LEDGER August 18, suddenly, of 6 Beech Crescent, Ferryhill. Ruby, aged 82 years, dearly loved cousin of Joyce and Bob (Carter) and family and good friend to many. Cortege leaving residence at 10.35 a.m. on Thursday, August 25 for service in St. Luke's Church at 10.45 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.

LUKE August 18 (suddenly, at home). Edward, aged 83 years. Devoted husband of the late Nancy, a loving father of Eddy and a much loved granda of Craig, Gavin and Brendan. His bravery, strength and determination always shone through giving selflessly and making others happy was number one priority, loved and enjoyed his horses and greyhounds, never to be forgotten by everybody whose lives he touched. Friends please meet for service on Wednesday August 24, at 2.00 p.m. at Durham Crematorium. Mini bus provided from Quarrington Hill W.M.C. to follow cortege at 1.35 p.m.

MACLEAN Margaret of Norfolk, (formerly of Durham). Suddenly passed away August 22. Beloved wife of the late Keith, dearly loved mother of Christine and son-in-law Martin.

MARKSBY August 25 (peacefully, in hospital). Winifred Mary, aged 85 years, of Model Place, Darlington, a dearly loved wife of the late John, also a much loved mam, nanna and great-nanna. Will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Thursday, September 1. Would friends please meet 12.45 p.m. for service in St. Mary's Church, Darlington prior to private interment in the West Cemetery.

MARSHALL August 25 (suddenly), of Salutation Road, Darlington. T. Alan, aged 73 years, loved husband of Audrey, dearly loved father of Ian, dear father-in-law of Sue and loving grandad of Paul. Doris Annie, in her 90th year, dearly loved wife of the late Alfred, loving and cherished mother of Joan, much loved grandma of Tabitha, Anya, Francesca and Natasha and great-grandma of Anna, Isabella, Fred, Aidan, Alexander, Matthew, Joseph and Edward. O'CONNOR August 22 (peacefully, in hospital). Jennifer Ann, aged 53 years, of Gilling Crescent, Darlington, a dearly loved wife of Mick, loving and devoted mam of Gary, Tracy, Jane, Kim and Donna, also a treasured nanny, sister and mother-in-law. Funeral Wednesday, August 31. Would friends please meet 1.15 p.m. for service at Darlington Crema-torium.

PEARSON Anne (nee Wilkinson), aged 74 years, of Hackforth, died peacefully in hospital on August 20. Dearly loved wife of the late John Pearson, much loved mum of Sally, Sue, Jenny and Richard, a dear mother-in-law, very much loved gran, loved sister of Fabian and sister-in-law to Ena and Jim. Mary (nee Halpen), aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late George, a much loved mam of Leonard and Marie, and a loving grandma and great-grandma to all the family.
