GAME Elsie August 13 (peacefully in hospital, after illnesses bravely borne). Elsie (nee Metcalfe), aged 89 years, of Eastbourne Road, Darlington. A dear wife to the late Jack Raymond Game (retired Railway Foreman) and beloved mother to Carol Turnbull, who passed away September 11, 2002 after a long battle with cancer. Elsie leaves behind devoted granddaughter Joanne, who she had raised since birth. Will be very sadly missed but always fondly remembered. Funeral Thursday, August 21 at 11.15 a.m. at West Cemetery Chapel, prior to cremation.

GIBSON August 16 (peacefully), of Newtown House, Stanhope. Averil May, aged 86 years, dearly loved daughter of the late John and Gertie Daisy Gibson, of Wallsend.
