The beloved wife of the late John, loving mum of Angie, Peter, Jan, Simon and Sandy and a dear grandma to all her grandchildren. Funeral service and cremation will take place at Banbury Crematorium in Oxfordshire on Thursday, April 20 at 11.00 a.m. Flowers or donations for Cancer Research UK, c/o J and M Humphris, 32 Albert Street, Banbury, Oxon., OX16 5DG.


MARSHALL - Suddenly in hospital, on April 14. Dorothy Hannah, aged 85 years, of Etherley Moor, Bishop Auckland, beloved wife of the late Herbert, also a much loved and loving aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Escomb Saxon Church at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, followed by interment in Witton Park Cemetery.

Mary Nora (nee Goodwin), aged 83 years, beloved wife of the late John Simpson, devoted mam of Kathleen, loving nan to Hilary, Simon and the late Colin, much loved aunt to Margaret, also dear sister of Maggie. Will friends please meet for service in St. Philip and St. James' Church on Saturday, April 22 at 10.15 a.m., followed by interment in Thornley Road Cemetery.


MATHIESON - On April 13, suddenly at peace, of Gore Hill Estate, Thornley. Thomas (Tom), aged 91 years, beloved husband of the late Mary, a dear dad, grandad and great-grandad, also a loving brother and a dear friend and neighbour of Louisa and family. Cortege leaving residence Friday, April 21 at 1.00 p.m. Friends please meet for service and cremation 1.30 p.m. at Durham Crematorium.

MOORE - April 17, in hospital, of Vere Road, Barnard Castle. Roger, aged 68 years (died quietly with great courage and dignity, after a short illness), dearly loved husband and best friend of Jean. Devoted father of John, Janice and the late Peter, special grandad of Robert, Daniel and Alexander, father-in-law of Brian and a dear brother, brother-in-law and friend to many. Would friends please meet for funeral service at St. Mary's Parish Church, Barnard Castle on Wednesday, April 26 at 12.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium at 1.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. MOTT - Mary Emma, aged 98 years, of Middleton Road, Woodland, died peacefully in hospital on April 16. Beloved wife of the late Joseph William Mott, much loved mother of Ken and Dennis, dear mother-in-law to Joan and a loving gran and great-gran. PARRY - April 18, of Darlington, (formerly of Fuengirola, Chislehurst, Colomendy and Erith). David Afan, aged 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Elizabeth, loving father of Anna, Gay and Martin, also a much loved father-in-law, grandad, great-grandad, school master and friend. The funeral service will take place on Friday April 28, at 2.00 p.m. in St. Cuthbert's Church, Market Place, Darlington, prior to private cremation. Friends welcome, please meet at the church.
