CAMMISS - (Trimdon Colliery) Peacefully in hospital on October 13. Joseph (Joe), aged 65 years, devoted husband of Sandra, much loved dad of Tony, Barbara and Steven, father-in-law to Nichola, Kelvin and Charlotte, a treasured grandad of Joseph, Emily, Amelia and Daniel and sadly missed by all family and friends. The funeral will take place on Friday, October 19. Friends please meet for service at St. Paul's Church, Trimdon Colliery at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in Trimdon Grange Cemetery.

CANNEY - Ian, of Morton on Swale, died peacefully at home on October 12, 2007. A loving husband of Sallie, also father of Deborah and Sarah, a grandad to Oliver, Cullum and Rohan. Funeral service will be held at St. Helen's Parish Church, Ainderby Steeple on Monday, October 22 at 12.10 p.m. Family flowers only please. CARR - (nee Witherspoon) Kay, passed away peacefully on October 14, at Sedgefield Community Hospital after a short illness. Love always, devoted fiancé Steve, daughter Debbie, son-in-law Pete and adored granddaughter Baba Neve. Sadly missed by her dogs, Char,lee and Sumrai. Cremation to take place at Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 23 followed by refreshments at Dene Mouth Caravan Park. Family flowers only please. CHALLENGER - October 10, (peacefully), in the loving care of staff at Portland House. Margaret, aged 94 years. Devoted wife of the late Ronald and a loved mam, mother-in-law, gran and great-gran. Cortege leaving Portland House, Willington for service at Lydia Street Methodist Chapel on Thursday October 18, at 1.10 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only.

CHAPMAN - Arthur, aged 88 years, of North Green, Staindrop. It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur announce his death on October 12 after a happy and contented life. A much loved husband of the late Annie and the late Mary and a very special uncle, great-uncle, stepfather and brother-in-law. His kind contented nature and quirky sense of humour will be greatly missed. Funeral service at Staindrop Methodist Chapel on Thursday, October 18 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the chapel.

CLARK - October 16, peacefully in the Lambert Hospital, of Thirsk. Eric, aged 84 years, loving husband of the late Jane, dear father and grandad. Dearly loved by Charles and Dawn, Sue and Jim and his six grandchildren. Will friends please meet for service in St. Oswald's Church, Sowerby on Saturday, October 20 at 11.00 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu will be shared between Friends of the Lambert Hospital and the Normandy Veterans Association.

CONDON - October 16, of Bishop Auckland. Florence Margaret, aged 87 years, dearly loved mam of Margaret, June, Pamela, Frank and Ann, dear mother-in-law to John, Phillip, Betty, Thomas and the late Brian, mother figure to Stephen, a very much loved nanna and great-nanna Florrie, sister, aunt and loving friend of Christine. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 3.00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24.

COPESTAKE - On October 13, of Brookside, Witton Gilbert. Brian, aged 69 years, dearly loved husband of Margaret, also a dear father, grandfather and father-in-law. Friends please meet for service at St. Mary and St. Cuthbert's Church, Chester-le-Street on Tuesday, October 23 at 10.30 a.m. Private cremation to follow. George William, aged 70 years, dearly loved and devoted husband of Freda, much loved dad of Valerie and the late John, loving brother of Lily and brother-in-law of Alan, also a devoted granda and great-granda. DOCKRILL - Helen Peacefully in hospital on October 11. Helen (nee Hebblethwaite), aged 81 years, mother of Jennifer, Malcolm, Graham and Joy, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. John Stanley, aged 53 years, of Broomfield Avenue, Northallerton, beloved husband of Hilary, devoted and treasured father of Caroline and Fiona, dearly loved son-in-law, cousin and friend. DONOHUE - October 12, suddenly, of Bishop Auckland. Andrew David, aged 28 years, dearly beloved son of David and Susan, loving fiance of Lisa, loving brother of Lindsay, dear grandson of Edna and the late Jack, also Dorothy and the late Cyril, a devoted uncle to Jacob, Rayanna and Ethan, also a dear nephew. Will friends please meet for service in Bishop Auckland Methodist Church at 10.30 a.m., on Monday, October 22, followed by cremation at Durham. After this service all are welcome to refreshment in the Aclet Hotel. Forever in our hearts. Gone but not forgotten.

James (Jim), aged 86 years, devoted husband of Marie, much loved dad of Jim, Marie, Kevin, Karen, Anne, Michael, Stephen and the late Peter, a loving father-in-law, also a loving grandfather and great-grandfather and sadly missed by all family and friends. Funeral to take place on Thursday, October 18. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass at Thornley R.C. Church at 8.30 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only please by request. FARRY - Thomas Aged 56 years. Died suddenly in Australia on October 12. Will be sadly missed by family and friends in England.

George, aged 84 years (former chairman of Sedgefield District Council), beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Hannah, a dearly loved dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother-in-law. Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church, Monday for a service at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment in York Hill Cemetery.

FILLERY - October 9 (suddenly in hospital), of Thornfield Avenue, Dishforth and Birdforth, former parts supervisor at Scania, Thirsk. David, aged 58 years, beloved son of the late Joyce and the late Sid, a loving brother to Barbara, Michael, Keith and Andrew, a dear brother-in-law and uncle. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Monday, October 22 at 1.15 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. FOSTER - John Stanley (Stan), aged 92 years, of Bowes, died peacefully in hospital on October 14. Dearly loved husband of Betty, much loved father of June, Trevor and Evelyn and a dear father-in-law, loving grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service at St. Giles' Church, Bowes on Monday, October 22 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at church. GILBERT - October 12, of Blagden Grove, Bishop Auckland. Holborn (Gil), aged 82 years, beloved husband of Joan, also a dearly loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Friday, October 19 at 3.30 p.m.

GILDAY-CRAKE - I'm sitting looking out of the window, watching the world go by. Thinking about your life and why you had to die. Your work down here was over, God needed you up there. Even angels need a mother, He picked you because you care. You were the link to our family chain, now it's broken things will never be the same. Broken hearted daughter June. R.I.P.
GILDAY-CRAKE - Mary I lived in hope, I prayed in vain that God would make you well again. But God decided we must part, I watched you die with a broken heart. All our love forever, ever loving son Shaun and Sandra.
