MILBURN - March 30, of West Lodge Nursing Home, Billy Row. Mary Ethel, aged 81 years, formerly of Crook, beloved wife of Jack, devoted mam of Judith and Kathryn, dear mother-in-law to Bobby and Mike, much loved and loving gran of Louise and Paul, also great-gran to Jake and Freya. Will friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church, Crook at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, followed by interment in Crook Cemetery.


MILLION - March 29 (peacefully, after a long illness), of Mount Pleasant View, Low Spennymoor. Sarah, aged 71 years, dearly loved wife of Jimmy, a much loved mam of Sheena and the late Graeme and a very dear nana, great-nana, sister and aunt. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday for a service and committal at 9.30 a.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu for the Critical Care Unit, Bishop Auckland General Hospital may be left in the collection plate at the rear of the Crematorium.


MITCHELL - March 21 (suddenly, at home). George Anthony, aged 75 years, of Bland Walk, Newton Aycliffe. A dearly loved brother of George Damien and the late George Gerard, a dear brother-in-law of Selina, uncle of Michele and husband Mark, also a great-uncle of Megan.


MOORE - On March 30, peacefully in hospital with her loving family beside her. Violet, aged 79 years, of Hundens Lane, Darling-ton. Dearly beloved mam of Anthony, Pat, Carol and Linda, loving grandma, great-grandma, sister and auntie. Funeral Wednesday, April 5. Would friends please meet for service at St John's Church, Darlington at 10.00 a.m., prior to interment at East Cemetery.


MORRISSEY - Gordon, aged 81 years, of Ravensworth, died suddenly at home on March 29, dearly loved and adored husband and soulmate of Kathleen and a dear uncle and great-uncle. Funeral service at Ravensworth Methodist Chapel on Thursday April 6 at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the Chapel. No flowers please, if desired, donations may be given on the plate provided in the Chapel for Ravensworth Chapel Funds.


NEVISON - March 27 (suddenly). Terence (Terry), aged 67 years, of Darlington, loving partner of Lynn, loving brother of Kath-leen, Maurice and Anne, a dear brother-in-law, also a much loved uncle and great-uncle. Funeral service to take place on Monday, April 3 at St. Columba's Church, Clifton Road at 10.15 a.m., prior to interment at East Cemetery. Friends invited, please meet at the Church.


O'HARE - March 29 (in hospital, after a short illness). Monica, of Haughton, Darlington, a dearly loved wife of Brian, a very special mother to Anth, Dom, Kate and Becky and a devoted grandma to Amy, Luke and Adam. Funeral to take place on Monday, April 3. Would family and friends please meet 9.00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, Welbeck Avenue for Mass, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations if so desired can be made to St. Anne's Third World Group and Cancer Research.


ORMISTON - March 26 (peacefully, in Tenlands Care Centre), formerly of Coxhoe. Florence, aged 97 years, dear mam of Jean and Violet and the late Freda and Eric, also a devoted grandma, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Cortege to leave Tenlands at 2.25 p.m. on Monday, April 3 for service in St Mary's Church, Coxhoe at 2.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Would friends please meet at Church.


PATTINSON - March 23, suddenly. Kenneth (Ken), aged 83 years, of Coundon. Beloved husband of the late Jean, treasured stepdad to June and John, also a much loved and loving grandad of Daniel and Joanne. Will family and friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 11.00 a.m. on Friday, March 31.


PLEDGER - March 20, in hospital, of 21 Elvet Crescent, Durham. Alfie, aged 90 years, dearly loved brother of the late Elsie and Doris. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Wednesday, March 29 at 11.30 a.m. By request, family flowers only please.


RATCLIFFE - March 22 (suddenly at home). Freda (nee Hay, formerly Firth), aged 78 years, of Silkin Way, Newton Aycliffe. A dearly loved wife of the late Arthur, a much loved mam of Joe and Vivien, a dear mother-in-law of Jean and Keith, a devoted gran and great-gran, also a loving sister of Tom and Marion. Funeral Wednesday, March 29. Would family and friends please meet 2.45 p.m. for service at St. Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe, prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.


ROBINSON - March 22 (peacefully, in hospital). John, aged 82 years, of Newton Aycliffe, formerly of Hartlepool, beloved husband of the late Edna, dearly loved dad of Keith, Ian and Paul, also a loving father-in-law and grandad and a much loved brother to Alan and Doris. Would friends please meet for service on Tuesday, March 28 at 11.00 a.m. St. Clare's Church, Newton Aycliffe, followed by interment at the West Cemetery.


RYMER - March 29 (suddenly in hospital), of Sutton, Thirsk. Thomas, aged 78 years, beloved husband of Margaret, loving father of Shaun, Ralph and Mary, a dear father-in-law, grandad and uncle. The funeral service will be held at St. Felix Church, Felixkirk on Tuesday, April 4 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. No flowers or cards please. Donations in memory may be made to the Medical Assessment Ward at the Friarage and the Church.


SCOTT - March 27 (in hospital), of Whin Park, Marwood, Barnard Castle (formerly of Forcegarth, Forest-in-Teesdale). Raymond, aged 66 years. Dearly beloved husband of Margaret, a much loved dad of Richard, dear father-in-law of Helen and a loving brother to Colin. Funeral Friday March 31. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 1.15 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for The Neurosurgical Department at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. SEDGWICK - March 22, suddenly. Ernest (Ernie), aged 77 years, of Shildon. Beloved husband of Marjorie, devoted dad of Carol, Cheryl, Martin and Andrew, a dear father-in-law, much loved grandad, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Shildon Methodist Church at 1.00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, followed by cremation at Durham. Flowers may be sent or, if preferred, a donation can be made for the Air Ambulance.


SMITH - Nancy, left this life on March 24, peacefully at home, of Brawton Grove, Darlington, aged 88 years. Margaret, aged 73 years, devoted wife of the late Leo Sowerby, beloved mam of "The Girls"; Pam, Miriam and Karen, a dear mother-in-law, loving grandma and great-grandma. Greatly missed by all the family and friends. Would friends please meet for the funeral service at Windlestone Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 4 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment at Chilton Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given to Windlestone Methodist Church.

William, aged 86 years, beloved husband of the late Molly, a dearly loved father of Billy and the late Keith and a loving grandfather of Cameron and Rodney.
