Charlie, aged 77 years, beloved husband of the late Joyce, adored dad of Carol, Graham and Heather, a dearly loved grandad of Lucie and Zoé, much loved brother of Norman, Bernard and the late Tommy, a dear brother-in-law of Margaret and Joan. PYLE - Great Lumley Peacefully in hospital on September 16, aged 85 years, Maurice dearly beloved husband of the late Alice, much loved dad of Raymond, Stuart, Maurice and Kathleen. Also a loved father-in-law and devoted grandad and great grandad. Will be sadly missed by all his loving family and many friends. SMITH - On Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, following a sudden and unexpected illness. Jennifer (nee Watt) aged 38 years, dearly loved wife of Robin, devoted mother to Alexandria, Oliver and Fraser and a darling daughter and sister to June, John and Anthony. A Memorial Service will be held in Broughty Ferry New Kirk, Queen Street, Broughty Ferry, Dundee on Friday, September 21 at 11.00 a.m. to which all friends are most welcome. The family would encourage those attending to wear bright colours. No flowers please. If desired a charitable donation may be made at the Church.

STEPHENSON - On September 15, of Stanhope. Annie (nee Ridley), aged 71 years, beloved wife of the late Frank, dearly loved mam of John, Susan, Frank, Billy, Antony and David, also a much loved mother-in-law, nanna and sister. Will friends please meet for service in St. Thomas' Church, Stanhope at 10.00 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, followed by interment in Crosshills Cemetery.

STOCKDALE - Ruth, aged 86 years, formerly of Carlton Miniott and Norby Thirsk, died peacefully on September 12 at Morris Grange Nursing Home. Re-united with husband Frederick and beloved son Brian. Sadly missed by her granddaughters Louise and Tracy and her great-grandchildren. Funeral service at Thirsk Methodist Church on Wednesday September 26 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in Carlton Miniott Churchyard.

STONES - September 17, (tragically). Michael Alan, aged 19 years. Much loved son of Alan and Tracey, loving brother of Lee, Aimee and Levi, a dear grandson of Bob, Joan and Peter. Friends please meet for service at Thornley Methodist Chapel on Tuesday September 25, at 1.30 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium.

TINDALE - Harriet September 11, peacefully in hospital, of Easington Colliery. Harriet (nee Henderson formerly Kemp), aged 83 years, a much loved mam, a dear mother-in-law, a cherished nana and devoted great-grandma. Cortege to leave her residence on Tuesday for a private service and cremation at Durham Crematorium at 11.30 a.m.

TURNER - Formerly Bray. September 18. Peacefully of Cherry Garth, Thirsk. Laura, aged 96 years. Loving mother of Samuel, Mary, William and the late John. The funeral service will be held at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday September 25, at 2.15 p.m. Would friends please meet at the crematorium.

VASEY - Annie Elizabeth Peacefully, in hospital on August 28, much loved mam of Michael and the late Christopher and Andrew, dear wife of the late Thomas Welham and special mother-in-law of Pat and Linda, loving grandma of Richard, Catriona, Martin, Robert and Philip and dear great-grandma of Nichole, Ceinwen, Jessica, Matthew, Daniel and Nathaniel. Funeral service and interment at All Saint's Church, Kirkbymoorisde on Thursday September 20, at 12.00 noon.
