Jane Ann (Jennie), aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Bill, loving stepmother of Norma, dearest aunt of Joan, Sylvia, Glynis and Arthur and also a dear grandma to Nicki and Ashley. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium Chapel on Friday, October 7 at 10.00 a.m.

HAMMOND Mary A dear mother and mother-in-law of Alfie and Ann, dear nana of Paul and Philippa, dear great grandma of Summer. Will be remembered always.

Mary, aged 89 years, beloved wife of the late Alfie, a dearly loved mam, mother-in-law, grand-mother, great- grandmother, great- great-grandmother and a dear sister. Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor Tomorrow, Friday for a service at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in Rock Road Cemetery.

HARDY October 5 (formerly of Trimdon). Brian, aged 71 years, of 19 Greencliffe Avenue, Baildon, BD17 5AF, beloved husband of Pauline, a loving father and grandfather, much loved son of Elsie and the late Tommy. Funeral will take place on Thursday, October 13, at 1.00 p.m. at Nab Wood Crematorium, Shipley, W. Yorkshire. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to Cancer Research UK. HARRISON October 6 (peacefully, at home), of Clive Street, Ferryhill Station. Edward (Ted), aged 80 years, beloved husband of the late Olive, loving dad of Hilda and Duncan, dearest father-in-law of John and a much loved granda of Deborah and Amanda. Would friends please meet for service in St Luke's Church, Ferryhill on Wednesday, October 12 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment at Duncombe Cemetery.

HARRISON Isabel, aged 81 years, peacefully on October 3 in St. Catherine's Hospice, Crawley, West Sussex, after a long illness bravely borne. For over forty years, organist at St. Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe. Sadly missed by sons Andrew and Jeffrey and all the family. Private cremation in Sussex. A memorial communion service will be held at 9.30 a.m. on Thursday, October 13 at St. Clare's. Donations in Isabel's memory should be made payable to the Royal Marsden Hospital and sent care of P and S Gallagher, Fraser House, Triangle Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 4HW. HAWKES September 30, peacefully at Aycliffe Nursing Home. Jane (Jean), aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob), devoted mother, mother-in-law and nana to Marilyn, Bill and Kath-ryn. Funeral Wednesday, October 12. Would friends please meet for service 11.30 a.m. at Durham Crematorium.

HILDREW September 29 (peacefully after a long illness), of The Beeches, Durham road, Wingate. Derrick, aged 84 years, beloved husband of Elizabeth, loving father of Maur-een, stepfather of John and Anne, also a much loved grandfather. Cortege leaving residence Wednesday at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet at Holy Trinity Church, Wingate for service at 1.10 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham.

HOLLINGWORTH Barbara, aged 80 years, of Richmond, died peacefully at Nightingale Hall Nursing Home, Richmond on October 1. Beloved wife of the late Edgar and a much loved mother, grandma and great-grandma. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, October 7 at 2.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only please, if desired donations may be given on the plate at the Crematorium Chapel to be divided between Arthritis Research, Cancer Research U.K and the R.N.L.I.

HOWARD Daisy October 5 (peacefully, after a short illness) of York Hill Crescent Spennymoor aged 85 years, beloved wife of the late Clement and a much loved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Family and friends please meet for service at St. David's Church, Tudhoe on Wednesday, October 12 at 12.45 pm, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Christine (nee Laing), aged 46 years, dearly loved wife of Michael, dear mother of Henry and Thomas, loving daughter of Joan and the late Jimmy, daughter-in-law of Vera and a much loved sister, sister-in-law and auntie. JACOBS passed away in Bishop Auckland General Hospital on October 1. Thomas, aged 94 years. (Late of Cumbria Lodge and formerly of Oxford Terrace, Bishop Auckland). Beloved husband of the late Edith Jacobs and much loved dad of Carol and dad 'mark 2' of Ray, also grandad and great-grandad. Friends please meet for service in St. Peter's Church, Bishop Auckland on Tuesday October 11, at 10.00 a.m. followed by cremation at Durham.

JAMES October 3 (peacefully), at Springfield Care Home. Ernest Alfred (Alf), aged 85 years, of Darlington. Beloved husband of the late Rebecca, loving father of Alec, David and William, a dear father-in-law, also a much loved grandad. Funeral service on Monday October 10, at Darlington Crematorium at 10.15 a.m. Friends invited, please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff of Springfield Care Home for their love and support.

JOHNSON October 3, in hospital, of Breck Road, Darlington (formerly of Wolsing-ham, Weardale). Alan, aged 93 years, a much loved husband and father. Funeral Monday. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 3.15 p.m. No flowers please.

KASSELL Marjorie (nee Fryer), aged 80 years, of Brompton-on-Swale, died peacefully on October 4 in the Abbey Care Village, Scorton. Beloved wife of the late Tom and a much loved mother. Funeral service in St. Paul's Church, Brompton-on-Swale on Tuesday, October 11 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church.

KAY October 1 (after a long illness). William (Bill), aged 78 years, of Darlington. A dearly loved husband of the late Betty, a wonderful father to Patricia, also a dear grandad to Sarah and James. To the world he was just a part, to me he was all the world.

Clarice, aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of the late Eric, much loved mother of Gavin, dear mother-in-law of Margaret and loving nana of Tracy and Sarah. Funeral Friday. LEA Died peacefully on October 5, at Bedale Grange Nursing Home, late of Sussex. Eva, aged 94 years, beloved wife of the late Harry, also a dearly loved sister, aunt and friend. Funeral service to be held at All Saints' Church, Northallerton on Thursday, October 13 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment.

LEALE Beverley (Bev, nee Smith), aged 55 years, of Tunstall, died peacefully at home on September 30, after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity. So much more than a loved and loving mum, sister, daughter, auntie and mother. She was a friend to us all. Bev will be greatly missed by everyone. Funeral service at Holy Trinity Church, Tunstall on Friday, October 7 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate in church for Herriot Hospice Homecare and the Disabled Bikers' Fund.

John (Haul-age Contractor), aged 79 years, beloved son of the late James and Sarah Lewis (nee Price), loving husband of Teresa, also a loving dad, father-in-law and granda. Requiem Mass at St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Stockton Road, Hartlepool on Thursday, October 6 at 1.00 p.m., prior to interment. All are welcome. R.I.P

Lucy Hannah, aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Christopher Lofthouse and Ernest Pearson, a much loved mother of Robert and Josey and a very dear stepmother, mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma. Funeral service and interment at St. Mary and St. Alkelda's Church, Middleham on Friday, October 7 at 3.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, for the Friarage Hospital (plate in church). Friends please meet at the church.

MACKENZIE On September 27, suddenly in hospital, after a long illness tolerated in his customary manner. David, aged 72 years, late of Ventress Hall Nursing Home, formerly of Knoll Avenue, Darlington and of Oxford. Son of the late Donald and Margaret Mackenzie, formerly master of Darlington Grammar School. Sadly missed by his family, his many godchildren and all his friends. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, October 4 at Elm Ridge Methodist Church at 2.00 p.m., prior to cremation at Darlington. No flowers by his own request. McGILL (Witton Gilbert) Peacefully on October 6, aged 80 years. Jane, dear wife of the late Gerard, much loved mother of Mary, Gerard, Patricia and David and also a very dear mother-in-law, nana and great-nana to all the family. Cremation at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday October 11, at 9.30 a.m. Friends kindly invited, bus provided from Witton Gilbert W.M.C.
