A beloved husband of Lillian, a dearly loved step-father of Viviene and Anita and grandad, son of Mary and the late Thomas, a much loved brother of Stephen and Anne, also a brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and nephew. FELL - Amy Evelyn (nee Knights), of Staindrop, died peacefully at Devonshire House, West Auckland on September 19, aged 92 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Walter, much loved mam of Harry, Evelyn, Ken, Robin and Brenda, dear mother-in-law of Jacqueline, Georgina, Bobby and the late Mike, also a loving and devoted nan, great-nan and great-great-nan. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Staindrop on Wednesday, September 26 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in the Cemetery. Will friends please meet at the Church.

FOTHERGILL - September 14, Else, died peacefully in St. Teresa's Hospice, Darlington, she was 82 years old. She will be missed by all who knew her and especially by her family and friends both here and in Germany. Funeral Friday September 21. Beloved husband of the late Ann, (nee Nelson), dearly loved dad of Raymond, Donald, Ann, Paul, Peter, Janice, Jayne and Barbara, also stepfather of Barbara, Alan and the late Teddy and also a cherished grandad. Would friends and family please meet for service at St. Catherine's Church, Crook on Monday October 1, at 10.00 a.m. followed by interment at Crook Cemetery.

HAYWOOD - 1912 - 2007 Thomas Vincent, peacefully after a long life of 95 years, on September 8, 2007. Predeceased by his beloved wife Aileen and grandson Garry. Survived by his daughter Joy (Andy), grandson Robin (Celia) and great-granddaughter Vivienne, all in Canada, also by daughter Audrey (Gordon), granddaughter Helen, also by extended family in Darlington and Scotland and by his sisters Irene of Darlington who took such great care of him in his last years and Thelma in Scotland. Thanks are due to his nephew, Melvyn and family for constant attention to my dad's needs, above and beyond family ties. Many thanks to neighbours John and Janice Summerfield for their unstinting help on many many occasions. A good man. A wise man. Dad, you will be missed so very much. Service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 1.45 p.m.

HERDMAN - Harold Rewcastle (Sam) of Aldbrough St John, died September 20 aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of Joan, beloved dad of Zoe and Cecily and a very dear brother of Elaine and Derrick. Funeral particulars later.

ISAAC - Newton Aycliffe September 17, suddenly at home. Alex, aged 65 years, beloved and much loved husband to Margaret, devoted father to Stuart, Graham, Alex and Ian, also a loving grandfather. IVESON - James Edward, passed away peacefully, at Threshfield Court Nursing Home on September 16, three days after his 86th Birthday, formerly of Skirethorns and prev iously of Hawes where he was a Blacksmith. Jim was a much loved uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle.
