MORGAN - Andrew Sadly passed away quietly on Friday, January 27, aged 43 years, after bravely fighting cancer, never losing his unique sense of humour enjoyed by many, devoted dad of Lewis, beloved husband of Ann, much loved son of Stan and the late Audrey, also a loving son-in-law, cousin, brother, uncle and nephew. Private cremation at Darlington on Friday, February 3, followed by a service of thanksgiving for Andrew's life at St. Cuthbert's Church, Barton at 11.15 a.m. No flowers by Andrew's request. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be given in church or sent to Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington, DL3 7JR for Barton Cricket Club.


NORMAN - February 1, of St. Paul's Gardens, Spennymoor. Les, aged 84 years, beloved husband of the late Grace, dearly loved dad of Kenneth, Christine and David, a dear father-in-law, a much loved grandad and a loving brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Would friends please meet in St. Paul's Church, Spennymoor Tuesday for a service at 12.15 p.m., followed by committal at Durham Crematorium.


NUNN - January 27 (suddenly at home), of Brunton Street, Darlington. Norman, aged 61 years, a loving uncle and brother-in-law. Funeral Tuesday, February 7. Would friends please meet 1.15 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.


NUNN - January 31, suddenly at home, in Bishop Auckland. Arthur (Tug), aged 57 years, beloved husband of the late Barbara, a much loved dad, father-in-law and granda, devoted partner of Eleanor, also a dear son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church at 1.30 p.m. on Monday, February 6, followed by private cremation. Flowers may be sent or, if preferred, a donation c/o the family may be made for the British Heart Foundation.


OUGHTON - January 27 (suddenly at home), of Cockton Hill, Bishop Auckland. Dorothy, aged 83 years, beloved daughter of the late George and Florence. Will be sadly missed by family and friends. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Monday February 6 at 11.15 a.m.


PEARSON - January 30 (peacefully), of Sherburn Hospital, County Durham. Joan, aged 85 years. Loving wife of Reverend Roderick Pearson, a much missed mother to Michael, Martin and Katherine, a dear grandma to Andrew, Kevin, Freddy, Kim and Hannah. Would friends please meet for service at Sherburn Hospital Church on Monday February 6, at 12.50 p.m. followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium .


PIGG - January 31 (in hospital), of Hawthorn Street, Darlington. Margaret, aged 85 years, beloved wife of the late Ronnie, dearly loved mam and a much loved grandma and great-grandma. Funeral Monday. Would friends kindly meet for service at Darlington Crematorium at 1.45 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington.


POLLOCK - Joyce Winifred, aged 75 years, of Holly Hill, Richmond, died peacefully at Richmond House on January 30. Beloved wife of the late Paddy, much loved mum of Anne, David and the late Alan, dear mother-in-law to Chris, Susan and Diane, a loving grandma and great-grandma and a beloved sister to Margaret, Raymond, Sheila and Fred. Funeral service at Richmond Cemetery Chapel on Friday, February 3 at 12.30 p.m., followed by interment in the cemetery. Friends please meet at the cemetery chapel. Flowers welcome or, if preferred, donations may be given on the plate provided at the Cemetery Chapel for the British Heart Foundation.


PRATT - February 3, suddenly at home, in Crook. Ellen (nee Denham), aged 88 years, formerly of North Bitchburn, beloved wife of the late Joe, also a dear mother. Full particulars will follow.


RANKEN - January 27, peacefully, formerly of Shirley Gardens, Sunderland. E. Pamela, aged 81 years, a beloved sister of the late Charles, dearly loved sister-in-law to Sara and a loving aunt to Richard and Heather. Service to be held at Sunderland Crematorium on Thursday, February 2 at 11.00 a.m. Floral tributes to Scollen and Wright Funeral Service, Blind Lane, Silksworth. Tel (0191) 5239099.


RAWLING - Ronald (Ron), who was 86 on January 28, 2006, formerly of The Shop, Scorton, passed away peacefully and with dignity at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton early on Tuesday morning, January 31, 2006. Dearly loved husband of the late Freda and dearest dad and best friend of Anthea. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Bolton-on-Swale on Friday, February 3 at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in Scorton Cemetery. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations for the Coronary Care Unit and Romanby Ward, Friarage Hospital may be sent care of John Blenkiron and Sons Ltd., Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond, DL10 4AJ. At Ron's own request, no dark clothing please.

Mary Louisa (nee Spence), aged 87 years, dearly loved wife of the late Harry, much loved mum of John and dearest grandma of Richard and Simon. Funeral Monday, February 6. RICHMOND - January 29 (peacefully in hospital, after a long illness). Joseph (Joe), aged 82 years, of Darlington, beloved husband of Joyce, dearest father of Christine, loving grandad of David and Nicola, great-grandad of Daniel and Abbie, a dear father-in-law to Mike, brother-in-law of Eileen and the late Norman and Jimmy and the late Betty. Funeral to take place on Wednesday, February 8. Would family and friends please meet 2.00 p.m. for service at Haughton Methodist Church, prior to cremation at Darlington.


RIDDELL - January 29, peacefully at home, after a short illness. Nora Elizabeth, aged 94 years, of Darlington, beloved wife of the late Donald Marshall Riddell, dearly loved mam of Beryl and Keith, much loved nana of David, Michelle and Pam, adored great-nana of Victoria and Diane, also loving sister of Olive and Ron. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, February 2 at St. Mark's Church, North Road, Darlington at 9.30 a.m., prior to interment in the North Cemetery. Friends invited, please meet at the Church. John, aged 84 years, devoted husband of Elsie and the late Anne, loving dad of John and Thomas, dearest father-in-law of Maureen and Carole and a very proud grandad and great-grandad. Mildred, aged 84 years, beloved wife of the late Eric, loving mam of Malcolm and Derek, much loved mother-in-law to Sandra, loving grandma to David, Richard and Jenny, also a dearly loved great-grandma to Lily. Dearly loved husband of Yvonne, wonderful father of Katie and Jennie, father-in-law to Ronnie and Chris and a very special grandad to Lucas and Dylan. Funeral service at St. Agatha's Church, Gilling West on Monday, February 6 at 1.30 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at Church.
