RAILTON Alan Arthur (Captain), of Moor Lea, Barningham, died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 28, aged 75 years, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of Doreen, proud father of Jillianne and Paul, father-in-law of Laurence and Deborah and loving grandfather to Anna, Ella, Jessica, Toby and Peter. Funeral service in St. Michael and All Angels' Church, Barningham on Monday, September 5 at 2.30 p.m. Donations, if desired, may be given for Cancer Research UK.

REVIS Died August 25, peacefully in hospital, of Bedale, formerly of Morley. Mary, aged 79 years, beloved wife of the late Ted, a much loved mother and mother-in-law of Martin and Henrietta, also a dear grandma of Steven, Chris and partners. Funeral service to be held at Cottingley Crematorium, Leeds on Friday, September 2 at 11.40 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for the Friends of the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.

James Alexander, aged 31 years, dearly loved husband of Lucy and dearest daddy to Joshua James and Louis Benjamin, loving son of Dawn and Geoffrey and dear brother to Julie, Neal and Giles. Funeral service to be held in Holy Cross Church, Swainby 11.00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, prior to cremation. Flowers or donations, if wished, may be given for Cancer Care U.K. We are all devastated by his passing.

Wyn, aged 67 years, dearly loved wife of the late Herbert Derek, very dear mam of Wendy, Suzanne, Lesley and the late Stephen, a much loved mother-in-law and loving nanna of James, Matthew and Aaron. Funeral service to be held at St. Anne's Church, Catterick Village on Tuesday, September 6 at 11.30 a.m., followed by private interment at Catterick Cemetery. Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Wyn, if so desired, may be given at the service for the British Heart Foundation. Harry, aged 75 years, dearly loved husband of Marjorie, loving father of Carole and Edward, dearest brother of Margaret and brother-in-law of Freda, deeply missed uncle and great-uncle. SEMPLE August 28, 2005 (suddenly, after a long illness), of Fernlea Court, Darlington. Gavin, aged 73 years. Sadly missed husband of Jean, a loving dad of Stuart, Fraser, Ian, Gavin and Hilary, devoted grandad and father-in-law, cherished brother of Ella. Funeral Wednesday, September 7. Would friends please meet 1.15 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.

SHUTT Ian (ex Licensee) died at home in Mollina, Spain on June 16. Sadly missed by all his family.

Beloved husband of the late Ida, a dearly loved dad, father-in-law, granda and great-granda and a dear brother and uncle. SMITH Dorothy (nee Hunter) On August 31, of John Wilson Court, Horden. Dorothy, aged 74 years. Dearly beloved wife of Joseph, loving mother of Mavis, Valerie, Ray, David and Denise, dear mother-in-law of Frank and Susan, also a cherished nanna and great-nanna. Interment Peterlee Cemetery, Eden Lane on Monday September 5. We've lost a good and loving person, our hearts are breaking and you are the reason, your heart was so big that we did not thirst even though that big heart burst. You left us too quick, our whole bodies are in pain, we feel abandoned, but you're not to blame, but in time we all know you'll be there waiting to guide us through to rid all our pain, you, with open arms will arrive on cue. We love and miss you. xx.

STONEBRIDGE (nee Attle) August 25 (peacefully, at home). Lilian, aged 81 years, of Newton Aycliffe, beloved wife of the late Alfred. Lilian will be sadly missed by all family and friends. STONLEY Bob Of Bedworth. (late of Spennymoor). Loving husband of Irene (nee Bostock). passed away August 25, 2005. Will always be remembered by his family in the North East.

SUNLEY Kathleen Winifred (Winnie), died peacefully on Saturday, August 27. Funeral service to be held at All Saints' Church, Northallerton on Friday, September 2 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment. Clara, aged 96 years, beloved wife of the late Frank, dearly loved mother of Michael and Kathleen, mother-in-law of Vicki and Michael and a very dear grandma of Andrew and David. Funeral service at Leyburn Methodist Church on Monday, September 5 at 1.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. WALSH On August 27, tragically, of 8 Quarry Hills Lane, Leyburn. Jonathon, aged 45 years, much loved and missed partner of Carolyn (Pounder) and much loved father of Oliver and Madison. Funeral service at West Cemetery Crematorium, Darlington on Tuesday, September 6 at 10.15 a.m. No flowers please.
