PARKIN November 24, of Crook. George (Doad), aged 90 years, devoted husband of the late Bessie, dearly loved dad of Gillian and father-in-law to Brian, very dear granda to Claire, Marianne and Adam, also dear brother-in-law and uncle. Cortege to leave his daughter's residence at 9.20 a.m. on Friday, December 2 for Requiem Mass in St. Cuthbert's R.C. Church, Crook at 9.30 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Will friends please meet at the Church. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may if desired be made to Bishop Auckland Butterwick Hospice c/o Gillian.

Kenneth (Ken), aged 83 years, dearly loved husband of Betty, a dear father of Kenneth and David, also a much loved grandad of Carol-ine, Andrew and Lindsay and father-in-law of Margaret and Karen. Cortege leaving residence at 2.30 p.m. on Monday, December 5 for service and committal at Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers please to the Stroke Foundation.

The funeral service will be held for family and friends at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, December 6 at 10.45 a.m. Family flowers only please. POTTER November 26, formerly of Coxhoe. Laura Emily, aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late Norman Charles and will be sadly missed by all the family. Would friends please meet for service in Bowburn Methodist Church on Monday, December 5 at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Friends welcome for refreshments at her daughter's residence afterwards. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given after the service for the Palliative Care (Macmillan Nurses).

PURVIS Evelyn (nee Carr) At home in Eggleston (formerly of Seaham) on November 23, 2005. We lost a much loved wife, mum and nana, after a short illness borne with the determined resolution only Eve could muster. She loved and was loved by Owen, Lynn, Owen Jnr., Viv, Carol, Graham, Catherine, Paul, Don, Neil and other her many friends. Funeral service in St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle on friday, December 2 at 1.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the Church, if desired, flowers may be sent to John Blenkiron, Funeral Director, 100 galgate, Barnard Castle.

SAYLES (nee Barnes) November 28, peacefully at Greenfield House Nursing Home, Newton Aycliffe, of Heighington Village. Betty, aged 85 years, dearly loved wife of Douglas for 63 years, much loved mum of Ian and Chris, dear mother-in-law of Karen and Clare and a loving grandma of Paul, Emma and Adam. Funeral Tuesday. Friends please meet for service in St. Michael's Church, Heighington at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation. By request, family flowers only please.
