Ethel, aged 53 years, of York Close, Leeholme, beloved wife of William, devoted mam of Nicola, Darren, Carl, Paula and Kirsty, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving grandma, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunty. Will friends please meet for service in St. James' Church, Coundon at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, followed by interment in Coundon Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be sent for the MARA Unit at Bishop Auckland General Hospital.

DAVIS July 31 (suddenly, at home), of Meadowfield. Winifred Maude, aged 87 years, sadly missed by her family. Funeral Thursday. Would friends please meet at 11.00 a.m. for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations to The British Heart Foundation. A plate will be provided for this at the Crematorium.

DOBSON August 2 (peacefully in hospital), of Newton Aycliffe. Marjorie (Madge), aged 70 years, loving wife of Fred, much loved mam of Paul and Stephen and nanny of Abby and Chloe. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 7 at St. Elizabeth's Church, Woodham 12.00 noon, prior to interment in West Cemetery, School Aycliffe. Family flowers only please. Service at Ferryhill Methodist Chapel on Friday at 12.45 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. Would friends please meet at the Chapel and afterwards for refreshments at Dean Bank Grange.

John William (Jack), aged 83 years, beloved husband of the late Marjorie, loving brother of Jennie and Frank, dear brother-in-law to Ruby, also a much loved uncle. Funeral Thursday, August 7. Cortege leaving residence Wednesday at 2.05 p.m. Friends please meet at All Saints' Church for service at 2.15 p.m., followed by private cremation at Durham.

Ned, aged 81 years, beloved husband of the late Charlotte, much missed father of Trevor, Alan and the late Colin, father-in-law, granda and great-granda. Would family and friends please meet for service at St. Helen's Church, Kelloe on Friday at 1.30 p.m. followed by Burial in Kelloe Cemetery.

FITT August 2 (suddenly, after a long illness patiently borne at home), of Darlington. John Nelson (Nel), aged 81 years, beloved husband of the late Joan, loving brother of Ken and Stella, also a much loved uncle. Funeral Tuesday August 12. Will friends please meet for service at The West Cemetery Chapel, Darlington 11.15 a.m. prior to cremation. Floral tributes if desired to, The Co-operative Chapels of Rest, Memorial House, 50 St. Cuthberts Way, Darlington.

Monica (nee Bradley), dearly loved wife of the late Bill, a devoted mam of Ann and Owen, a dear mother-in-law of Goff and Karen, a much loved nan of Sara, Nicola and Rebecca and great-nan of Lauren and Dannielle, also a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Would friends please meet at St. Charles Church, Tudhoe on Monday for a service at 12.15 p.m. followed by interment at York Hill Cemetery.

FLANAGAN August 4, of Wear Street, Spennymoor. John (Jack), aged 91 years, dearly loved husband of the late Frances May, a dear father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. Would friends please meet at St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor on Monday for a service at 10.15 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium. No flowers, by his own request. Emma Druscilla (nee Hall, formerly Dale), aged 77 years, loving mother of Druscilla and Jimmy, Denise and John and Margaret and John, also a devoted nanna and great-nanna.
