NEWMAN Christopher Paul passed away peacefully on July 3 at The Hospice of The Good Shepherd, Chester, aged 46 years. Beloved husband of Wendy, dearest daddy of Edward, dearly loved elder son of Joyce and Allan and dear brother and friend of Mark and Karen. A funeral service will take place at St. Michael's Church, Newton, Chester on Friday July 11, at 2.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. Mary (nee Dawson), aged 51 years, beloved wife of John, dearly loved mother of Maxine and Nicola, dearest mother-in-law and a much loved grandma, sister, sister-in-law and daughter-in-law. Cortege leaving residence Wednesday at 11.40 a.m. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and cremation at 12.00 noon.

OWENS Tuesday, July 8, 2003, peacefully in the Lawson Memorial Hospital, Golspie. William Owens (Bill), aged 81 years, a brave man who served his country in World War II as a Flight Sergeant of the 547 Squadron. A wonderful husband to Lena for fifty five years, a devoted proud father to his daughters Marilyn and son-in-law Hans, Sher and Clive, Pam and Chris and a loving grandfather to Thomas, Christian, Hannah and Peter. Service to be held in St. Andrew's Church, Golspie on Monday, July 14.

PERRY Aycliffe Village After a long, courageous struggle and years of pain and suffering, on his birthday, July 7. Don, aged 81 years, now walking with God. A gentleman of the old school. Dearly loved husband of Eve, treasured father of Tricia, devoted, adored grandad and surrogate daddy to Tristram. PLEWS (nee Dunn) passed away July 10, our precious daughter and sister, Avril, after a long, courageous struggle, borne with great dignity. Born at Hilltop Farm, her grandparents' farm, the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade. Will be sadly missed. Mam, Dad, sister and brothers.
