SIMPSON August 25 (in hospital). George, aged 80 years, of Gray's Terrace, Redhills, Durham, a much loved husband of Peggy, a very dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Funeral to take place on Monday. Will family and friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium at 1.00 p.m. and afterwards at Mount Oswald Golf Club. All welcome. SIMPSON Harry (Sonny) August 26, surrounded by his loved ones. Harry, aged 73 years, (formerly of Osbourne Haulage). Beloved husband of the late Doreen, most dearly loved partner of Diane, loving and devoted dad of John, Kate, Pam and Val, dear father-in-law and grandad. Cortege will leave residence on Monday for Funeral Service of Thanksgiving at the Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Hart Village at 1.00 p.m., prior to interment at Hart Village Churchyard. Friends and neighbours are kindly invited, please meet at the church. No longer here our lives to share, But in our hearts he is always there.

WATSON August 27 (in hospital), of 14 Ronaldshay Close, Richmond and formerly of Carlton in Coverdale. Jack, aged 88 years, dearly loved husband of the late Sylvia, very dear father of Barry, much loved father-in-law of Vera and devoted grandad of David and Garry. Funeral service to be held at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Friday, September 5 at 1.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington Crematorium at 2.45 p.m. Family flowers only please. However, donations in memory of Jack, if so desired, may be given for the Great North Air Ambulance Service, c/o Simon Barningham, Manor Farm, Grinton, Richmond, North Yorks., DL11 6HL. WATTS Ruth Mary (nee Jackson), aged 49 years, of Oak Cottage, Hunton, died peacefully in hospital on August 18. Dearly loved wife of Gordon, much loved mother of Jonathan and Caroline, loving daughter of Hilda and dear sister to Stephen. At John's request, a private funeral service and cremation will be held at Darlington Cremator-ium. WYNN August 22 (suddenly), of 50 Crossgate, Durham. Jen, aged 63 years, dearly loved wife of Bob and loving mother of Adele, David, Stephen and Peter, also a loving grandma. Friends please meet for service at St. Margaret's Church, Crossgate, Durham on Friday August 29 at 12 noon. Cremation to follow.

Loved husband of Mick, loving mother of Ronald and Christopher, dear mother-in-law of Marion, also much loved grandmother of Jordan. Betty, dearly loved wife of Peter and much loved mother of Marguerita, Fiona and Julian. Funeral Thursday, September 11 at 11.00 a.m. at Harrogate Crema-torium. Elizabeth (nee Heaps), aged 79 years, dearly beloved wife of Robert (Bob), dearly loved mother of Ron and Loraine, dearest mother-in-law of Mary and Ron and a much loved nana of Andrew, Maxine, Paul and Lynn, also a great-nana of Robbie, Jake, Rhys, Daniel and Bethaney. Cortege leaving residence Friday, 12.50 p.m. Friends please meet at St. Alban's Church, Trimdon Grange for service at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment at Parish Cemetery.

ATKIN August 28. Doris Stobbs, aged 86 years. Mother of Anne and Peter, died peacefully at High Hall, Bainbridge. Funeral service to take place at Darlington Crematorium Thursday September 4, 1.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium.

BAKER August 29, at home, of Stanhope Road, Darlington (formerly of Melsonby and Hartlepool). Moira, aged 69 years, beloved wife of John, mother of Elspeth and grandmother of Michael. Funeral Thursday. Friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 3.45 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be sent for St. Teresa's Hospice, The Woodlands, Woodland Road, Darlington.

BARBARO August 29. Vincenzo (Vince), aged 70 years, of Bishop Auckland, a much loved and loving dad, father-in-law, grandad and good friend to many.
