James (Jim), aged 85 years, of Newton Aycliffe, a dearly loved husband of Florrie, a loving dad of Derrick, a dear father-in-law of Susan, a much loved grandad of Rachel, David and Andrew, a treasured great-grandad of Thomas, also dearest brother of Minnie and Lily. Will be sadly missed by all his extended family. Funeral Monday, February 20. Would family and friends please meet 10.00 a.m. for service at Neville Parade Methodist Church, prior to cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, to the Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie.


MUIR - Ann (nee Horton) On February 15, of The Bungalow, Albert Street, Thornley. Ann, aged 53 years, a dearly beloved wife of Alan, a loving mother of Rachel and Stephen, devoted grandma and also a much loved daughter of Doreen. Cremation Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, February 21. Friends please accept this intimation and meet for service at Thornley R.C. Church at 1.15 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the Macmillan Nurses or Hartlepool Hospice.


NIXON - February 16, at home with his family, in Shildon. James William (Bill), aged 84 years, beloved husband of Doreen, devoted dad to Stephen and his girlfriend Teresa, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Shildon Methodist Chapel at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, followed by cremation at Durham. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be given for Chapel Funds.


PASK - Clarence (Clary), aged 79 years, of Stubbing Nook, Newton-le-Willows. Passed away peacefully at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton on February 15, 2006, a dear nephew of the late Ernest Wilkinson. Funeral service and interment to be held at St. Patrick's Church, Patrick Brompton on Wednesday, February 22 at 3.15 p.m. No flowers by request. Donations, if desired, for Church Funds.


PEARSON - February 14 (peacefully, at home), of North Close Spennymoor. Fred, aged 83 years, a dearly loved husband of Vera, a very devoted dad of John, a special father-in-law to Tracey, a loving grandad to Fred and brother to Stan. Would friends please meet in St. John's Church, Kirk Merrington Friday, February 24 for a service at 11.15 a.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.


PETERS - February 10 (peacefully) at Jack Dormand Care Centre, Horden. Edith (nee Johnson), aged 85 years, of Peterlee (formerly of Wheatley Hill). Beloved wife of the late Tommy, mother of Ann and Tom, also a dear mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Will friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Thursday, February 16 at 3.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, to Jack Dormand Care Centre, plate provided at the crematorium.


PHILIPS - February 11 (peacefully, in hospital), of Hambleton Close, Thirsk. Donald, aged 73 years, beloved husband of Shirley, loving father of David, Alan, Patsy and Diane, a dear brother to Margaret, father-in-law, grandad to thirteen and great-grandad to five. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Thirsk on Tuesday, February 21 at 12.00 noon, followed by cremation. Family flowers only please. POTTER - William, (Bill), February 15, of York, late of Ushaw Moor, aged 78 years. Dear father of John, Trevor and Barry, dear father-in-law and a dear grandad. Sadly missed.


PRATT - Nigel John, aged 53 years, of Bargate, Richmond, died peacefully at home on February 12 after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of Tansy, much loved dad of Elliott, Stanzy, Glen and Fiona and beloved son of the late Clifford and Rosemary. Funeral service at the Kingdom Hall, Tower Street, Richmond on Friday, February 17 at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in Scorton Cemetery. Friends please meet at the Kingdom Hall. Dearly loved wife of Paddy, much loved sister of Cath and sister-in-law of Catherine. Funeral service in St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Friday, February 17 at 9.45 a.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please. Robert Irving, aged 90 years, beloved husband of Doris, dear stepfather and stepfather-in-law to Christopher, Belle, Lynne and David, also a dear grandad to Paul. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday, February 16 at 1.45 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for the R.N.L.I.


RYDER - On February 9 (peacefully, at home in Bedale). Clifford, aged 75 years. A dearly beloved husband of the late Gwendoline and a loving father and grandfather. Private cremation held at his request.


SANTI - February 16, of Johnson Street, Eldon Lane. Baselio (Basel/Baz), aged 69 years, former United driver and football club doorman, beloved husband of Olive, dearly loved stepdad of Bernadette, dear grandfather of Hayley and Brett, also great-grandfather of Jamie-Lee. Will friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Witton Park at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, interment to follow in Witton Park Cemetery.


SAVAGE - Chester-le-Street February 13, peacefully, at home after a long illness, formerly of Darlington. Donald (Don) aged 75 years, a much loved husband of Doreen, dearly loved dad of Graham, Paul and Anita, father-in-law of Denise, Christine and Steven, a loving grandad and great-grandad. Will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Would friends please meet at Birtley Crematorium on Thursday, February 16 at 12.00 noon for service
