Noreen, aged 64 years, dearly loved sister of Leslie, Nancy and Ann, loving aunt of Mark, Clare, Jason, Angela and Gavin and also a much loved great-aunt. Would friends please meet for service at the Methodist Chapel, Stanley, Crook on Friday, September 9 at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. All are welcome for refreshments afterwards at The George, Billy Row.

TIPTON Margaret (nee Walton), aged 57 years, of Scruton, died peacefully in hospital on September 5, after an illness borne with great courage, dignity and cheerfulness. Dearly loved wife of Ian, much loved mum of Colin, Vicki and Anne, dear mum-in-law to Tracey, loving gran of Joel and Liam, loved by sister Sylvia, brother John and their families and dear daughter-in-law to Mabel. Funeral service at St. Radegund's Church, Scruton on Wednesday, September 14 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate in church for St. Teresa's Hospice and Cancer Research U.K.

TURNER Dorothy (nee Horner) On September 7, peacefully in the Rutson Hospital, Northallerton. Dorothy, aged 90 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Eric H. Turner (of Sam Turner and Sons, Northallerton). Much loved mother of Molly, John, Michael and Erica, a loving mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Private funeral arrangements by request.

VIRR (Durham) September 2, after a tragic fall at home, in Low Pittington. Dennis, died in hospital, aged 74 years, at last released from a cruel debilitating illness he was the dearly loved husband of Ann, loving father of Denise and Colin, loved stepfather to Jim, Katherine and Derek and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sorely missed. The funeral is at Durham Crematorium on Friday, September 9 at 2.30 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers, if you wish, would be welcome for the Durham and Chester-le-Street Branch of the Alzheimers Society in appreciation of their caring support of Dennis and myself (via Stuart Wright Funeral Service Ltd., 23 Marshall Terrace, Gilesgate, Durham).

WADE Doris, former long term resident of Thornaby on Tees, wife of the late Ray Wade, died on August 31 at the age of 87 years, in Hillcrest Residential Home, Catterick Garrison. Doris will be missed by all her family. The funeral service will be held in St. Hilda's Chapel, Teesside Crematorium on Wednesday, September 7 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please accept this invitation to attend.

WADGE Sacriston September 5 (in hospital), of Gregson Street. Reuben, aged 87 years, dearly loved husband of the late Elsie and loving dad of Malcolm, Beryl and their families. Friends please meet for service at St. Peter's Church, Sacriston on Monday, September 12 at 1.00 p.m. Cremation to follow.

WAITES September 8, of Shildon. Maureen (nee Taylor), aged 67 years, beloved wife of David, devoted mam of Vivien, Bryan, Kevin, David and Paul, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving nana, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Shildon at 10.30 a.m., on Monday, September 12, followed by interment. By her own request, family flowers only.

WATSON Eric William On September 5, (peacefully), at Allison House, Teesdale. Eric, aged 78 years, formerly of Hind Street, Stockton. Dearly loved husband of Betty, beloved dad of Heather, Alan and Mark, father-in-law of Lorraine and Geoff, also a dear and devoted grandad of Kate, David, Lisa-Marie and Daniel. Service and cremation to take place on Friday September 9, at St. Hilda's Chapel, Teeside Crematorium at 1.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. No flowers by request. Elizabeth Russell (Betty), aged 83 years, beloved wife of Peter, dear mother of Marian and Peter, mother-in-law of Ernest and Julie and much loved nannie of all the children. Friends please meet for service in All Saints' Church, Newton Hall on Wednesday, September 7 at 11.30 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium, private afterwards.

WHITEHEAD September 4 (peacefully), of Berwick Court, Trimdon Grange. Paul, aged 32 years. A loving husband of Tracey, a devoted dad of Abbey, Dylan and Molly, also a much loved son, brother, uncle and also son-in-law. Cortege leaving residence Friday at 10.30 a.m. Friends please meet at St. John Fisher R.C. Church, Sedgefield for service at 11.00 a.m. followed by interment at Trimdon Grange Cemetery.

WILKINSON August 31 (after a long illness borne with courage and dignity), of Crook. Arthur, aged 69 years, much loved partner of Kath, dearest dad of Chris, father-in-law of Christine, loving grandad of Daniel also a dear brother of Beryl.
