Dearly loved wife of Pete and much loved by all her family and friends. A Service of Celebration will take place at St. Cuthbert's Church, Colburn on Tuesday, September 9 at 2.30 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Friends please meet at the church. At her own request please wear colourful clothing at the service. No flowers please. If desired donations, for Leukaemia Research, are being accepted by John Blenkiron and Sons, Funeral Directors, Victoria House, 21 Queens Road, Richmond. DL10 4AJ.

CRAIGANS August 30, 2003, peacefully, in Northallerton Friarage Hospital (formerly of Aberdeen). Arthur, a devoted dad, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral 1.00 p.m. Friday, September 5 at Methodist Church, High Street, Northallerton, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only. David, aged 28 years, beloved son of Lynda, David and Fred, a much loved brother of Mary and Nicola, also a loving uncle of Elaine, Shane, Charlotte, Stacey and Mark. Funeral Friday. Cortege leaving residence Thursday at 1.50 p.m. Friends please meet at Holy Trinity Church, Wingate for service at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment at Station Town Cemetery.

DUFFY On August 31, suddenly taken from us, of 20 Hawthorne Close, Langley Park. Dicky, aged 62 years, beloved husband of Elaine and devoted dad of Richard and Richelle and doting grandpa to Joseph. Friends please meet for service at All Saints' Church, Langley Park on Friday, September 5 at 3.00 p.m., interment to follow in Langley Park Cemetery and afterwards all welcome at his request, to celebrate his life, to Langley Park Cricket Club.

Elizabeth, dearly loved wife of the late Jack, loving mother of Enide (Ebbie) and Jane, mother-in-law of Gordon and a much loved grandma of James, Richard and Andrew. Funeral Thursday. EDGAR August 23, at Bishop Auckland General Hospital. Audrey, aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Isaac, loving mother of Grace and a much loved grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Funeral Thursday, September 4. Would friends please meet 9.30 a.m. for service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Shafto Way, Newton Aycliffe, followed by cremation at Darlington. Everyone is welcome afterwards at the church.

EMERSON September 1 (in hospital), of Wheatside Farm, Bildershaw. Thomas Matthew, aged 82 years, dearly loved son of the late Thomas Valentine and Margaret, a dearest brother to Margaret, also a dear brother-in-law, uncle and cousin and a very good friend of Paul. Interment Tuesday, September 9 in West Auckland Cemetery, following a service in St. Helens Church at 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at church.

ENGLISH August 29, of 8 High Street, Tow Law. Anthony (Tony), aged 58 years, devoted husband of Joyce, a dearly loved father of Janice, Steven and Jason and a loving grandfather of Casey and Declan. Friends please meet for service in St. Philip and St. James' Church, Tow Law on Thursday, September 4 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in Thornley Road Cemetery.

EWBANK September 3, in hospital, of The Nurseries, Leyburn (late of West Witton and Temple Farm, Swinithwaite). Alice, aged 81 years, beloved wife of the late John Ewbank, a much loved mother of Richard and Chris and a very dear grandmother. Funeral service at St. Bartholomew's Church, West Witton on Tuesday, September 9 at 1.00 p.m., followed by interment at West Witton Cemetery. Friends please meet at the church.

FARRY (Bertie) John Herbert, aged 79 years (Richmond). Cantankerous but best friend and loving dad to Gill and John. Funny and devoted grandad to Peter and William. Died quietly at home, September 3. All meet at the Town Hall on Tuesday, September 9 to say farewell at 10.15 a.m., followed by a short service at Darlington Crematorium at 11.15 a.m. Family flowers only, donations in the flat cap at the Town Hall for a care organisation.

FIRBY August 31, of 118 Brauncepath Estate, New Brancepeth. Dawn, aged 34 years, dearly loved wife of Peter, much loved mam of Rory and will be sadly missed by mam and dad, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles and all family and friends. Would friends please meet for service at New Brancepeth Methodist Church on Friday, September 5 at 10.30 a.m., followed by interment in Ushaw Moor Cemetery. Family flowers only please. GRAY September 1, late of Gladstone Street, Crook. Doreen (Dorrie), aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Emmerson, devoted auntie of Paul and John and also a dear sister of the late Tom. Friends please meet for service at St. Catherine's Church, Crook on Monday, September 8 at 10.00 a.m., followed by interment in Crook Cemetery.

GREY (Dixon) Joyce (nee Hudspeth). Aged 86 years, died after a long illness on August 31 in Berwick, Melbourne, Australia (formerly of Bearpark and Ollerton). Loving wife of the late late Harry and Jack. Much loved mother of John and Dennis, very dear mother-in-law of Mavis and Maureen. Very loving grandma and gran to Julia, Donna and Paul, Kerry and Dave, Dennis and to great-grand children Kayla, Benjamin, Lauren and Ben. A dear sister to the late Audrey and loving aunt to June and the late Joyce and their families. Fond memories of times past will always be with us, now at Peace Joyce.
