A great loss after an illness courageously fought. Funeral service at St. Matthew's Church, Leyburn on Saturday, August 6 at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for Breast Cancer.

VICKERS July 31, (after a long illness courageously borne), of Front Street, Helmington Row. Julia (nee Bond), aged 62 years. Dearly loved mother of Judith and Caroline, dear mother-in-law of Stephen and John, devoted grandma of Daniel, Neesha, Grace, Megan and Molly, also a loving and much loved sister and sister-in-law. Friends please meet for service at St. Stephen's Church, Willington on Thursday August 4, at 10.30 a.m. followed by private interment in Crook Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Lily, aged 81 years, dearly loved wife of the late John, a much loved mam of David and Jill, a very dear mother-in-law of Audrey and Tony, a devoted nana of Julie, Alison and Philip and great-nana of Sophie and Chloe, also a dear aunt and friend. Would friends please meet at St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor on Thursday at 2.45 p.m. for a service followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Devoted wife of the late George, dearest mother of Pat and mother-in-law of the late Gordon, much loved nana of Sue, Gary and Jack and the late Philip. Funeral Thursday, August 4. Cortege to leave daughter's residence. BOSTON Richard Duncan (Richie), aged 36 years, of Catterick Village, died tragically on August 3, as the result of an accident. Very dearly loved son of Richard and Ena, devoted partner of Debbie, loving brother of Fiona and Katrina and special uncle to Hannah and Luke. A service of thanksgiving and celebration for Richard's life will take place at St. Anne's Church, Catterick Village on Friday, August 12 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. BOWES Donald Don, aged 76 years, passed away at home in the presence of his loving family, after a long illness, on August 6, of Harrison Close, Shildon. Dearly loved brother, uncle, great-uncle, a dear friend of Lily and her family and great friend to many others, he will be sadly missed. Funeral Monday, August 15. Maureen (nee Skelton), aged 69 years, beloved wife of Fred, dearly loved mam of Billy, Janet and Ian, dearest mother-in-law of Christine, Dawn and David and a much loved nana of Vicki, Samantha, Chloe, Jake, Niall and Sean. CHICKEN Roger, formerly of Sidegate, Durham died August 2, in Austria. Sadly missed.
