Joyce, aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of the late Robert Leslie, loving mother of Leslie and Kenneth, dear mother-in-law to Pamela and Barbara, much loved grandma of Christopher, Daniel, Sarah and Anna and great-grandma to Sophie and Dominic. Will friends please meet for service in St. Thomas' Church, Stanley at 12.10 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. KEEN Robert (Bob) former employee of Mono Containers, Durham on July 18, peacefully, in hospital, aged 67 years, late of North Road East, Wingate. Beloved son of the late Lily and Ronnie and a dear brother of Mary and Bill. Service to take place at Holy Trinity Church, Wingate on Thursday at 1.20 p.m. prior to cremation at Hartlepool Crematorium. All friends are kindly invited, please meet at the church. KIRKUP July 18, after a short illness. Mary Hannah (nee Rudkin), aged 91 years, of Crook, loving wife of the late George, beloved sister to Jean and the late Mabel and Harry, also a very dear aunt. A private family service will be held in Durham Crematorium on Monday, July 25. A service of thanksgiving for all family and friends will be held in Crook Methodist Chapel at 12.00 noon on Monday, July 25, followed by refreshments in the chapel hall. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may, if desired, be given for Chapel Funds.

LAYTON July 14, peacefully, at St. Margaret's Care Home, Durham (late of Darlington and Redcar). Winifred Mary (nee Hodgson), aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Harry (Jack), dearly loved mam of Christine and Derek, dear mother-in-law and a much loved nana and great-nana. MAYHEW July 16, peacefully in hospital, of West Cornforth. Walter, aged 77 years, beloved husband of the late Edith, a loving father of Yvonne, a father-in-law of Ian, a much loved grandfather of Nichola and Gemma, a great-grandfather to Jessica, also a dear brother of Lawrence and brother-in-law of Mary. Funeral Friday, July 22. Will friends please meet at 9.15 a.m. for service in Holy Trinity Church, followed by cremation at Durham. All are welcome for refreshments at Coxhoe Working Men's Club.

McRAE July 17, peacefully after a long illness bravely fought, of Darlington. Mary Elsie (nee Thomason), beloved wife of Hugh, dearly loved mum of Joanne and Alistair and loving grandma of Duncan, Caitlin, Christopher, Grace and Thomas. Funeral Friday, July 22. Dearly loved wife of Arthur, much loved mother of Geof and Christine and mother-in-law of Sue, a devoted gran to Caroline, Georgina, Nathan and Miles and a great-gran to Thomas. A service of thanksgiving will be held at St. Gregory's Church, Bedale on Wednesday, July 27 at 3.00 p.m. Donations, if desired, will be given to the Friends of the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.

STELLING July 17, of High Etherley and formerly East Park. John (Jacky), aged 76 years, eldest son of the late Arthur and Hilda, a dearly loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle, also a good friend. Will friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Etherley at 12.00 noon on Monday, July 25, followed by cremation at Durham.
