James, aged 76 years, beloved husband of Sylvia, devoted and loving dad of Andrea and much loved father-in-law of Tony, dear brother of Gladys, also a brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Funeral Monday, April 24. Would friends please meet at 1.00 p.m. for service in St. Mary's Church, Coxhoe followed by interment in the churchyard. Refreshments afterwards at Bowburn Hall Hotel.


HEMMINGWAY - April 20 (peacefully in Richmond House). Betty, aged 76 years, formerly of East View, Barton, beloved sister of Alan. Will be sadly missed. Funeral Thursday, April 27. Would friends please meet 10.45 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.


HILL - William After much suffering, died peacefully in his sleep on April 11, of St. Marys Court, Horden. Billy, aged 73 years. Dearly beloved husband of Doris, loving dad of Bill, a dear father-in-law of Kath and a devoted grandad to Peter and Richard. Cremation Hartlepool Crematorium Wednesday April 26. Margaret (Madge, former hairdresser), treasured wife of the late Harry (Darlington cricketer), devoted aunt of Yvonne, Elaine, Joan, Jean (London) and Carol and a dear great-aunt of Tony, Mandy and Maria. Funeral Friday. Friends please meet for service in St. Augustine's Church at 12.30 p.m., followed by interment at North Cemetery.


JOYCE - April 18 (peacefully, in hospital), of Spennymoor. Margaret, aged 83 years, loving daughter of the late William and Hannah, a dear cousin and a very dear friend. Would friends please meet for service on Tuesday, April 25 at 1.30 p.m. at Durham Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu for Ward 17, Bishop Auckland Hospital. All are welcome for refreshments afterwards at The Salvin Arms, Spennymoor.


KELLY - April 20 (suddenly, at home in Newton Aycliffe). Elizabeth Scott (Betty), aged 64 years. Beloved wife of Pat, loving mam of Kieran, Terry and Paula, a much loved granny of Stuart, Samantha, Liam, Leonie, Callum, Jessica, Patrick, Paul, Kyle and the late Cara and also a sadly missed sister. The funeral service will take place on Thursday April 27, 11.00 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, prior to interment in West Cemetery, School Aycliffe. Family flowers only.
