Cremation Thursday, June 12 at Durham. Cortege leaving her son Peter's residence, Boyden Close, St. Helens at 12.50 p.m. for service in St. Helen's Church at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet at church.

RAW June 9, (peacefully, after a long illness) at Allison House Nursing Home (formerly of Butterwick House Farm, Sedgefield). Mavis, aged 81 years, dearly loved wife of the late William Leonard, dearest loving mother of Sid and Jean, a dear mother-in-law, nanna, great-grandma and sister. Service in St. Edmund's Church, Sedgefield on Friday at 1.00 p.m. followed by interment in Sedgefield Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers if desired to, Poplar Alzheimers Lodge Limited, c/o, Allison House, Fuden Way, Thornaby-on-Tees.

RIDER June 5, in hospital, of Greencroft Court (late of Hillside Road), Darlington. Linda, a dearly loved mother of Ann. Cremation private.

RIDER On June 5, in Harrogate (formerly of North allerton), after a long illness. Maurice, in his 82nd year, dearly loved husband of Joyce and devoted dad of Liz. Cremation took place on Wednesday, June 11.

Winifred (Winnie), aged 85 years, loving wife of the late Stan, dearest mother of Jean and Rita, a dear mother-in-law, nan and great-grandmother. Service at Durham Crematorium on Monday at 10.30 a.m. Cortege leaving daughter's residence, 18 Priors Path, Ferryhill at 10.10 a.m. Would friends please meet at crematorium.

ROBSON June 10 (peacefully, in hospital), of Goodison Way, Darlington (formerly of Lyonette Road). Lily, aged 81 years, dearly loved wife of the late Bob, dearly loved and devoted mam of Pam, Ken, Anne and Jen, loving mother-in-law of Billy and Christine, cherished and devoted nan of Mark, Lisa, Caroline, Andrew and Michelle, loved by Sharon, Mike and Mike and cherished great-nana of Callum, Barry and Ross. Funeral Friday. Would friends kindly meet for service in Northlands Methodist Church at 9.00 a.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations may be sent for Northlands Methodist Church.

Service at St. John's Church, Ingleton on Monday, June 16 at 11.45 a.m., followed by interment in the churchyard. Will friends please meet at church.

ROWNTREE On April 25, at Chacombe, Banbury and formerly of Skeeby, near Richmond, North Yorks. William John, aged 63 years, dearly loved husband of Glynis, very dear father of Simon and Alison, loving grandfather of Jonathan, a much loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral service and cremation have taken place at Chacombe, Banbury. A Thanksgiving Service for William's life will take place at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Saturday, June 21 at 3.00 p.m. to which all relatives and friends are welcome. Donations in memory of William, if so desired, may be given for The Katharine House Hospice, c/o Simon Barningham, Manor Farm, Grinton, Richmond, North Yorks., DL11 6HL.

ROXBOROUGH Eva On June 8, in Yohden Hall Nursing Home, Blackhall (late of Sunderland Road, Horden). Eva (nee Gill), aged 89 years, dearly beloved wife of the late Wilson and loving mother of the late Sybil and also a loving nana, great-nana and great-great-nana. Cremation Durham Crematorium on Friday. Cortege leaving her granddaughter's residence, 98 Thorntree Gill, Peterlee. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at the crematorium at 10.00 a.m. Peace after pain

SCHURMANN (Nee Hymas) Flora Emily (Flo), died June 11, 2003, peacefully in hospital, aged 81 years. A dear mother of Helene and Trevor, grandmother of Sharon and Paul and a great-grandmother. Private cremation. No flowers by request.

SHORT June 13, in hospital, after a long illness bravely borne. Joan Philomena (nee Saunders), aged 58 years, of West Auckland. Beloved wife of David, devoted and much loved mam of Alison and partner Wayne, also a dearly loved sister, sister-in-law and aunty. Will friends please meet for Requiem Mass in St. Paulinus R.C. Church, West Auckland at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, followed by interment in West Auckland Cemetery. All are invited to refreshment in West Auckland F.C. Social Club after this service. On whose soul sweet Jesus have mercy.

SILL On June 8, of Newton Aycliffe Nursing Home. Elizabeth, aged 89 years, beloved wife of the late William, a much loved mother of Eileen and Margaret and a dearly loved grandma and great-grandma. Would friends please meet for service in St. Stephen's Church, Willington on Monday, June 16 at 10.45 a.m., prior to cremation at Durham.

SIMPSON Josepha Annie (nee Lawson), peacefully in hospital on June 6. Beloved wife of the late James Douglas, much loved mother of Rosie, Mark and Jane, mother-in-law of Debra and a much loved grandma of Kate, Alexander and Laura. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, June 12 in Seamer Parish Church at 3.00 p.m., prior to interment in Whorlton Churchyard, Swainby. Friends please meet at church.

Gerald (Gerry), aged 65 years, a devoted and loving husband of Marjorie, a special dad and best friend of Kay, Julie and Diane, a loving father-in-law and a precious granda. Funeral Tuesday.
