WHITE June 4, peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirm-ary, Carlisle. Mary Jane, aged 88 years, of Low Farm, Nateby (formerly of Low Birkwith Farm, Horton-in-Ribblesdale). Dearly loved wife of the late Harry, much loved mother of Marma, Betty, Clifford, Winston and David and a much loved nana. Service and interment took place at St. Oswald's Church, Horton-in-Ribblesdale on Monday, June 9. WILLIAMS Kathleen (Kath, nee Roberts), aged 41 years, of 6 Bridgegate, Barnard Castle, died peacefully in hospital on June 8, after an illness borne with courage and dignity. Dearly loved wife of Jock, much loved mother of John and Lewis, dear mother-in-law to Ruth, loving daughter of Jim and the late Pam and dearest sister to David. "She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends and will always be in our hearts and thoughts". Funeral service at St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle on Friday, June 13 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. John Edgar, aged 86 years, beloved husband of the late Chrissie, devoted dad of Jacqueline and Maureen, a dear father-in-law, also a much loved and loving grandad and great-grandad. George, aged 83 years, loving husband of the late Jennie, dearly loved father of Edward, dear father-in-law of Magdalene, dearest grandfather of Edward, Simon and Catherine, also a sadly missed great-grandfather. John, aged 84 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Lavinia, a much loved father of Susan and Gillian and father-in-law to Peter, also a much loved grandad of Claire, Mark and Andrew and great-grandad of Abbi. Interment Thursday, June 19 in Bishop Auckland Cemetery following a service in St. Andrew's Church, South Church at 11.15 a.m. Friends please meet at church. Special thanks to the I.T.U. at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

CARTER June 14, of Minster Court, Willington, formerly of Burn Place, died peacefully and with dignity at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness borne with great courage. William (Bill), aged 62 years, the devoted and loving husband of Angela, special dad to Beverley, Michelle and Robert, a respected father-in-law and precious grandad to Jade and Jack, loving brother to Betty and Trevor and also a dear brother-in-law. Friends please meet for service at St. Stephen's Church, Willington on Thursday, June 19 at 11.15 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, to the Macmillan Cancer Care Hospice, may be left with the family. All are welcome afterwards at the Kensington Hall Hotel. Family and friends will sadly miss Bill. He was loved by all and will never be forgotten.
