ROTHWELL July 7 (suddenly, at home), of Babbacombe Drive, Ferryhill. James Arthur, aged 69 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Lydia, devoted dad of Dean, Jay and Penny, a loving father-in-law and adored grandad and great-grandad. Cortege leaving residence at 12.35 p.m. on Wednesday July 13, for service at 12.45 p.m. in Village Methodist Chapel, prior to cremation at Durham.

RUSSELL Norman, aged 65 years, of Catkins, Hudswell Lane, Richmond, died peacefully in hospital on June 28, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of Cath, much loved dad of Norma, dear father-in-law of John, a treasured and devoted grandad of Connor, Ronan and Niall and a dear brother of Bill, Yvonne and Audrey. Funeral service in St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Thursday, July 7 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. Funeral Friday, July 8. Would friends please meet 10.00 a.m. for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, followed by cremation at Darlington. Family flowers only please. Funeral service to be held on Friday, July 15 at 11.30 a.m. in St. Hilda's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium. Would friends kindly meet at the Crematorium.

Edith Annie, aged 93 years, beloved wife of the late Albert, devoted mam of Joyce, Anne and John, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved and loving grandma and great-grandma. Cortege to leave her daughter's residence in Bishop Auckland at 3.00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7 for service in Durham Crematorium at 3.30 p.m. Will friends please meet at the crematorium. Elizabeth (Betty), aged 75 years, beloved wife of the late Thomas, devoted mam of Anne, Lynne and Karen, dear mother-in-law to Bob, Keith and Dave, a much loved and loving nana and great-nan, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Crook at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, followed by interment in the churchyard. R.I.P.

Beloved wife of the late Jack, a dearly loved mother of Jack and Ann, a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Funeral to take place on Thursday July 14. Would friends please meet for service at 1.15 p.m. at Ferryhill Methodist Chapel followed by cremation at Durham.

TODD July 5 (suddenly), of Thirsk. Jack, aged 87 years. Brother of the late Betty Hutchinson and Vera Kirkpatrick, a dear uncle. Would friends please meet for service at St. Mary's Church, Thursday July 14 at 11.30 a.m. followed by private cremation.

Gordon, aged 77 years, beloved husband of Marjorie, devoted dad of Andrew and Paul, dear father-in-law to Lynne and Caroline, a much loved and loving grandad of Aidan, Alison and Benedict, also a dear brother to Olive. Will friends please meet for service in Crook Methodist Chapel at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, July 11, followed by interment in Crook Cemetery.

VITTY Minnie June 22, aged 85 years, (peacefully, in hospital), of Whiteley Village, Surrey, (formerly of Millfield Avenue, Northallerton). Beloved wife of the late Cyril (of Vitty Cycles) and loving mother of Graham, mother-in-law to Chris, also a dearly loved nanna to Carl and Mark and great-nanna to Zach and Imogen. Beloved wife of the late Gibson (Gib) Welsh, much loved mother of Audrey, Alan and Julia, mother-in-law to the late Avril, loving nana of Christopher, Stephen, Helen and Joanne, great-nana to Amy, Brogan, Bryony, Finley and Hannah and a dear sister-in-law and aunt.
