Maureen, aged 68 years, dearly loved wife of Ken and a dear mam of Michael, Glen and Jason, also a much loved nana and a dear sister. Cortege leaving residence at 9.50 a.m. on Friday, February 24 for a Requiem Mass in All Saints' Church at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment at Chilton Cemetery.


GOSPEL - George Henry February 19 (peacefully, in hospital), of Topcliffe. Harry, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Doris, a dearly loved dad, grandad and great-grandad (former landlord of The Swan Inn, Topcliffe). Will friends please meet for service at St. Columbas Church on Saturday February 25, at 1.00 p.m.


HARGREAVES - On February 21 (peacefully), of Thornborough Hall Gardens, Leyburn. Laura, aged 76 years, dearly loved wife of the late Eric, dear stepmum of Sandra and John and much loved by their families. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Monday, February 27 at 9.45 a.m. Flowers are welcome. Will friends please meet at the crematorium and accept this intimation.


HARPER - February 17 (in hos-pital), of Whinfield Road, Darlington. Olwyn, aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late Alf and a dear aunt. Will be sadly missed by her family and her many good friends. Funeral Thursday. Would friends kindly meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 10.45 a.m. Flowers may be sent to Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington DL3 7JR.


HARROP - February 16, peacefully, in hospital, of Thomas Court, Darlington. Venus May (nee Pattison), aged 77 years, devoted wife of the late Henry, dearly loved mother of Henry, Carol and Terry. Funeral Tomorrow Friday, February 24. Leaving her daughter's residence for service in St. John's Church, Darlington at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment at East Stanley Cemetery. Friends please meet at the Church. Relatives and friends are invited afterwards to Beamish Hall. A coach will be provided from St John's Church for those requiring transport.


HARROP - February 16, peacefully in hospital, of Thomas Court, Darlington. Venus May (nee Pattison), aged 77 years, devoted wife of the late Henry, dearly loved mother of Henry, Carol and Terry, a much respected mother-in-law and loving grannie, also a dearly loved sister of Betty and the late Georgie and Mary and a dear sister-in-law. Funeral Friday, February 24, leaving her daughter's residence for service in St. John's Church, Darlington at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment at East Stanley Cemetery, where local friends could meet at 12.15 p.m. Friends please meet at church. Relatives and friends are invited afterwards to Beamish Hall. The family gratefully acknowledge the devoted care received from Hundens Park Care Home, Darlington Memorial Hospital and James Cook University Hospital.


HEDLEY - Margaret Mary (nee Forster), born September 16, 1911, died February 15, 2006. Service at All Saints' Church, Blackwell on Tuesday, February 28 at 2.30 p.m., followed by private cremation.


HELME - On Friday, February 17, peacefully, after a short illness. George William, aged 80 years, beloved husband of the late Mary, dearly loved father of Valerie, Leslie and Julia, much loved father-in-law of Patrick, Sheila and Robin and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral service to take place at All Saints' Parish Church, Northallerton on Tuesday, February 28 at 11.30 a.m., followed by a committal at Northallerton Ceme-tery. Funeral service to take place at St. Helen's Church, Ainderby Steeple on Tuesday February 28 at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment.

HORN - February 15 (suddenly), formerly of Kirkgate, Thirsk. Maurice, aged 82 years, a dear uncle and great-uncle. The funeral service will be held at the Methodist Church, St. James Green, Thirsk on Wednesday, February 22 at 2.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Would friends please meet at the church. No flowers, donations may be made to Hillcrest Nursing Home, Byng Road, Catterick Garrison.


HOWARD - (South Hetton) On February 19, aged 88 years, Jessie Evelyn (nee Walshaw). Dearly loved wife of the late James Roland a dear mother, gran and great-gran. Service in St. Michael's Church, Hawthorn, Wednesday March 1 at 1.00 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at church. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to, The MacMillan Carers, c/o, Sally Clark (Howard).


IVESON - February 23, of Escomb, formerly of Roddymoor, Crook. George Martin, aged 74 years, a much loved husband, dad, father-in-law and granda, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will all family and friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28. Family flowers only please.


JOHNSON - Alan February 20, suddenly, at home after a short illness. Alan, aged 75 years, formerly of Thornton le Beans and Northallerton, a much loved husband, father and grandfather. The funeral service will be held at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, February 28 at 10.15 a.m. Family flowers only please, by request.

Jack (John William), aged 81 years, beloved husband of Doris, devoted dad of Derek, Sandra, Vincent, Christine, Barry and Kevin, a dear father-in-law, much loved and loving grandad and great-grandad, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Shildon Methodist Church at 11.30 a.m., on Monday, February 27, followed by interment in Shildon Cemetery.


KEARS - February 22 (peacefully), of The Beeches Care Home, Kelloe, formerly of Cassop. Iris, aged 84 years, a dear cousin of Joyce and Linda. Would friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, February 28 at 3.30 p.m.


KILKENNY - Jack, died February 9, in USA, formerly of Burnhope. Brother of Billy, brother-in-law of Joyce, uncle of Stephen and Jeffrey. Service at St Andrew's, Stanley, February 24 at 12.30pm. Sadly missed.


LARDER - Charlotte Elizabeth (Lottie), aged 78 years, of Richmond, peacefully in hospital on February 16. Dearly loved wife of Sidney, much loved mother of Michael and Peter, dear mother-in-law of Carol and Julie, loving grandma of Paul, Catherine, Joseph and Thomas and a dearest sister of Mary. Funeral service at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, February 24 at 11.45 a.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium chapel. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, may be given at the crematorium chapel for the Medical Assessment Unit, Friarage Hospital.

Malcolm, aged 66 years, beloved husband of the late Marilyn, dearly loved dad of David, dear father-in-law of Linda, much loved granda to Aaron and Connor, sadly missed brother of John and the late George, also a dearest uncle. Funeral Thursday March 2. Would friends please meet 9.30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Newton Aycliffe, followed by cremation at Darlington.
