George, aged 91 years, died peacefully in hospital, devoted uncle of Thomas and Jean, great-uncle of Melvyn and Trevor, loving great-great-uncle of Linden, David and Stephen. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation at 2.00 p.m. on Monday October 10, 2005.

STEPHENSON October 4 (in hospital), of Raby Road, Newton Hall, Durham. Enid Margaret (nee Cumm-ings), aged 75 years, dearly loved wife of Mark, devoted mother of Gillian and Jeff, mother-in-law of Maureen and a cherished grandma of Mark, Paul and Ian. Family and friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Monday, October 10 at 2.30 p.m. All welcome for refreshments at Mount Oswald Manor afterwards. Family flowers only please. Donations for St. Cuthbert's Hospice may be sent to Mrs E Smith, 95 Cragside, Chester-le-Street DH2 2TW.

STEPHENSON Suddenly at home, in Bishop Auckland, on September 30. Thomas Hilton, aged 53 years, dearly loved dad of Paul, also a dear grandad, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Cortege to leave his son's residence at 11.15 a.m. on Friday, October 7 for service in St. Paul's Church, Witton Park at 11.30 a.m., followed by interment in Witton Park Cemetery. Will friends please meet at church.

STOBBS Doreen (nee Foster), aged 77 years, died peacefully in hospital on October 3. Re-united with Bobby, loving mother, dear mother-in-law and a much loved grandma. Friends please meet at Thornley Methodist Church on Monday October 10 at 11.10 am, followed by cremation at Durham. All are welcome at Crossways afterwards for refreshments. Family flowers only. Donations if desired for Haswell and District Mencap.

STOTT September 30, peacefully at home, of Lilac Avenue, Sedgefield. Margaret Veronica (Ronny), aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Ernest, dearly loved mam of David, Pat and Kevin, much loved nan-na of Sean, Paula and Andrew and also a dear great-grandma of Daniel, Sean, Lewis, Jorja and Adam. Will friends please meet for Requiem Mass at St. John Fisher R.C. Church, Sedgefield on Thursday, October 6 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Sedgefield Cemetery. All are welcome afterwards for refreshments at the Nags Head, Sedgefield. Love you always, will be sadly missed. R.I.P.

TEMBY October 1, formerly of Hunwick. Bill, aged 84 years, treasured husband of the late Gwen, beloved dad of Trina and Maureen, dear father-in-law of Malcolm and Richard, also dearly loved grandad of Michael, Clare, Joanne, Andrea and Paul and great-grandad of Daniel. Would family and friends please meet for service at Cockton Hill Methodist Church, Bishop Auckland on Friday, October 7 at 11.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Donations if desired, for the MARA Unit, may be left after the service. All are welcome after the service for a light lunch at the Methodist Church, Bishop Auckland. The family also wish to thank all staff at Howlish Hall, Coundon for their excellent care and kindness to Bill, Trina and Maureen. It was very much appreciated.

THACKRAY October 7, peacefully at St Teresa's Hospice, of Edmund Street, Darling-ton. Freddie, aged 79 years, beloved husband of Rita (nee Hanlon), proud dad of Elaine Minnighan/Hobson, father-in-law of Norman, also a much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Will friends please meet for service at St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor on Monday October 10, at 10.15 a.m. followed by cremation at Durham. All are welcome afterwards for refreshments at The Combined Services Club, Spennymoor.

TIMMONS October 1 (peacefully in hospital), formerly of Ushaw Moor. Dora (nee Baines), aged 74 years, beloved wife of the late George, much loved sister of Doreen, sister-in-law of Harry and loving aunty of Brenda and David and sadly missed by all her family and friends. Would friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church, Ushaw Moor on Friday, October 7 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment at Ushaw Moor Cemetery. Floral tributes may be sent to N. Alderson, Funeral Directors, Flass Terrace, Ushaw Moor, Durham.

TODD September 18, 2005, peacefully at Darlington Manor Care Home. Charles, aged 84 years, much loved brother of Pat, Malcolm, Brian and partners Janice and Barbara. Funeral Friday, October 7. UNDERWOOD Wantage Road Durham Bob Underwood sorrowfully announces the death on October 1, after a long illness, of his wife Georgina, aged 74 years, eldest daughter of the late George and Lil Shaw (DCRFC) and sister to Carol and the late Pauline, a much loved mother of Helen, Philip, Ann and Andrew. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Friday, October 7 at 2.30 p.m. No flowers please. Donations to the Macmillan Cancer Relief may be given after the service. Friends welcome for refreshments at the Durham City Rugby Football Club after-wards.

WATSON On September 30 (of Darlington), peacefully after a short illness fought with dignity and humour. John (Johnny), aged 76 years, devoted husband of the late Violet, adored dad of Linda, Gillian, Janet, John and Joanne, also a loving brother, father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 6, 9.00 a.m., at St. Cuthbert's Church, prior to interment in West Cemetery. All friends welcome, please meet at the church. Ellen (nee Tobin), aged 82 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Arthur and a much loved mother of Frank and daughter-in-law Linda, also grandmother of Robert, Jennifer, Stephen and Matthew. Friends please meet for service in St. Stephen's Church, Willington on Monday, October 10 at 12.20 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, for Leukaemia Research or N.S.P.C.C., care of her son Mr. Frank Tobin, 11 Gervaulx Court, Spennymoor. WRIGHT Carol Anne Regrettably passed away in hospital on September 26, aged 55 years, of Elmfield Place, Newton Aycliffe. Best friend and much loved husband of Jill, a loving dad of Jane, grandad of Jack, and father-in-law of Dave.
