Mark James, aged 31 years, beloved son of Hazel and Harold, much loved father of Navada and Tyler, dearly loved brother of Gill, Michelle, Ian, Craig, Tracy and Abi, a good friend to Tara, much loved by David and a very dear uncle. Funeral service at St. Matthew's Church, Leyburn on Monday, April 7 at 1.00 p.m., followed by private family cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to be shared between Church Funds and the Friarage Hospital (plate in church). Friends please meet at the church.

LORAINE William George Aged 76 years, passed away peacefully in Shrewsbury on March 29, 2003, after a short illness. Dear husband of Joan, loving father to Judith and Terry, Richard and Pam, caring brother of David and Sheila, dearest grandad of Andrew, Gemma, Mark and Mona, fond great-grandad of Oliver, treasured uncle of Yvette and Estelle. Donations may be made to Oxfam. At Rest after a life time of service.

Jessie, aged 82 years, loving mother of Jennifer and Patricia, much loved nan of Susan, Deborah, Stephen and Philip and a very dear great-nan. Judith (Judy), aged 64 years, dearly loved wife of Bob, loving mother of Lesley, Mandy and Paul, also a much loved mother-in-law, nana, great-nana, sister, sister-in-law and auntie. MASON March 31 (in hospital, after a short illness), of Stanhope Close, Ferryhill. Matty, aged 73 years, dearly loved husband of the late Susan, a much loved dad and grandad. Would friends please meet for service in Ferryhill Methodist Church at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, followed by interment in Duncombe Cemetery.

McCABE April 1, peacefully in hospital. Stanley John, aged 51 years, dear and much treasured dad of John Willy and partner to Christine. Funeral Monday, April 7. Will friends please meet for service 2.15 p.m. at St. John's Church, Darlington, followed by interment at the West Cemetery.

McKINLAY March 27 (suddenly), of Harrison Crescent, Bishop Auckland. Elizabeth Annie (Lizzie, nee Walker), aged 83 years, beloved mother of Jean, Ina, Mary and Julie, a dear mother-in-law, also a much loved grandmother and great-grandma. Will friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Witton Park at 2.20 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, followed by interment in Witton Park Cemetery.

METCALFE April 1, (peacefully), in Maple Lodge, Scotton. Lilian, aged 89 years, (formerly of Brompton). Much loved auntie and great-auntie. Funeral service to be held at St. Thomas Church, Brompton on Tuesday, April 8, at 2.00 p.m.

MORLEY April 3, (peacefully), of Roselea, Thornley. Joseph, aged 73 years, dearly beloved husband of Mary, (nee Baldasera), loving father of Angela and Joseph, father-in-law of John and Carol, a devoted grandad and great-grandad. To be received into Thornley R.C. Church on Tuesday at 5.30 p.m. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 10.00 a.m. followed by interment in Wheatley Hill Cemetery. All welcome afterwards at Thornley Catholic Club. On whose Soul sweet Jesus have Mercy. R.I.P.

Bill, aged 85 years, beloved husband of the late Ursula, much loved dad of Maggie and Bob, dear father-in-law of Val and loving grandpa of Neil, Helen, Paul, Rebecca, Adam and James. Service and cremation to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, April 3 at 3.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Barnard Castle Surgery.

PEARSON March 21, peacefully in St. Catherine's Hospice, Scarborough. William John (Bill), formerly of Leeming Bar. Dearly loved by sister Gladys, brother-in-law Jim and family. Cremation took place on March 27, Woodlands, Scarborough.

Freda, aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of the late Matty, a much loved mother of George, a dear mother-in-law of Christine, a loving nana of Jayne and Martin and great-nana of Matthew. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Thursday for a service and committal at 11.00 a.m.

PICKERING March 25 (peacefully, in hospital), of East Lodge, Greta Bridge. Alfred, aged 93 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Sarah Jane, much loved father of David and father-in-law of Carolyn, also dear grandad of Sarah, Andrew and Edward.
