Beloved wife of the late Joseph, dearly loved mother of Jack and Marilyn, dear mother-in-law of Audrey and Henry, devoted and much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral Thursday August 17. Would friends kindly meet for service in St. Clare's Church 1.30 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium 2.30 p.m.


HIGGINS - August 13 (suddenly, at home), in Durham. David, aged 67 years, (organist and choir master at St. Oswald's Church, Durham). Loving husband of Brenda, beloved father of Rebecca, Simon and Tim and dear grandfather of Melissa. Friends please meet for service at St. Oswald's Church, Durham on Friday August 18, at 11.30 a.m. Cremation to follow.


HILL - August 5 (peacefully, in hospital). Edith A. (Nan), aged 90 years, of Darlington, late of Newton upon Rawcliffe, a beloved sister and aunt.


HOGG - Marie Kathleen (Kitty), aged 64 years, of Orchard Grove, Bromp-ton, Northallerton, died peacefully at the Rutson Hospital on August 9. Beloved wife of the late Gerry, much loved mum of Maggie and Maria, loving nana to Shannon and Darren and a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Requiem Mass at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Northallerton on Wednesday, August 16 at 12.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate provided in the church for Martin House Hospice, Wetherby. Rest in Peace


HOWE - August 15, of Rumby Hill Lane, Crook. Ronald, aged 71 years, beloved husband of Emily, a dearly loved father of Colin, Neil, John and Paul, a dear father-in-law, also a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church, Crook on Wednesday, August 23 at 1.40 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to Cancer Research, c/o John Howe, 13 Holly Terrace, Howden-le-Wear, Crook, plate also provided at Durham Crematorium.


HUDSON - Margaret (nee Dale). July 26, 1941 to July 28, 2006. Died peacefully, aged 65 years in Sidney, Australia after emigrating from Sinderby, Thirsk in December 1967. Dear sister to Marion and the late Mervyn, mother of Peter, Neil and Stuart, auntie to Liz, Jon, Mervyn and great-auntie to Shannon and Finlay. Will be sadly missed.

Keith, aged 61 years, dearly loved partner of Joyce and a loving father, stepfather and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, August 22 at 11.30 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given after the service for Ward 2, University Hospital North Durham.

Eva (formerly Burgess), aged 84 years, a dearly loved wife, a much loved mam of Brian, Doreen, John and Denise, also dear mother-in-law and nana. Cortege leaving her son's residence North Road, Spennymoor. Would friends please meet at St. Andrew's Church, Spennymoor Tomorrow, Friday, August 18 at 12.45 p.m. for a service, followed by a private cremation.


JACKSON - Bernard, aged 81 years, of Newton Hall, Durham, in hospital on August 15. Dearly loved husband of Lily. Friends please meet for Service of Thanksgiving at All Saints' Church, Newton Hall on Tuesday, August 22 at 10.15 a.m., followed by a short service at crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Cuthbert's Hospice or Church Funds, plate provided.

Josephine (nee Templeton), aged 77 years, beloved wife of the late Idwel, dearly loved mother of Vera and David, dearest mother-in-law of Rita, much loved gran of Steve, Katie and Adam. Cortege leaving residence Tuesday at 10.50 a.m. Friends please meet at Thornley Methodist Church for service at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment at Thornley Cemetery.


KAY - August 10, peacefully at home, surrounded by her daughters. Patricia Mary, aged 63 years, special mum to Beth and Celia. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday August 22 for service at 2.00 p.m.


KELLY - August 16, in Parklands Home, Crook. Mary Elizabeth, aged 95 years, of Howden-le-Wear. Beloved wife of the late Robert Marshall, devoted mam of David and Marjorie, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving gran, great-gran and great-great-gran, also a dear sister and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Howden-le-Wear Methodist Chapel at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, August 21, followed by interment in Howden-le-Wear Cemetery.


LANCASTER - On August 10, peacefully in St. Teresa's Hospice. Flo, aged 73 years, of Darlington, dearly beloved wife of Bill, much loved mam of Billy, Gary, Paul, David and Michael, mother-in-law of Denise, Caroline and Sophie, also an adored nana to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Friday, August 18. Would friends please meet for service in St. Matthew and St. Luke's Church, Darlington at 11.00 a.m., prior to private cremation. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to St. Teresa's Hospice, The Woodlands, 91 Woodland Road, Darlington, DL3 7UA.


LINDRIDGE - Tracy Wife of Alan, mother of Matthew. Passed away in The Friarage Hospital on Tuesday August 8, 2006. The funeral service will take place at All Saint's Church, Northallerton on Wednesday August 16, at 11.30 a.m. followed by interment. LORD - Aubrey (nee Dixon) August 5, peacefully, in her sleep, of Upper Batley, West Yorkshire, formerly of Darlington but lived her 42 years of marriage in Batley. Aubrey, aged 77 years, a much loved wife of Clive, loving mum of Roger and David, mother-in-law of Elisabeth and loving and much loved grandma of Tom, Matt and Jordan. Funeral service took place at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Thursday August 10.


LYNAS - August 13 (suddenly), of Leesfield Road, Meadowfield. Kevin, aged 30 years, dearly beloved son of Irene and John, loving brother to Gary and Graham. Service and cremation Durham Crematorium Friday, 1.00 p.m. Would friends please meet at the crematorium.


MALCOLM - John Allan, aged 84 years, of Catterick Village, died peacefully at Rosedale Nursing Home, Catterick Garrison on August 15. Dearly loved husband of Eve, much loved dad of Sheena and Elaine and a dear father-in-law, loving grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, August 18 at 1.45 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate provided at the crematorium chapel for the Rosedale Nursing Home Residents' Fund.


MALLABY - On August 16 (peace-fully in hospital), of Finghall. Horatio (Rache), aged 86 years, dearly loved husband of Margaret, very dear dad of Norman, much loved father-in-law of Ann, loving grandad of Jane and Helen and great-grandad of Matthew. Funeral service to be held at Finghall Methodist Chapel on Thursday, August 24 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please, however donations in lieu if so desired, may be given at the service for the Great North Air Ambulance and Chapel Funds. Will friends please meet at the Chapel.
