JAMES On September 16, suddenly, of 7 Thornborough Hall Gardens, Leyburn (formerly of Maythorne, Leyburn). Richard (Nugget), aged 60 years, father of Lynette, Mandy, Lisa and Melanie and a dearly loved brother and brother-in-law. Funeral service at St. Matthew's Church, Leyburn on Monday, September 26 at 1.00 p.m., followed by private family committal. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to be shared between Church Funds and Leyburn Medical Practice (plate in church). Friends please meet at the church.

Eric, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Sally, dearly loved father of Valerie, Lorraine, Brian and the late Charles, a much loved grandfather, father-in-law and uncle. Cortege leaving daughter's residence 23 Brook Street, Spennymoor Tuesday for a service in St. Andrew's Church at 10.45 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only. Walter, aged 93 years, a loving husband of the late Daisy Elenor, a much loved dad of the late Thelma, Alan and Della, devoted grandad of Delphine and Alan and great-grandad of Steven, Nicola, Lauren and James. Will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends. LAWSON September 18 (peacefully in Denehurst Nursing Home), of The Conifers, Hett. Annie, aged 89 years, beloved wife of the late Chic, a dearly loved mam and granny. A private service will take place at Durham Crematorium in accordance with her last wishes.

LONGSTAFF September 22 (tragically). John Victor, aged 45 years, of Durham Lane, Piercebridge, a devoted husband and daddy of Jane and Joshua, a loving son of Stan and the late Frances, also a much loved brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral details to follow.

Johanna (nee Barker), aged 37 years, much loved mother of Kimberley and Kieran, loving daughter of Norman and Diane and a loving sister of Susan and Colin. Funeral service to take place in St. John's Church, Meadowfield on Tuesday, September 27 at 11.15 a.m., prior to cremation. Friends please meet at Church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be left in envelopes at the Church or sent to Mrs D. Richardson, 30 Hemmel Court, Brandon for Waddington Street Centre.

LUND September 19 (peacefully at home), of Braunsepath Estate, New Brancepeth, Kevin, aged 38 years, youngest son of Mary and Jack and a dear brother and uncle. Friends please meet for service in New Brancepeth Methodist Church on Monday, September 26 at 12.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. MAUGHAN Zillah Rose, died peacefully in Lewes, Sussex, aged 86 years on September 10, 2005. married George Jenner her surviving husband in St. Aidan's Church, Chilton 1942. Beloved sister of the late John Maughan of Chilton.

Sheila, of Bedale, formerly of Watlass Moor, aged 72 years, dearly loved wife of Edmund, much loved mother of Ruth and the late Peter and Kathleen, mother-in-law of Peter and dear grandma to Tom and Joe. Funeral service to be held at St. Mary's Church, Thornton Watlass on Thursday, September 22 at 1.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington at 3.45 p.m. Family flowers only. Robert William, aged 88 years, beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Bell), dearly loved father of Pauline and Bill, dearest father-in-law of Elsie and a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Rolfe, aged 48 years, devoted husband of Ann, beloved dad of Robert and James, dear stepdad to Marie and Judith, treasured son of Sonia and the late Jack, a loving grandad Rolfe, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Service to be held at York Crematorium on Friday, September 30 at 12.30 p.m. At Theresa's request, please wear bright clothes and join the family for refreshments to celebrate her life, at the British Legion Social Club, Thirsk. Joe, aged 79 years, an Orthopaedic Plaster Technician of 42 years at The County and Dryburn Hospitals, a dearly loved husband of Margaret (nee Lishman), treasured dad of Carol, precious pop of granddaughter Joanne, grandson David, great-grandson Philip, great-granddaughter Sonia and son-in-law David. Would friends please meet for service at St. Giles' Church, Gilesgate on Monday, September 26 at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crema-torium. Family flowers only by request.
