Dot, aged 79 years, beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of David, Michael, Stephen and mother-in-law to Carole, dearly loved grandmother of Danny and Sophie, loving sister of Madge, also a much loved aunty. Funeral Friday, September 5. Would friends please meet 9.45 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium.

Tom, aged 83 years, husband of the late Vera, father of Joyce and Eileen, grandfather of Nicola, Mark and Stephen and great-grandfather of Matthew, Jamie and Holly. Ethel Beatrice (Beattie), aged 91 years, dearly loved wife of the late Harold Alfred, much loved mam of Harold Vincent and a loving gran of Gordon and his wife Deborah. Funeral Monday. Would friends please meet for service in Darlington Crematorium at 10.45 a.m.

PEACOCK John On August 31, 2003, suddenly but peacefully at home, following an illness, dearly loved husband, father and grandfather. Funeral service will be held at St. Stephen's Church, Acomb, York on Monday, September 8 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation, to be attended by family and very close friends only. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to Oxfam, a plate will be available at the service.

POWIS John, aged 68 years, of Skeeby, died peacefully in hospital on September 1, after a courageous fight against Leukemia. Beloved husband of the late Daphne, much loved father and friend to Kevin and Anne, Trevor and Nicky and grandfather to Charlotte. Funeral service at St. Agatha's Church, Easby on Monday, September 8 at 10.00 a.m., followed by private cremation. Friends please meet at the church. Family flowers only. SOWERBY Linda, aged 82 years, formerly of Garth Cottages, Mickleton, died peacefully at Rydal Nursing Home, Darlington on August 28. Beloved daughter of the late John Henry and Sarah Sowerby.
