THOMPSON November 10, suddenly after a long illness. Doreen, aged 78 years, of Bishop Auckland, beloved wife of Herbert, devoted mam of Michael, dear mother-in-law to Kate, a much loved and loving grandma to Christopher and Joanne, also a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. Helen's Church at 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday November 15, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations may if desired be sent to the MARA Unit at Bishop Auckland General Hospital.

THOMSON Chester-le-Street Peacefully at home on November 3, aged 86 years. Raymond Stuart, a loving husband of Georgina, much loved dad of Gloria and Glynis, loved father-in-law of Neville and a loved brother of Mary. Sadly missed by all his loving family and friends. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Birtley Crematorium on Wednesday, November 9 at 2.00 p.m.

TODD Denis George, aged 85 years, of Colburn, died suddenly at home on November 7. Beloved husband of the late Lorna and a much loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral service at St. Joan of Arc R.C. Church, Catterick Garrison on Monday, November 14 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in Hipswell Cemetery. Friends please meet at the Church. Mabel, aged 94 years of Sowerby, Thirsk, beloved wife of the late Harold and dear mother of Brenda and the late Kenneth also a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Service at St. Oswald's Church, Sowerby on Wednesday, November 9 at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given for St. Oswald's Church.

TODD October 17, tragically, on holiday in Margarita (Venezuela). Kenneth, aged 62 years, of Spain, formerly of Thirsk, adored husband of Bronwen, loving father of Julie, Richard and Peter and their partners, also beloved son of the late Harold and Mabel and a much loved grandfather. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk today, Friday, November 11 at 1.15 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Church Funds, a plate will be provided in church.

WALKER November 3 (peacefully in hospital), of 1 Station Road, Mickleton, Barnard Castle. George Alan (Alan), aged 63 years, a most loved partner of Maggie, son of the late Albert and Mary, dear brother of Ronnie and John, brother-in-law of Kathy and Jill and a very dear uncle and great-uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Laithkirk Church on Friday, November 11 at 12.00 noon, followed by interment in Romaldkirk Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Sylvia Esther (nee Scaife), aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Harry, a dearly loved mam of David, Grandma Sylva to David and Sally and great-grandma to Grace. Would friends please meet at St. Cuthbert's Church, Darlington Thursday for a service at 2.30 p.m., followed by committal at Darlington Crematorium.

WILLIAMS November 10 (suddenly, but peacefully, in hospital), of Ferryhill. James Henry (Harry), aged 72 years, loving husband of the late Gladys, loving dad of Gary, David and daughter-in-law Jackie, much loved brother of Liz and Eddie, also a loving and devoted grandad and great-grandad, son of the late Doris and Harry. Would friends please meet for service in St. Luke's Church at 10.15 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, followed by cremation at Durham.

WILLIAMS (nee Mason) November 5, peacefully at home. Pearl, aged 67 years, of Morton Walk. Beloved mother of Brian and Joanne, much loved nana to Matthew, beloved sister-in-law to Anne and beloved aunty to Marie, Andrew and Julie. Would friends please meet for service at 1.15 p.m. at St. Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe on Tuesday, November 15, followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. No flowers by request.

WILLIS November 1 (suddenly at home), of High Street, Carrville. Ronnie, aged 79 years, dearly missed by family and friends. Would friends please meet for service at Carrville Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 8 at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only by request, with donations kindly accepted by Arthritis Research.

WOODS November 10, of Copeland Road, West Auckland. George Ralph, aged 85 years, beloved husband of the late Irene and a much loved father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather, also a dear brother. AINSLEY November 12, of Crook, in West Lodge Nursing Home, Billy Row. John William (Jack), aged 85 years, dearly loved husband of the late Hannah, much loved father of Margaret and the late Eileen, loving father-in-law of Richard and Geoff, dear brother-in-law of Evelyn and Keith, also loving granda to Adam and Sarah, Kate and John and Paul, great-granda to Bethany, Beth, Luke and Hannah. A private service and cremation by his request will be held in Durham Crematorium at 10.00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17. Donations in lieu of flowers for Masonic Charities may be sent c/o Mr K. ATKINS Thomas Henry (Tom), aged 74 years, of Colburn formerly of Whitefields Drive, Richmond, died peacefully in hospital on November 12, after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of Moira and a much loved dad, father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, November 18 at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at the Crematorium Chapel. BAILEY November 13, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity, of West Lodge, Billy Row, late of Foundry Fields, Crook. Mary (nee Anderson) aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late Norman and also a much loved auntie. BARNINGHAM Alwyn, aged 73 years, of Hazeldene, Wackerfield, died peacefully in hospital on November 14. Beloved son of the late Frances and Robert Barningham, dearest brother to the late Percy and Larry and a much loved uncle and great-uncle.
