HARDY - Gwen, of Cottingham Court, Darlington, died June 19, in hospital. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 27 at 1.45 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Friends will be holding a celebration of Gwen's life, details to be announced.

HARKER - On June 21 (suddenly, at home), of Sowerby, Thirsk. Neil, aged 61 years, beloved husband of Judy, loving father to Andrew and Julie, dearly loved son of Georgie and a dear grandad. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Friday June 29 at 2.00 pm, followed by interment. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to the British Heart Found-ation.

HEWITT - His Honour Harold A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St. Peter's Chapel, Auckland Castle on Thursday, July 12 at 12.00 noon. Donations to the YMCA Regional Trust Fund, 178 Victoria Road, Darlington.

HICKMAN - June 27 (peacefully, at home), of Hilda Street, Darlington. Harold (Harry), a much loved brother to Elsie, John and Brian, a very close friend to Billy, also a dearly loved uncle. Funeral Thursday, July 5. Would friends please meet 1.00 pm for service at St. William's R.C. Church, Darlington, followed by interment in the North Cemetery. Family flowers only please. HUNTER - The cremation took place yesterday at Durham Crematorium of Miss Elizabeth M. Hunter who died at Sherburn Hospital on June 14, 2007. A retired Teacher she reached the grand old age of 102 years. At her own request, she had a private funeral. Thanks to doctors at Chastleton Surgery. Thanks to all staff at Sherburn Hospital. Thanks to Rev Bill Tate for a comforting service and to Neil McGrail and staff of Co-operative Funeral Care, Sherburn Hill for funeral arrangements and many thanks to friends, having kept in touch over many years.

HUTCHINSON - Newton Aycliffe June 27, peacefully, in hospital, of Barnes Walk. Cora (nee Peers), aged 72 years, beloved wife of the late Ron, a wonderful mother to David, Michael, Ronnie, Elizabeth and Susan, a loving sister to Margaret and Ann and a devoted grandma. She will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends. Funeral Tuesday, July 3. Would friends kindly meet for service in St. Clare's Church at 1.15 p.m., prior to cremation for family and friends. Ethel, aged 78 years, dearly loved wife of the late Larry and a dear mother of David, Karen and Jeff, also a much loved gran of Stuart, Vicky, Paul, Lisa and great-gran of Brooke, Freddie and Sam and a much loved mother-in-law of Christine and Gillian. Cortege leaving residence at 1.35 p.m. on Monday, July 2 for service in the Village Methodist Church at 1.45 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.

JACKSON - Horden On June 24, peacefully, in hospital. Lorna (nee Blyth), aged 79 years, dearly beloved wife of Albert Farrow. My darling you are the best thing that, in my life, has ever happened to me. I love you and miss you more than I can say, Albert. Funeral to take place on Friday, June 29. Friends please meet for service at Horden Independent Methodist Church at 10.40 a.m., followed by cremation at Hartlepool Crematorium at 11.40 a.m. and after wards for refreshments in the Great Temperance Hall, Sixth Street, Horden. JACKSON - Horden On June 24, peacefully in hospital. Lorna (nee Blyth), dearly loved mam of Bill and Robert, cherished mother-in-law of Jennifer and Deborah, a much loved nana of David, Paul, Eleanor and Peter. Sadly missed and always remembered.

JOHNSON - On June 25, of Lister Terrace East, Wolsing-ham. Brian, aged 68 years, a dearly loved husband of Lynn, loving step-father and friend of Emma and Ryan and a dear brother and uncle. KELLER - Billy John William, aged 64 years, peacefully in hospital surrounded by his loving family, on June 22, of Auckland Avenue, Darlington. Loving husband of Norma, dearly loved dad of Mandy, Tracy and Claire, loving father-in-law of Sean, Gary and Rupert, a devoted granda of Craig, Lee, Daniel, Michael, Brandon and Kaitlyn (Betty). KYTE - June 25, Ruth, aged 81 years, died as she lived, with grace and dignity, at home with her family in Toft Hill. Beloved wife of Douglas, devoted mum of Elizabeth and Jane, dear mother-in-law to Ian and John, dearest sister of June, also a dear aunt. Will friends please meet for service in St. Cuthbert's Church, Etherley at 1.45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, followed by cremation at Darlington.
