CATON August 9, of Darlington, formerly of Tow Law. Muriel, aged 80 years, beloved wife of Les, dearly loved mother of Maxine, Barrie and Ann and a much loved mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma. Funeral arrangements later.

CHAYTOR Marie Demcia On August 11, peacefully in hospital, Marie, aged 79 years, of Bowburn, formerly of Fishburn. Wife of the late Harry, mother of Marie, Pauline (deceased), Anne (deceased), Joe, Alex, Pamela and John, mother-in-law, nanna and great-nanna. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 17 at St. Alban's Church, Trimdon Grange at 10.00 a.m., prior to interment at Trimdon Grange Cemetery.

Elizabeth (Bessie, nee Elliott), aged 88 years, dearly loved partner of the late John, loving mother of Fred, Priscilla and Peter and a much loved grandma and great-grandma. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium on Thursday, August 18 at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Weardale Community Hospital, plate in crematorium.

DENNIS Died August 14, peacefully in hospital. Kenneth (Ken), aged 75 years, of Dalton, Thirsk. Dearly loved husband of Freda, dear dad of Valerie and Kevin and father-in-law of Dave and Ann, also a much loved grandad to Jessie and Julia. Funeral service at St. John's Church, Dalton on Friday, August 19 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Harrogate. At Ken's request, please wear bright clothes. Family flowers only. DENT August 17, of Bishop Auckland. Elsie (nee Conley), beloved wife of the late Robert, devoted mother of Robert Anthony, also a much loved and loving sister, sister-in-law and aunt. DOWSON August 11 (suddenly at home), of Sutton Road, Thirsk. James (Pash), aged 68 years, a dear father, grandad and brother. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Thursday, August 18 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment. Would friends please meet at the church.

EDEN Died August 17, 2005, peacefully at home, in Aiskew. Angela, aged 71 years, dearly beloved wife of Reg, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Yvonne, John and the late Martin, also a devoted grandma of Ashleigh and Heather. Funeral service to be held at Wycar Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 24 at 2.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only. ELLIOTT August 15 (suddenly at home), of Forest-in-Teesdale. William Donald, aged 74 years, dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, much loved father of John Ward and a dear brother of Iris. John, aged 58 years, devoted partner of Evelyn, loving dad of Tina and John, a dear stepdad, loving granda (Big John), also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, Bishop Auckland at 1.30 p.m. on Thursday, August 18. I knew one day that we had to part, but you went too soon and broke my heart. All my love, Eve.

Teresa, aged 84 years, beloved wife of the late Wilf, dearly loved mam of Peter, Winifred, Patricia, Michael, Kevin, Wilf and Edward, also a dear loving mother-in-law, nana and great-grandma. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass at St. Cuthbert's Catholic Church, Crook on Monday, August 22 at 11.00 a.m., prior to interment in the churchyard. On her soul sweet Jesus and Mary have mercy.

Loving wife of the late David and much loved mother of Peter, Kathryn and Moira, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Will be very sadly missed. Would friends please meet at Byers Green Methodist Chapel on Wednesday at 10.10 a.m. for a service, followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.
