Much loved mum of David, Richard, Robert, Edward and Fiona and a dear mother-in-law, loving grandma and sister to Patrick. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Friday, July 29 at 11.30 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please. If desired, donations for the Alzheimer's Society may be sent care of John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 4AJ.

BEST July 25 (tragically after an accident), of Manfield. George, aged 82 years, beloved husband of the late Olga, much loved dad of Carole and Gillian, devoted grandad of Marcus George, also a dearly loved brother. Funeral Tuesday, August 2. Monica, aged 92 years, beloved wife of the late Joseph, a dear mother of Peter, James, Anne and John, also a much loved grandma and great-grandma. Would friends please meet for Requiem Mass at St. Joseph's R.C. Church on Tuesday, August 2 at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment at South Road Cemetery. Flowers to Chapel of Rest, Co-operative Funeral Service, 98 Gilesgate or donations to Alzheimer's Society.

BURNHAM July 24 (peacefully, at home, in Newton Aycliffe), formerly of Quarrington Hill. Jim, aged 68 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Rose and loving partner of Betty McFarlane, a much loved dad of Jim, Marie and Michael and father-in-law of Ruth and Mason, a dear brother of Jean and the late Harry and Grace and also a special grandad to Rebecca, Andrew, Luke and Drew. The funeral service will take place on Thursday July 28, 2.45 p.m. at St. Helen's Church, Kelloe, prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Friends welcome, please meet at the church. Bill (Charlie), aged 84 years, of Bede Crescent, Newton Aycliffe, much loved husband of the late Una, loving dad of Jean and John, a dearly loved brother of Lily, Maisie and the late Amy, also a devoted friend of Vi. Funeral Friday, July 29. Would friends please meet 12.45 p.m. for service at Neville Parade Methodist Church, Newton Aycliffe, followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Donations, if so desired, to Parkinson's Disease.

BURTON On July 24, peacefully at Rosedale Retirement Home, Catterick Garrison and formerly of Colstan Road, Northallerton and Reeth. Kathleen (nee Blenkiron), aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late Handley, dear mother of Bill and Trish, mother-in-law of Mavis and Chris, dearly loved by grandchildren Paul, Jane, Kate and Rose and proud great-grandma of Rosa. A private family cremation service will be held at Darlington, however, a Thanksgiving Service for Kathleen's life will be held at Northallerton Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 2 at 3.00 p.m., to which all are very welcome. No flowers please, but donations in memory of Kathleen, if so desired, may be given at the service for Martin House Hospice, Boston Spa.

CROSSON July 27, of Bishop Auckland, formerly of Newfield. Barry, aged 61 years, beloved son of the late Ciss and Fred, also a dear cousin. Will family and friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 12.00 noon on Wednesday, August 3.

CUNNINGHAM July 24, of Bishop Auckland. Jessie Hutton (nee Tervit), aged 87 years, beloved wife of Chris and dearest sister of Jean. Will friends please meet for service in St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, July 29, followed by interment in Bishop Auckland Town Cemetery.

DAVISON On July 25, peacefully in hospital, of Glebeside, Satley. Thomas, aged 78 years, beloved husband of the late Margaret, loving father of Sandra and Ann and a dear father-in-law, granda and great-granda. Friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Satley on Saturday, July 30 at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends welcome for refreshments in the church hall afterwards.

DAWSON Nancy, aged 70 years, of Linton Rise, Catterick Garrison, died suddenly at home on July 28. Dearly loved wife of Ken, much loved mum of Janice, Garry and Karen, dear mother-in-law to Frank, Julie and Ian and a loving grandma/nana and great-grandma. Funeral service at St. John's Church, Hipswell on Wednesday, August 3 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please. Mona (nee Roberts), aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Tommy, dearly loved mother of Thomas and Christine, dearest mother-in-law of Glennis and John and a much loved nana of Alison, John, Michael, Lisa and Richard and a devoted nana Mona of Adam, Elliot, Jacob and Harry. Cortege leaving residence Thursday at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet at St. Alban's Church, Trimdon Grange for service at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. DENT July 22, peacefully at home, after a long illness borne with great courage, retired, Raby Home Farm. John George, aged 75 years, devoted husband and best friend of Dorothy Mary (Dale), special father to Melvyn and Karen, much loved grandad to Mark and a dear brother and uncle. Cremation private. A service of thanksgiving will be held at St. Mary's Church, Staindrop on Saturday, July 30 at 11.00 a.m. Friends please meet at the church. DIXON (nee Parsley) July 27, (peacefully, in hospital). Doris of Henderson Street, Darlington, (formerly of Shildon). A treasured wife of Ian and an irreplaceable mother of Janet, Elsie and the late Raymond, also a loving mother-in-law, nana and great-nana. Funeral to take place on Monday August 8. Would family and friends please meet for service at 1.15 p.m. St. Columbas Church, Darlington, followed by interment at West Cemetery.

