aged 87 years dearly loved father of Stephen and the late Beryl Thompson, dearly loved father-in-law of Mary and Brian, dearest grandfather to Sandra, Helen and Craig, also a much loved great-grandfather of Danielle, Shaunna, Jamie-Lee, Jake, Robbie-Lee, Alicia and Faith and a special friend to Harry. HARRISON William (Bill), aged 82 years, of Rosedale Nursing Home, Catterick Garrison, formerly of Richmond, died peacefully in hospital on June 30. Dearly loved husband of Gwen, much loved dad of Elaine, Julian, Fiona and Dawn and a dear father-in-law and loving grandad. Funeral service at St. Michael and All Angels' Church, Hudswell on Friday, July 8 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Relatives and friends please meet at the church. HILKEN Clive Geoffrey, one of 'the few', of Richmond, North Yorkshire, died peacefully at Richmond House on Thursday, June 30, 2005, aged 85 years. Devoted and beloved husband of Nesta, much loved father of Vanessa and Deborah, loving grandfather to Matthew, Joseph and Trevor. Spitfire pilot in the Battle of Britain, Headmaster at R.A.F. Geilenkirchen, Germany and Le Cateau Junior School, Catterick Camp. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, July 7 at 10.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. HODGSON June 29, tragically as the result of an accident, of Ferryhill. Yvonne (nee Hassan), aged 48 years, beloved wife of Martin, devoted mother of Michael and Nicola, mother-in-law to Lee, much loved grandmother of Gabrielle and Monique and also a dear sister. Funeral Tuesday, July 12. Would friends please meet at 11.15 a.m. for service at All Saints' R.C. Church, followed by cremation at Durham.

HOPPER July 4, of Bishop Auckland. Sid, aged 66 years, beloved husband of Marie, a dear father, stepfather, grandad, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. A service will be held in Durham Crematorium at 1.00 p.m. on Friday, July 8.

Wally, aged 82 years, dear husband of the late Jean, loving dad of Lyn and the late Bill, father-in-law to Peter, grandfather to Victoria, David and Caroline, Helen, Nicola and Graham and great-grandfather to Baby Olivia.
