Funeral service to take place at Sedgefield Methodist Chapel on Monday, October 24 at 12.30 p.m., prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium at 1.30 p.m. Friends please meet at chapel. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the British Heart Foundation, Wetherby Road, Tadcaster, North Yorks., LS24 9JN.

CARROLL October 11 (in hospital), of High Green, Darlington. Vera, aged 81 years, dearly loved mam of Denis and Denise, dear mother-in-law and much loved grandma and great-grandma, also a dear sister of Arthur. Funeral Monday. CLARK October 17. Barrie died peacefully at his partner's home, aged 71 years (formerly of Newton Aycliffe). Much loved partner of Paula. Funeral Tuesday, October 25. Will friends please meet for service 1.15 p.m., at the West Cemetery Chapel, Darlington prior to cremation.

CLISH Peacefully at home after a long illness, on October 15, of Sunnybanks, Lanchester. Raymond, aged 65 years, former Police Inspector D.C.C., much loved husband of Tess, a loving dad, grandad, brother and brother-in-law. Will be sadly missed by all the family. Friends please meet for service in All Saints' R.C. Church on Thursday, October 20 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in Lanchester Cemetery. All welcome for refreshments at Lanchester Cricket Club afterwards.

CRAWFORD (nee King) October 16 (peacefully in hospital). Joyce, aged 77 years of Haughton, Darlington. A dearly loved wife of Billy, a darling mother of Lindy and Elaine, also a dear grandma and great-grandma. Funeral to take place on Tuesday, October 25. Would friends please meet for service at 11.00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church, Darlington prior to private cremation.

Don, aged 82 years, dearly loved husband of Christina, a loving dad of Russ, a much loved grandad of Victoria and Jessica, a dear father-in-law of Kathy. Will friends please meet for service at Harrogate Crematorium on Wednesday, October 26 at 2.20 p.m.

Beloved wife of Richard, former wife of the late Jack Makin, a much loved mam of John, Susan, Denise, Carol, Jacky and Andrew, a dear mother-in-law, loving nana and great-nana. At Margaret's request, her funeral service took place at Darlington Crematorium Wednesday October 19.

EDDY (Medomsley) At home on October 17, aged 80 years. Joseph (Joe), beloved son of the late Jack and Mamie and twin brother of the late James. Will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Friends please meet for service at Medomsley Parish Church on Monday October 24, at 1.15 p.m. prior to cremation at Mountsett Crematorium. Family flowers only please. ELGEY October 18 (peacefully at West Lodge Nursing Home, Billy Row, Crook). Joseph, aged 84 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Ada, much loved father of Averil and Colin and father-in-law to John and Glynis, also a devoted granda of Michael, Kristian and Colette, a dear great-granda of Victoria and brother of Jean. Cremation Monday, October 24 at Durham following a service in the crematorium chapel at 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Joe will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

EMBELTON Elsie, aged 74 years of Skeeby, near Richmond, died peacefully in hospital on October 19. Beloved wife of the late Joe, much loved mum of Janet, Jill and Charlie, loving grandma of Jenny and great-grandma of Jamie and Megan. Funeral service at St. Agatha's Church, Skeeby on Wednesday October 26, at 1.00 p.m. followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. A very close friend and good companion who will be sadly missed. Mary Jayne, beloved wife of the late Percy, much loved mam of Rosie and Roland and the late Shirley and John, dear mother-in-law of Blanche and Rachael and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Friends please meet at the Baptist Church, Gilesgate on Thursday, October 20 at 1.30 p.m. Interment to follow in Belmont Cemetery. R.I.P.