DOBBIN July 25, suddenly at home, in Bishop Auckland. Paul, aged 54 years, a dearly loved dad and granda. Will friends please meet for service in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Bishop Auckland at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, followed by cremation at Durham.

DODD Glen Dodd, 10 Acorn Place, Brandon. Grieved to hear of the tragic loss of such a sainted Christian who brought delight to all he met and was indeed a lover of souls. He brought healing to people of other faiths and will be a great loss to this world. Our Lord took him to himself and he suffered a fatal heart attack on Monday July 25, 2005. He died doing God's work bringing hope to Muslim Refugees in the name of Christ. May light perpetual shine on him. Reverend Francis, Community of the Transfiguration. Funeral details later.

EDMUNDS Rickleton July 15 (peacefully). Robert, aged 78 years, much loved father of Lorraine and Steven, dearest grandad of Jack and Georgia, dear brother of Tommy and the late Alice. Friends please meet at St. George's Church, Fatfield at 1.15 p.m. on Monday, August 1 for service, prior to cremation at Birtley Crema-torium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Andrew Smith Unit, Dunston Hill Hospital, Gateshead.

EDWARDS July 24, of Bishop Auckland, formerly of Howden-le-Wear. Dennis, aged 78 years, beloved husband of Lenora, a much loved and loving dad, father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad, also a dear brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Bishop Auckland Methodist Church at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, followed by cremation at Durham.

FEARN July 19 (peacefully in hospital), formerly of Park Vale Road, Middlesbrough. Miss Nora, in her 90th year, loving sister of the late Myra Graham, dearly loved auntie of Eileen and Ian, much loved great-auntie of Fiona and Alison. Funeral Saturday. Would friends please meet for service in the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Middlesbrough at 9.30 a.m., followed by cremation at Teesside Crematorium. Flowers may be sent to the church, alternatively, donations for church funds.

FENWICK July 23 (peacefully at home), of Witton Road, Ferryhill. Sandra (nee Carradus), aged 60 years, much loved wife of Trevor, a dear mam of Linda and Tracey and a devoted nan, dearest daughter of Kitty and the late Ted and brother of Tom. Would friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church at 10.45 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Breast Cancer.

FILBY On July 22, 2005, whilst staying at Goostrey, Cheshire. Alice, of Woodvale Road, Darlington, beloved wife of the late William George, much loved mother of Jean and dear mother-in-law of Douglass and loving grandma of Andrew, Stephen and Suzanne. Funeral Monday, August 1. Friends please meet for service in Northgate United Reformed Church at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only. GASKILL July 26, suddenly at home, in Tow Law. Madge, aged 70 years, beloved wife of the late Robert, devoted mam of Linda, Maureen, Pauline and George, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved and loving nana. Will friends please meet for service in St. Philip and St. James' Church, Tow Law at 1.00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, followed by cremation at Durham.

GREAVES Colin Arthur, born October 15, 1964, a treasured son and brother tragically taken from us in Australia and will be sadly missed. Memorial Service to be held at 11.00 a.m on Friday, August 5 at Bridge End Methodist Chapel, Frosterley. All welcome.

HAMILTON Audrey Peacefully in hospital on July 27. Audrey, aged 68 years, dearly beloved wife of the late George Alexander, dearly loved mam of Paul and the late Elizabeth, mother-in-law of Mari and treasured grandma of Katrina, Liam and Damon. Cortege to leave her residence on Tuesday for service in Seaton Carew Methodist Chapel at 3.20 p.m., prior to cremation at Stranton Grange Crematorium. Friends and neighbours are kindly invited, please meet at the chapel. Loved and remembered always.
