GREENER Margaret (nee McKie), aged 94 years, formerly of College View, Esh Winning, passed away peacefully on September 15 at Stocks Hall Rest Home, Ormskirk.

Lily, aged 85 years, beloved wife of the late Harry, loving mother of Harry and Ann, much loved nana of David, Paul, Brian, Rachael and Peter, dearest mother-in-law of Peter and the late Sheila and also a dear great-nana. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium Chapel on Friday, September 30 at 10.00 a.m.

HARKER September 28 (peacefully after a long illness), of Broadway Avenue, Trimdon Village. John, aged 78 years, beloved husband of the late Ivy and dearly loved dad of Brian, also a dear brother. Would friends please meet for service at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Trimdon Village on Wednesday, October 5 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

HAVILLE September 25, of 3 Windyside, Westgate. John, aged 87 years, dearly loved husband of Rosemary, loving father of Rosemary and Wendy, father-in-law of Brian and a much loved grandfather of Sarah and Emma. Will friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, St. Johns Chapel on Thursday, September 29 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment.

Dennis, aged 74 years, a much loved brother of Dorothy and the late Moira and a devoted uncle of Jill and Alison, also great-uncle Ashley-Jane, Chelsie and Paige. Sheila, aged 68 years, beloved wife of the late Tot, a much loved mother of Susan, Neil and the late Stephen and Craig, also a very dear mother-in-law and grandmother. Margaret Jane (Peg, nee Bond), aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late Robert, devoted mother of the late Valerie, dear mother of Geoff and daughter-in-law Anne, also a dear gran and great-gran. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. on Friday, September 30.

KELL September 29 (peacefully in hospital after a long illness patiently borne), of Gully Road, Wingate. Joan (nee Bell), aged 79 years, beloved wife of Johnnie, dearly loved mother of Brenda and Graham, a dearest mother-in-law of Michael and Denise and a much loved gran of Matthew, Rachel, Sarah, John-athan, Matthew and Amy. Cortege leaving residence Tuesday at 11.50 am. Friends please meet at Millbank Methodist Church for service at 12.00 noon, followed by interment at Wingate Churchyard.

LAW Carol, aged 60 years, of Etherley Lane, Bishop Auckland, died suddenly in hospital on September 23. Dearly loved wife of Derek, dearest sister to Eden, Joyce and the late Jim and a dear aunt and great-aunt. Funeral service at St Annes' Church, Bishop Auckland on Friday, September 30 at 9.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the Church. Family flowers only please, if desired donations may be given in clearly marked envelopes and left on the plate in Church for the P.D.S.A.

LAX September 25 (in hospital, after a difficult illness bravely borne), of Greenways, Sunnybrow. Valerie (nee Mowbray), aged 73 years, dearly loved wife of William, loving sister of Joan and the late Nancy. LONGSTAFF September 22 (tragically) John Victor, aged 45 years, of Durham Lane, Piercebridge, a devoted husband and daddy of Jane and Joshua, a loving son of Stan and the late Frances, also a much loved brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral Tuesday, October 4. Would friends please meet 11.00 a.m. for service at St. Mark's Church, North Road, Darlington, followed by cremation at 11.45 a.m. at Darlington Crema-torium. MACKENZIE On September 27, suddenly in hospital, after a long illness tolerated in his customary manner. David, aged 72 years, late of Ventress Hall Nursing Home, formerly of Knoll Avenue, Darlington and of Oxford. Son of the late Donald and Margaret Mackenzie, formerly master of Darlington Grammar School. Sadly missed by his family, his many godchildren and all his friends. McCORMICK September 28, of Oxclose Crescent, Spennymoor. We are very sad to announce the death of William, aged 78 years, beloved husband of Teresa (nee Murray), devoted dad of Barbara, Neil, Millie, Maggie and Marie, much respected father-in-law and friend to Hans, Alan, Dominic and Paul, adored and adoring grandad and great-grandad to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a dearly loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Betty, aged 75 years, dearly beloved wife of George, a loving mother, mother-in-law and also a treasured grandmother and great-grandmother. Cremation Durham Crematorium on Monday, October 3. Michael, aged 56 years, formerly of North-allerton, loving husband of Sue, a much adored dad of Paul and Linda, a proud grandad of Owen, a loved son of Dulcie and the late Leonard, loved brother of Diane and a beloved brother-in-law and uncle, also a dear friend to Elsie. Funeral service to be held at York Crematorium on Friday, September 30 at 2.30 p.m.
