William (Bill), aged 73 years, of Kirkby Fleetham, loving husband of Lilian, dearly loved dad of Jeremy, dear father-in-law of Fiona, devoted grandad of Jessica, Liam and Alistair, also a dear brother and brother-in-law. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Kirkby Fleetham on Thursday, November 2 at 12.00 noon, followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to be shared between the Macmillan Nurses and Herriot Homecare (plate in church).


CLARKSON - On October 28. Norman Winter, aged 77 years, of Kirkby Fleetham, Northallerton, died at home, peacefully, after an illness fought with great courage and dignity. Dearly loved husband of Maureen, much loved father of Denise and Kevin, dear father-in-law of Richard and Ann, loving grandad to Daniel, Jade, Joseph and Jed and a dear brother and brother-in-law. Funeral service at St. Andrew's Church, Great Fencote on Friday, November 3 at 1.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at church. Family flowers only please, if desired, donations for Cancer Research, these may be given on the plate provided in church.


CLOSE - Christiana Rachel (Kitty). Passed away peacefully at home (Brockholme), on October 27, 2006, aged 91 years. Beloved mother of Jim, Dave and Doll, loved mother-in-law of Mavis, Lorraine and Leslie, a much loved nana and great-nana. Funeral service to be held at Thornton-le-Beans Methodist Chapel on Thursday November 2, at 12.30 p.m. followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium on Thursday November 2, at 1.45 p.m.


COLLINS - Billy, died suddenly on October 4 aged 66 years, dear husband of the late Ellen, dear dad of David. Will be sadly missed by all. Memorial Service at St. Bede's R.C. Church, Sacriston on Tuesday, November 7 at 10.30 a.m. All welcome.


COLLINS - October 27, peacefully in hospital. Florence, aged 88 years, a devoted wife of the late Douglas, a loving mother to John and the late Ann and Mary, also a dear sister, nana and mother-in-law. Funeral to take place on Monday, November 6. Would friends please meet 1.45 p.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.


COPELAND - November 2 (peacefully, in hospital), of Carrymoor Farm, Hornby. Tony, aged 55 years. Much loved husband to Jean, loving father of James, Hannah and Sarah, also a dearly loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Funeral Thursday November 9. Would friends please meet 9.45 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu can be made at the crematorium to Ward 41, D.M.H.


CRAM - Edna October 30 (in hospital). Edna in her 93rd year, late of Ferryhill Station and Eden Drive, Sedgefield. Dearly loved younger daughter of the late Annie Isabel and Tom Cram and sister of the late Ciss, Jack, Doris and Tom, a much loved aunt, great-aunt and friend. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday November 7. Cortege to leave the home of her niece, 49 The Meadows, Sedgefield at 1.30 p.m. for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium at 2.00 p.m. No flowers by request, however donations in lieu may be sent to, The Finance Department, Sedgefield Community Hospital, Sedgefield. TS21 3EZ.


CRAWFORD - October 27 (peacefully in the loving care of South Church Care Home), late of St. Andrew's Road, Bishop Auckland. Laura (nee Payne), aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late James, dear sister of Jack, dearest sister-in-law of Sylvia, also a much loved aunt. Friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church on Thursday, November 2 at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in Bishop Auckland Town Cemetery.


CROFT - October 29, peacefully in Maple Lodge, Scotton, late of Thornton Watlass. Emmy, aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late Victor, dearly loved mother of Paul and Neil, also dear mother-in-law to Rosemary and Bridget and a dear grandma to Emma and Stuart. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Tuesday, November 7 at 1.15 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, for Multiple Sclerosis Society.


CURRAH - (McGann) October 26, suddenly at home. Joan, aged 34 years, a dearly loved mam of Chantelle, Bridie and Tilly, a much loved daughter of Anita also a dear sister, granddaughter and niece. Funeral Monday, November 6. Would family and friends please meet at 11.15 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.


DAGGETT - Elsie On November 1, peacefully in the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. Elsie, aged 87 years. Wife of the late John, a dear mum, gran and great-gran who will be sadly missed. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Friday, November 10 at 11.45 a.m. Family flowers please by request. Donations may be given in lieu, if wished, a plate will be provided at the service.


DAVIES - Pity Me October 29, peacefully, in hospital. Joyce, aged 79 years, dear wife of the late Ray, a much loved mother of Jocelyn, Raymond, Glyn and Christopher, also a dear mother-in-law and gran. Friends please meet at Chester-le-Street Parish Church at 1.00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2 for service, prior to interment in Chester-le-Street Cemetery.


DAWES - On November 1, tragically, of 14 Woodside, Leyburn (formerly of Fleensop, Coverdale). Elizabeth (Libby), aged 16 years, beloved youngest daughter of Brian and Trish Dawes, dearly loved sister of Carolyn, Michelle and Sandra and a very dear sister-in-law, auntie and best friend to Hannah. Funeral service at St. Matthew's Church, Leyburn on Thursday, November 9 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment at Leyburn Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to be shared between Church Funds, Family Bereavement Services and Wensleydale School Funds (plate in church). Friends please meet at the church.

Dearly loved wife of Jim, much loved mam of Tricia and Barbara, dear mother-in-law to Eric and Ian and loving nana of Paul, Gareth and Stuart. Funeral service at Scorton Methodist Chapel on Friday, November 3 at 11.00 a.m., followed by interment in Scorton Cemetery. Friends please meet at the chapel.
